I couldn't believe my ears.It felt like a nightmare to even think what would have happened within seconds.But the biggest question here is why would she do that???

I was never close to swara but she was laksh's best friend and because of him I knew few things about her. From what I knew she was a very ambitious girl and not the type of girl who would take life so carelessly.
She was a girl who would stand against anything that would come in her way and she was a responsible girl.She was more like a college diva,everyone liked her and she had earned it.Half the college was crazy behind but never did she take advantage of this nor did she hurt them.She used to handle it brilliantly without causing any trouble.That's why everyone liked her.

If she has taken such a drastic step then I believe there would be some strong reason behind it.

Coming out of my thoughts I turned to look at laksh who sat there crying silently.I went to him

Sanskar:calm down man everything's gonna be alright.
Laksh:I donno what to do ,I'm scared.

Sanskar:But I'm still wondering why would she do this??
Laksh:Because she has gone crazy.

Sanskar:what??what do you mean??
Laksh:I've told her a million times that we can never be anything more than friends but she wouldn't understand.
And now she is trying all these stupid tricks get back to me which makes me feel more distant from her.I almost feel like I don't even know her.

Sanskar:what???wait a second you're telling that swara likes you and she did all this because you rejected her??
And you're telling me this now after all this drama.Have you gone mad laksh.Think what would have happened if you were a minute late.Such things cannot be resolved using your intelligence idiot.
And not even once you felt like telling me this??
Laksh:Its not that,I always wanted to tell you everything but I didn't want to spoil her name.She was my best friend and i didn't what this to ruin our friendship, I always waited that she would change.

Sanskar:So you thought you would not tell anyone not even your best friend and suffer alone.Good decision dude.
Laksh:I know you are angry but telling you would have just created more tension nothing else.

Sanskar:Together we could have talked to her,she is an educated girl laksh,she would understand. Moreover she is your best friend,you could have explained things calmly.Always ignoring or being rude doesn't help.
Laksh:Do you thing I have not tried explaining her,I have done it in every possible way.Only when I thought that it was not working I started ignoring her thinking that by this atleast she would get over her feelings for me.I never ever even in my dreams thought she would drag things this far.

Sanskar: But swara doesn't seem so weak that she would try commiting suicide just because you rejected her.
Laksh:The only mistake I did was I lied to her.For some days she tried contacting me even though I was ignoring her.But after few days She had stopped trying and I started feeling bad.So this time I tried talking to her and start afresh as I didn't want to loose her friendship just because of some stupid feelings.I wanted her friendship back but without those feelings for me.
Even when I meet her friend she said how sad swara used to stay these days.She had almost gone into depression.
So I came up with an idea and thought it would change her feelings of love towards me.I texted her saying "I like someone else and she should try to burry her feelings for me as it can never come true". I even asked her can't we stay like before as best friends.
I didn't get any reply and after about an hour I got a call from her friend saying swara tried commiting suicide.I felt numb for a second. Somewhere I felt I was the reason for her state.i never imagined this would take such a ugly turn.
