Chapter Six

Kiba took Kankuro around the village. Taking him into shops he found interesting and treating the older boy to different small foods that Konoha was known for. He smiled a little and Kankuro looked around a bit. Kiba bites his lip and thinks a bit.

"What's Suna like?" He asked.

"Well..." Kankuro thought, "sand. Lots of fucking sand. And it's hot. Super hot."

"Well is there anything good?" Kiba laughed a little as he listens to Kankuro, grabbing out a treat for Akamaru.

"The food, don't get me wrong. Konoha food is pretty good but I think it's just the fact it home food. I like what they make their. It's nice. I'd say the people but, I'm not big on them. I think really, I only like the fact that my family is there but even now. Temari is here all the time," he shrugged.

"Well I'd like to visit sometime," Kiba smiled and let Akamaru have the treat.

"Trust me, you don't. You'd stick out like a sore thumb there. Everyone at the Suna is pretty mature and uptight, no fun. No giant ass dogs either," Kankuro said and smiled.

"I'm mature!" Kiba said and crossed his arms a little, making a face.

"Mhm sure you are, Mutt."

Kiba gave a little glare at Kankuro at which with the older smiled at. After quite a while of walking around, Kiba had turned his walking into a wooded area. Kankuro was a bit confused as to why it seem Kiba was taking him out of the area. He tilts his head and Kiba let Akamaru run off along the path.

"Where is he going?" Kankuro asked.

"Home, we live back here. We always have," Kiba replied.

Kankuro nodded a bit and smiled slightly, thinking that the Inuzuka's literally lived in the forest like a pack of wild dogs. It wasn't long before they came to clearing with a big house. There was a fence around some sides were some dogs were at. The other side had a building built off that had a sign with "veterinary center" written over it. Kiba opened the door and let Akamaru run in, hoping onto the couch to make himself comfortable. Kiba smiled and grabbed Kankuro's hand which made the puppeteer tense slightly.

"Hey come on in. There's no one to judge you here. My mom and sister are pretty chill," Kiba said gently and tugged Kankuro inside.

Kankuro gasped a little and looked around the open house. There were dog toys all around and bones. Treat boxes and little dog beds in the living room. He walked around and was great with a delicious smell and followed a little to peek into the kitchen. He saw a tall women in the kitchen who was working on dinner. Her hair was crazy and messy just like Kiba's. He assumed this as his mother, man she looked exactly like Kiba just a little older and female.

"Kiba! About time you got back. I figured you were hurt or something you damn idiot. You know the fucking rule on staying out!" the woman turned around and didn't see her son but someone new, she grabbed a knife out and quickly came over.

"Oh shit! I'm uh...I'm Kankuro I swear I'm here because Kiba brought me," Kankuro said anxiously when he felt her knife against his throat.

"Oh yeah, where is he?" She said and pressed close sniffed him, "you smell like him. Where's my son?"

"Umm I-"

"Mom! Hey! What the hell?! I was letting Akamaru out to the play area outside. Jesus Christ! That's my friend!" Kiba said angrily.

"Oh," She said and looked at the frightened boy, "Sorry hun, I'm Tsume. You said your name was Kankuro."

"Yeah, I'm sorry for bothering. I thought Kiba was following," he mumbled.

"So mom, Kankuro is staying the night tonight. He's from The Sand Village. He is also the same sand nin that saved me and Akamaru," Kiba said.

Tsunade looked at the awkward looking Kankuro. Kankuro wasn't good at new people at all and wasn't good at being praised for a mission. He blinked a couple times and watched the woman put the knife into the table. He made him flinch slightly, man she was intense. Then she wrapped her arms around Kankuro tightly and hugged him close. He felt surprised at first, not really used to hugs at all but he hugged back.

"Thank you so much for saving my son. I tried to find you but you must've left before I could," Tsume said.

"It was no problem. I took that guy down in like 5 minutes. No issue at all. It's okay," Kankuro replied.

"Alright, well the food should be ready. You two go to the table," she said.

Kiba nodded and took Kankuro to the table and sat down. Kankuro sat down slowly and rubbed his hands on his lap, looking around a bit. He just felt so awkward here and he sighed softly. He then felt a hand on his and he looked at Kiba. The younger one smiled and watched as Kankuro gave a little blush.

"Don't seem so damn awkward you weirdo," Kiba said and moved hand away when Tsume walked in.

"Here's dinner," she said setting a plate in front of Kankuro and she down with her own plate.

"Thank you," Kankuro replied.

"What about mine?" Kiba asked.

"Do I ever make your plate? You're old enough to get your own damn plate," she said.

Kiba groaned loudly and stood up, going to the kitchen. Kankuro smiled at them, laughing a little to himself. Tsume smiled and watched Kankuro as she started to eat. Kankuro looked down on the plate, it was a large plate of rice and an amazing looking curry. He smiled more and grabbed his fork, tucking it under some rice and chicken before taking a bite. He hummed a little, Temari rarely made something like this and her's was nothing compared to Kiba's mother. He watched another girl walk to the kitchen and tilted his head. That must've been Hana, his older sister. She looked exactly like them too but her hair was long, tame, and in a ponytail.

"Move your ass! Don't take all the food you asshole!" She yelled.

"Hey, not my fault you were the last one," he heard Kiba laugh.

"Not my fault you were the last one out of mom you bitch! Now move," she growled and shoved him out of the kitchen.

Kiba came out of the kitchen with Hana pushing him. He a devilishly smirk as he walked over and sits at the table beside Kankuro again. She flicked him off before grabbing her plate and started to walk back down the hallway again. Kiba watched her leave and then he looked at his mother.

"Why doesn't she have to eat at the table?" He asked.

"Hana is working with a lot of animals right now. She is busy. She's going to be there for probably the rest of the week. And tonight, I have a mission they need me on. So I I'll be leaving after I'm finished eating," Tsume said.

"Oh okay. Well we'll just be here I guess," Kiba said then glanced at Kankuro a bit, "don't you have something to tell my mom?"

"Oh! Um, thank you for the food. It's really good," Kankuro said.

"No! Not that you idiot. Ya know.." Kiba mumbled.

Kankuro blinked a couple times before he ate some more. That mutt was talking about coming out to her so it would help him. He sighed a little bit and set down the fork. He then put his hands on his thighs again and rubbed them a little. He nodded and messed with his gloves next.

"What is it?" Tsume asked, tilting her head.

"I..I know it doesn't matter to you but..I don't have any parents. And, I'm afraid to telol my siblings. Kiba thought it might help if I told at least one adult that.." Kankuro was having a hard time with this, "th..that I..I like guys.."

"That's okay. You shouldn't be ashamed of it," she finished her food and stood up, "You're siblings might think it's weird at first. Maybe but trust me, if you guys love each other they'll come around to you eventually. I knew Kiba was gay, it's a mother instinct and when he would come home smelling like guys it wasn't a surprise."

"Hey!" Kiba interrupted and watched as Kankuro smiled.

"Hana was a little shocked but she still loves and beats her brother up the same. It just happens. You'll be okay, alright? And if not, you always have a home here darling. I owe you for saving my son," she said gently and pats his shoulder before she went to grab her dog for the mission.

"Oh...wow, thank you. Thank you a lot Tsume," Kankuro said.

"No need, really. Now I'm heading off, don't bother your sister because she's busy, got it Kiba?" She said.

"Yeah sure thing mom," Kiba replied.

"And don't you two be too rowdy tonight, I don't wanna come home to a wreck of a house."

With that comment she waved and took her dog out with her, shutting the door. Kankuro felt the what go to his cheek again and he quickly looked away. He finished his plate and Kiba smirked a little bit. Kiba finished his food as well and he shoved the plate away.

"So, wanna go to my room?" Kiba asked.
