Mikey's POV

I couldn't handle staying in such a bright waiting room. There were so many people there, despite it being close to the middle of the night. I felt anxious and wanted to get out of there. Gerard tried to comfort me, holding me close and telling me she was fine, but I felt something inside me telling me she wasn't. I did this to her, I caused her to almost take her life. And such a precious life it was, her family, friends, amazing grades in school, she'd give all that up for a dick move I made? "Hey, um, I'm gonna head to the bathroom, just to wash my face up a bit," I told Gerard, beginning to stand up from my seat. "Oh, ok. Don't worry, I'll save your seat." He smiled. I awkwardly went up to a nearby nurse and asked for directions to the bathroom. She pointed me down the hall, and I followed her directions. As I was walking, I noticed that all the doors had a clipboard with the name of the patient who was staying in the room. They were all unfamiliar, just words on a piece of paper to me, until I got to one door at the very end of the hall, just in front of the bathroom. It was her room. " Y/L/N, Y/N" it read in big bold letters. I felt the blood in my face drain, a huge lump beginning to form in the back of my throat. "Oh fuck," I whispered, my voice breaking slightly. I stepped back and bumped into an incoming doctor who looked very impatient. "Hey, watch where you're going!" he snapped, and I moved back into the empty restroom. It was quiet and made me feel a bit better than the situation I was in before, but that didn't stop me from thinking about the mess I created. "Stupid, stupid, STUPID! You fucking idiot! Why would you do that? You ruined everything!" I yelled, slamming my fists onto the sink. Out of frustration, I slammed myself shut in the restroom, my eyes stinging with tears. I leaned against the wall and stayed there. "I'm so sorry I did this to you, Y/N, I didn't mean it! You kn-" I heard someone's footsteps, stopping me from saying anything further. "Excuse me, is there a Mr. Way in here?" A female nurse asked. "Um, y-yes I'll be out in a second." I quickly wiped my nose with the sleeve of my shirt. "It's fine sir, take all the time you need. Just make sure to go to the room right in front of you when you walk out, your friend asked for you." She stated and walked away. "Shit shit shit.." I got out and took a large step toward the door, but I stopped myself. I looked at the door knob, hesitantly reaching for it. "Come on, you can do it. It'd make everything even worse if you just left." I thought. Without a second thought, I took a deep breath and opened the door.

A tired pair of eyes met with frantic ones. There was a silence tugging at both of them, their eyes the only form of conversation. "Y-Y/N?" Asked Mikey, a stutter in his shaky voice. "Mikey," began the girl, and stretched out her arms for a hug, her voice breaking. Mikey quickly walked over and hugged her, holding her tighter than he ever did before. A choked cry escaped from him. "I'm sorry! P-please I didn't know what I was doing! I made a stupid mistake that almost made you do something unthinkable, please don't do this ever again, Y/N, please," he let out, muffling his tears on her shoulder. She pulled her away and looked at him with the E/C eyes he fell in love with when they first met. "I know you, Mikey. You'd never do that to me, that was a totally different person n-not you. And I made a totally out of the question decision and acted like a little kid! I would never want to lose anything I have, especially not you," she whispered. She grabbed his hand and held it towards her cheek. "I'm so sorry, I will never do that again. I love you, Mikey, and yes, also Gee. I don't want to leave you guys." A shaky smile formed on his lips. "I-I love you too, Y/N." They both smiled happily and hugged eachother with a newfound feeling for eachother,
