Just reread this ol' tag book and yea it's been a while since I've done a tag

I'm going to alternate between my old NaNo novel "Half of the Kingdom" and my WIP. Mainly HotK.

1. Describe the plot in one sentence

Sheltered noble girl wants to do her own thing and her cool new friends help her out.

2. Pick one sight, smell, sound, feel, and taste to describe the aesthetic of the novel

Mountains and trees, pine trees and parchment, a deep, honeyed voice, cold jewelry on skin, blood

3. Which 3+ songs would make up a playlist for the novel?

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm     mmmmmmm mmmmmm mm uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yo i have no idea for HotK and i totally forget what songs i'd listen to while writing. Medieval/celtic/fantasy stuff i guess. For the amalgamous wip, Malchin's favorite song is Pretty Boy by Taemin, Hisoka's favorite song is (uuhhh) the Cello Suits by Bach, an Kaitlin's favorite song is (UUHHHHHHH) Toxic by Britney Spears. 

4. What's the time period and location in which the novel takes place?

HotK Terinnia in some year. Never figured that stuff out. Amalgamous WIP literally anywhere I want it.

5. Is this a standalone or a part in a series?

Both standalones.

6. Are there any former titles you've considered but discarded?

The title Half of the Kingdom was the whole reason the story came up. You know that trope of ruler saying they'd give anything up to half the kingdom? I thought huh what if someone actually took that and ran with it. Which is funny because that never even came close to happening.

7. How many times does the word ___ appear in the novel?

can't find find and replace on docs so we'll make something up. Shrugged and Sighed appeared a bajillion times. oh i found find and replace. Blood occurs 60 times.

8. What's the first line that comes up when you search ___?

Pride: "She said with some pride when stating her father's office"

9. What's the first line of your novel?

"It was a beautiful day in the kingdom and her father was coming home!"

10. What's a line of dialogue you're particularly proud of?

o frick i can't reread my whole novel right now. we'll go with this.

"You speak in riddles, Iphnis,"

11. Which line of the novel most represents it as a whole?

Couldn't tell you. We'll go with this "A faint grin crossed his lips."

Let's track down my old pinterest board. As with ver, a lot of my characters are really their own people and faces, but there are a few

14. Which character's name do you like the most?

Karayan Batal has a ring to it. I like Iphnis too. And Roric. I like Kailtin's name too. Her real name is Catalina, but since elementary school she's gone by Kaitlin. I don't know if she decided that or if someone made it a nickname.

15. Describe each character's daily outfit.

Karayan wears red and leather and silk. Miryanna wears nice simple and elegant dresses, or comfortable rugged clothing. Nynesi is FancyTM. Hisoka wears decent, practical clothing he finds at the thrift store and his favorite colors are pink and yellow but he is colorblind so wish him good luck with that. Kaitlin is Edgy. Malchin is Trendy.

16. Do any characters have distinctive birthmarks/scars?

Roric has a small scar lengthwise under his cheekbone but it doesn't really stand out. I say Karayan has these scars along his face but they came out of nowhere and went nowhere and they're kinda dropped now. Malchin has a scar in his earlobe from where he ripped out his piercing but that's a story for another time.

17. Pick a color to represent each character.

Karayan: blood. Iphnis: Pale transparent ice blue. Miryanna: green. Nynesi: maroony purple. Andarin: brown. Roric:  Black. Hisoka: soft pink. Malchin: red. Kaitlin: fire.

18. Pick a font to represent each character.

Miryanna: Georgia. Karayan: Cinzel. Andarin: Helvetica Nynesi: Pinyon Script. Roric: Metamorphous. Iphnis: Rock Salt.

19. Which character most fits a character trope? Which trope?

See the thing about both these stories is that one of the core values of them was to get away from tropes. That being said, Karayan is evil and hot. Malchin is dumb and pretty (he is smart actually tho don't let the dyslexia fool you)

20. Which character is the best writer? Worst?

Miryanna is the best writer, Iphnis is the worst. Hisoka is the best writer. Malchin is the worst(best storyteller tho).

21. Which character is the best liar? Worst?

Karayan is the best liar, Andarin the worst. Malchin is the best liar, Hisoka the worst.

22. Which character swear the most? least?

Miryanna doesn't see the use for strong language. Roric uses "rough" language, but not exactly dirty words. Karayan keeps his spoken word quite clean, his inner dialogue on the other hand.... Hisoka does not swear because he is good boy, Kaitlin and Malchin have outswear contests, but Malchin has been alive longer so he wins.

23. Which character has the best handwriting? Worst?

Nynesi has a very practiced hand, Iphnis has a nonsensical scribble. Hisoka keeps it neat, Malchin is very dyslexic and hates reading and writing with a passion and so his handwriting is absolutely The Worst.

24. Which character is most like you? Least?

I really can't answer who's most like me. Roric is least like me.

25. Which character would you most like to be?

I think Kaitlin. She's super fit, can throw knives, knows her way around, very tough, good style... I would say Nynesi or Karayan because luxury but they go through some stuff so no.
