"You kids are very disgraceful. Time to die with your friend there."

"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!"

Right before he was about to stab Shino, a random tin can was flung directly on the head of the man with the knife. Man turn around and sees a wounded, but still going Kazuto panting with his back against the wall.

"You filthy grunt, just want to die don't you."

Then for whatever reason, the man let go of Shino and went straight directly towards the wounded Kazuto. While he was heading towards Kazuto, Kazuto tried to develop a quick plan to stop him 'If he could just come a little closer, I can knock off his knife away by hitting his hand with my bokutō Lake Toya, then strike him back with the remaining energy I have.'

The plan was full proof, until a fatal flaw occurred. As the man was 2 steps away from Kazuto, Shino ran and stand in front of Kazuto trying to defend him.

"S-Shino, you gotta get out of here. You'll get killed."

"No way I'm not leaving you."

The man stopped his tracks. Amused by the sudden turn of events.

"Awe how cute. Protecting your boyfriend to the very end I see."

"I would rather die protecting him instead of letting him die from people like you."

"Shino..."

"How touching. But hey I'll do you a favor. Once you both die, you two will join together. In hell!"

The man started to sprint towards the two. As the tip of the knife was about land on Shino, her body was suddenly got pushed to the side, leaving her on the ground. When she looked at the back at where she was, she saw the person you pushed her away. The man with the knife cut Kazuto on the shoulder. A small shriek of pain came out of Kazuto's mouth. Kazuto then proceed to his plan. He used his bokutō Lake Toya to smack his hands. Then proceeds to aim for his head. He used one swing at his wooden sword, directly hitting his nose which cause his nose to be dislocated.

"AAAAHH MY NOSE!!"

Kazuto was on the offensive. Smacking him again and again on the face of his attacker. Though the man blocked some of his swings, Kazuto attempted to attack the weak spot of all men, the crotch. Kazuto kept swinging his wooden sword so that the man uses both of his arms to defend him. Then the weak spot came wide open. He quickly kicks him in the crotch Smuggler style causing him to scream like a little girl. (Now for those who have not played Star Wars The old Republic, The smuggler class is the only class that allows the user to stun a target by kicking them in the crotch (Even female Characters). Its so powerful, When you kick, it creates a cracking sound on impact. I think its relevant because that game is an MMO XD. The more you know.)He place both of his hands on his balls, leaving his face wide open. Kazuto used this opportunity to press on to his final attack.

"H-I-I-I-Y-A!!!"

One powerful swing to the face. A punch to the kisser. The man's head was launched to the wall. Sustaining more injuries from both the sword and the impact. The man fell, then stood up clumsy trying to retreat.

"You may have won this round kid, but I'll get you back some day!"

As the man ran away and came to an intersection, 2 police officers coinsidentally stumbled upon the injured man. The 2 officers tackled him down to the ground. Hand-cuffing the criminal and requesting for some back up. As a police car arrived, one of them looked back at where Kazuto and Shino was. Him and another came towards them and provided some help for there injuries.

"Hang in there son. Help is coming."

"I'll be fine. But I want to know, is my friend alright?"

"Your friend is completely fine. She told us about your heroic deed. Thats dangerous for you to do that. But it can't be help."

Once the ambulance arrived. The policeman gave Kazuto a hand to get to them. A few hours later, paramedics had finish treating Kazuto.

"That should be good. Your lucky it was only a flesh wound. We manage to stitch up your shoulder. However please avoid doing and physical labor that involves your shoulder. You will have to wait at least 2 weeks. Understood?"

"Yes sir."

"Good. Now due to what you witnessed. You and your girlfriend will be escorted by a policeman back to your home."

"Thanks....W-wait a minute she is not my-"

"One can never be to sure of the outcome of the future. That you want to keep in mind. Stay safe out there."

The ambulance drove away with incredible speed. 'That is a weird paramedic.'

-20 minutes later-

"If there is anymore criminals after you, let us know and we'll get there as soon as we can."

"Alright thank you!"

Both Kazuto and Shino had arrived at the Kirigaya household. As they came to the front door, Shino was still concerned about Kazuto's injuries.

"Kazuto, are you sure your alright?"

"Of course I'm fine. There is no need to worry."

The door opened With Sugu with a worried look.

"Your late! Where the heck were you baka!"

When they came inside, both Kazuto and Shino discuss the events that occurred. What they found out from the police was that man was one of the people that worked for Shinkawa Kyouji, the boy that had ruined Shino's friendship.

"That man worked for Shinkawa Kyouji?!" Said Sugu

"Yes but it doesn't make sence. How did he manage to hire an assassin to hunt us down?" Said Shino

"I don't know but we have to inform Seijirou about this." Said Kazuto

"Agreed." Said both Sugu and Shino.

"Alright then because of the incident, Shino, your going to stay with us for tonight." Said Sugu

"Eh are you sure?" Said Shino

"Of course you can just take my room and I'll sleep downstairs." Said Sugu

"Actually....I was wonderign if I could sleep in Kazuto's room."

"Eh? Why my room" Said Kazuto

"I just felt like it ok?"

"Ok ok. Guess I'll be sleeping down stairs then."

After a few minutes, everyone said there good nights and went straight to bed. When Shino went into Kazuto's bedroom, she was actually sort of surprised about his room. She initially thought that his room was messy, but it was clean, not a single piece of trash anywhere, his bed is set up for her to sleep on, even a bottle of water in case she is thirsty. 'Thats sweet of him.' thats all she could say.

-A Few hours later-

Shino tried and tried again. Not being able to sleep due to nightmares coming back again and again. Thinking back to the event a few hours ago. Still worried about Kazuto's injuries. Because of this, she decided to come down stairs where Kazuto was sleeping. When she came down, all she see was a sleeping Kazuto.

'Whew, at least I know he is sleeping fine.'

Shino came closer to examine the sleeping boy.

'He looks cute when he is sleeping......what am I thinking?! Stop it Shino.'

Shino kept hitting her head with her hands to avoid the idea of him being "cute". While she did this, she heard him talking in his sleep.

"Shi....Shin....o"

Shino looked back at him.

"Shino...I hope you enjoyed Halloween.......... We should do it next year"

Shino was shocked to hear Kazuto talking about her. 'He is.....dreaming about me?'

'I'm....so sorry for the trouble......I...hope you....can forgive me....'

Shino was speechless on what to say. 'Kazuto....it wasn't your fault. You shouldn't blame yourself for that.'

Shino felt a lot of joy about him caring for her. 'If only I could repay him with something.'

Shino then thought of a bold move. Shino got close enough to be face to face with Kazuto. 'Look, I know your still with Asuna. But......I will always be there for you Kazuto if you need any help. Thank you for being there for me.'

Shino gotten closer, just inches away from each other. Sadly, she only want to do it just for a few seconds. Her face was getting more red the closer she gets, her heart beat was beating for hundreds of miles, she felt he deserves it. Shino gave him a kiss on the cheek that she felt was the best thing that happened in her life. When she let go of him, the moon shine through the window of the living room. The light of the moon shine on the two friends. Shino felt at ease.

'The moon looks beautiful.'

Shino looked back at Kazuto, she sees from a worried look, to a happy Kazuto. Shino never felt this much happiness over a single person. It was the she needed for so long, love.

*giggle

"I'm glad your happy. Sweet dreams Kazuto." Whispered Shino

Shino walked away and head back to his room with a blush on her cheeks. She attempted to sleep once again. Only this time, with ease.

Meanwhile downstairs, right after she went upstairs, the sleeping Kazuto awoke from his slumber. Looking at the moonlight throught the window. He looks at the moon thinking about what he was dreaming. Though while dreaming,he could have sworn he felt something soft on his cheek.

'I wonder if she is sleeping alright.'

He decides to go to his room to inspect Shino. When he opened the door slightly and peeked through the cracks of the door, he sees her sleeping peacefully, With a cheerful look.

'Looks like she sleeping fine.'

Feeling calm, he closed the door and went back to where he was sleeping. As he went to sleep, one last thing that he thought he should ask tomorrow.

'Heh....I wonder if she kissed me while I was sleeping.'
