I don't even know where to start. I want to apologize for the lack of updates for the pass 2 months ish. School has been so busy I just didn't have the time for it. I also would like to apologize for not putting up the story on Thanksgiving. I just didn't have the time for it. On a bright note, the Thanksgiving special is right here XD.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy.

A month past since the Halloween incident. Ever since that faithful night, it brought the two friends more closer than usual. During that time, both Shino and Kazuto would always hang out after school, sometimes at his home, sometimes at her apartment, they even go out to eat once in a while. They had been doing this so frequently that Sugu thought that they were going out on a date. Despite that claim, both friends told her its not a date, but more of a "friendly" date.

"Uh- huh. So if its not a date, then why are you always hanging out with each other." Said Sugu Smiling mischievously.

The three teens were inside the Kirigaya household while having some tea.

"I-its for helping each other with homework right Kazuto." Said Shino.

"*yawn. Yeah its true, she sometimes offer me some food during our studies. Though I said no, she still insisted on getting it for me. So in return, I repay her with help on her assignments that she struggles on."

"Sounds like a date to me." Said Sugu

"Well at least the food is better than that ridiculous daily meal that we always have." Said Kazuto

"Hey! There is nothing wrong about having a salad."

"Nothing wrong?! We have it everyday!!"

Then the siblings argument had begun. A cold sweat drop appeared on Shino's head looking at the two. To her eyes, it was a cat vs. dog fight. She looked at her calendar, now realizing that tomorrow is Thanksgiving. ' Oh great, another year staying at home eating microwave turkey dinners.' Every year, Shino had always had to face this part of her grief, having no one to invite over, no family members or friends. Even though she tries to cheer herself up, she still felt the same, alone, empty and sadness is what she felt every time.

Shino step out of their fight and decided to walk back to her apartment quietly. Her attempt to remain quiet immediately fail right when a familiar voice heard.

"Shino, where are you heading?" Said Kazuto.

"Heading home." Said Shino.

The silence fills the air. The two stared at each other, waiting for one to say something. Shino started speak.

"You wanna walk with me?" Said Shino

"....Sure."

Both teens prepared their shoes and started walking to Shino's apartment. While walking, they both admired the scenery of the city. Though it was not lively as it should be, the town looked astonishing. Both of them made small talk about the city at night. The lights that go in rows, to the busy drivers heading home, the autumn leaves falling down on the sidewalk and the tall buildings. They both thought all of it was intriguing.

However despite their small talk, they remain silent for part of the walk. Then, Kazuto brought up the question.

"Hey Shino, what do you do for Thanksgiving?" Said Kazuto.

No response. Shino thought about it for a while trying to figuure out what to say. But in the end, she decides to say the truth due to her trust.

"To be honest, nothing really. My family lives at a different part of Japan that I don't know of. All I do is eat a turkey dinner and go to sleep. That is mainly it."

Shino waited for Kazuto to pity her. But instead a small laugh is what she end up having.

"What are you laughing at idiot?!"

"Haha. Its nothing, I never expected that answer." Said Kazuto.

Shino turned slightly red by the sudden reaction yet angry at the same time.

"I'm sorry Shino. Hey do you wanna come to my house for Thanksgiving?"

"Eh?"

"I know you have been feeling lonely so why not join us? You get to meet more of my family."

"Your entire family is coming?"

"No just my uncle and cousin this year, everyone else is busy."

Shino thought about it for a while, then she made up her mind.

"Sure I'll join."

Kazuto smiled at the response.

"Excellent! I'll meet you tomorrow at 1:00pm."

As they arrive at Shino's place, she opened her door to get in. However, right before she went in, she turned to face Kazuto and gave him a quick hug.

"S-Shino?"

Shino said something to him, but he was not able to hear what she said due to her face is on his shirt.

They said there good night and Kazuto went straight home. While he was walking home. He was thinking about Asuna's unusual actions at school. 'It's strange, I still can't figure out why she is avoiding me so much.'

He pulled out his phone, finding the phone number that said "Asuna, the girlfriend." and called her.

"........"

Waiting for her to respond. Until eventually:

"Hello?"

"Hey Asuna!"

Kazuto felt glad that he can finally talk to her.

"Its been awhile, how are you doing?" Said Kazuto

"I have been busy, but overall its good."

"So.....I was wondering if you want to come over to my house for Thanksgiving?"

After Kazuto said that, there was silence, no response for three minutes until she finally responded.

"I'm sorry Kazuto. But I can't, I'm having Thanksgiving with my parents."

"That is fine with me."

Awkward silence returned once again. Normally they would talk non-stop but for the pass couple of months, they became less talkative.

"Anything else Kazuto?"

"There is one more thing.."

Kazuto hesitated for the moment, but he really wanted to know.

"Whats going on with you lately?"

"Hmm?"

"Ever since we came back from school, you have been distant whenever I'm around. I like to know if I did something?"

".....No you didn't do anything wrong. Alright I got to go. Night Kazuto."

"Wait I-"

The phone call ended. Kazuto felt slightly better, know that the issue wasn't him. However new question were coming out of his mind.

He arrived his home and did his usual routine before going to bed. When he went to his bed, he laid on his bed for a while thinking about the small conversation. Though something that bothered him. 'Why did she ended the call so quickly?'

-Asuna's house-

Right before she hung up, she heard a knock on her door. Soon as she heard that, the immediately turned off her phone and opened the door.

"Yes?"

Behind her door was their family butler.

"Ms. Asuna, a man is here to see you."

She went out of her room to come downstairs to see the man. There was a man in a black tuxedo with a blue tie holding roses. His was dark similar to Kazuto's and was slightly taller than Kazuto.

"Hello Asuna, do you remember me?" Said the man.

As soon as she heard the sound of his voice, her eyes widened as she immediately recognized the voice.

"James?"

So a quick things about "James" he his a character that I made up for the sake of the plot to thick XD. He was a survivor of the SAO incident who had been friends with Asuna before she met Kazuto. They were part of the Knights of the Blood faction for a while until one day, he supposedly died according to other group members of there faction, which actually made Asuna cry for hearing that news. Yes at one point, she did have some affection towards him. UNTIL today they meet once again.
