By the time Alice found Sue, she saw Tommy standing beside her and Miss Desjardin in front of the both of them. Alice stopped  and listened to what they were talking about. listen with Due respect, Miss Desjardin, this is between Sue and me, you know it's kind of like a private thing, Tommy told Miss Desjardin. And what's the big deal anyway? Tommy asked Miss Desjardin. It's just for one night right? famous athletes like Tim Tebow, he takes kids to prom all the time and everyone loves him for it, Tommy said. Really? Miss Desjardin asked Tommy. You're hardly a famous athlete , this is a really big deal for her, Miss Desjardin told Tommy. Listen it doesn't matter, she said no, Tommy said. So you'll try again, Sue told Tommy. 

Don't, Miss Desjardin said. Ok, Tommy responded. It's not ok, Sue told Tommy. Tommy when you show up to prom with Carrie White on your arm, don't you think you're going to look the tiniest bit ridiculous? Miss Desjardin asked Tommy. We don't care how we look, Sue told Miss Desjardin. Do we? Sue asked Tommy. No, Tommy responded as the bell rang. Come on, Sue told Tommy as the walked away from Miss Desjardin. 

Hey Sue, Tommy, is it true what you both said to Miss Desjardin about asking Carrie to prom? Alice asked Sue and Tommy. Yes, it was my idea, to make up for what we did to Carrie, Sue told Alice. We aren't tricking Carrie, I promise, Tommy told Alice. Because if this turns out to be a  trick of any kind I will kick both your asses and break your noses for Carrie, Alice told them. I'll talk to both of you later, Alice told Sue and Tommy.

                                                                          Time Skip

Alice got home and was surprised to find her dad wasn't home which made her relieved and happy. Alice entered her bedroom and set her book bag on the floor. Since Alice wanted to hang out with Carrie, Alice went inside her dad's room and took out one of his bibles. Alice grabbed her purse and car keys, went out to her car and got inside. Once she got to Carrie's house, she grabbed her purse and her dad's bible and hot out the car, shutting the door and locking the doors. She walked up to the door and knocked. Alice waited and seconds later, Margaret opened the door. Hi Miss White, Alice began. What are you doing here? Margaret asked Alice. I'm here to see Carrie, as she held up her dad's bible. I was wondering if you would allow Carrie and I to read and pray for a little bit, before I have to head back home, Alice lied.

You can come inside, Carrie is in her bedroom, Margaret told Alice. I'm glad you finally found God, Margaret told Alice. Thanks, Alice responded, knowing that she was lying to Margaret. Alice walked inside and went to Carrie's bedroom and walked inside. Alice saw Carrie reading. Alice took notice of a crucifix on the wall above Carrie's bed, two lamp lights were on. Alice closed the door behind her. Hi Carrie, are you ready to practice some more telekinesis and levitation? Alice asked Carrie. Yes, Carrie responded as she nodded her head. Alice sat on the bed beside Carrie  as Carrie closed the book and set it on the bed. 

Alice set he mind of levitating herself up into the air, as Alice rose up in the air she got herself in a laying position, then got herself in the position of standing upright. She watched Carrie smiling. I love Carrie's smile, Alice thought to herself. Carrie soon levitated herself upright in front of Alice. This is fun, don't you think? Alice asked Carrie. Yes it if fun, Carrie responded. Once Alice set herself on the floor, Carrie did the same.  At the same time, Alice and Carrie used their telekinesis to move up their books and other objects, then set it back on the bed moments later.

So are you going to prom with Tommy? Alice asked Carrie. Yes, Carrie responded. Have you been asked to prom yet? Carrie asked. No not yet, Alice responded. It's ok, I'm just happy for you, Alice told Carrie. Don't worry Alice, Freddy Holt is going to ask you to prom, Carrie told Alice. How do you know that? Alice asked Carrie. I heard him, Carrie responded. Through telepathy or visions? Alice asked Carrie. I know you will have a good time at prom, I heard Freddy saying or thinking about when he's going to ask you, Carrie responded. Good to know, Alice responded. A least  I won't be alone at prom and will have a prom date, I do love dancing and music, Alice thought to herself. Freddy is a good guy so I'm sure I'll have a good time with him, Alice told Carrie. He is Tommy's friend after all, Alice added.

                                                                                      Time Skip

Alice walked out of Carrie's house and got into her car and drove home. When Alice reached her driveway, she undid her seatbelt, turned the car off, took the keys out, opened the door and locked it, them slammed it shut. She walked into the house, walked up to her dad's room and put the bible back. Alice then went to the kitchen to eat and made herself soup and once she was done making it, she say alone at the kitchen table eating it. Once she was done she put her spoon and bowel in the sink and washed it then put it away. Alice dried her hands with a paper towel then threw it in the garbage. 

Alice walked up the stairs to her bedroom and locked the door behind her. She took the box of money out from under her bed and put one hundred dollars in her purse so she could buy herself a new purple dress for prom. Alice then put the box back under the bed. Alice then heard knocking on the door that was coming from downstairs. She walked down stairs and towards the door and opened it. Freddy Holt stood there. Hey Alice I was wondering if you want to be my prom date? Freddy asked. I'll be you prom date, Alice responded. I'll come by and pick you up 7 o'clock, Freddy told Alice. Ok sure, Alice responded. By the way it's great you're friends with Carrie White, Freddy said. Well you know what my friends did to her, so I befriended her, Alice responded. So anyway I'll see you at school and at prom, Alice added, but just as friends. Ok sure that's fine with me, Freddy said. I'll see you later, Freddy added. Ok later, Alice responded. 

She watched as Freddy turn around and walk away. She then closed the door and walked back into her house and closed the door, then walked back up to her bedroom. She opened up her laptop and turned it on and typed in her password. She decided to watch the movie " The Brothers Grimm" . Soon Alice heard knocking on her bedroom door. Alice got up and walked toward her door, unlocked it and opened it, and saw her dad. So you've finally found God, Her dad said. I talked to Margaret White, so if you want to save you soul you better continue praying. Alice was surprised at her dad not being abusive, so she decided to lie to see how this would play out. Her dad handed her his bible. Here's one of my bibles, her dad added. Ok, Alice said, as she took the bible from him and watched him walk away. Alice shut her door, locked it and went back to laying on her bed and continued watching the movie.

Alice knew her dad was only acting nice because he thought she became religious and he hated anyone who he knew wasn't religious. She still hated her dad, however she could play pretend until she was done of school and could move away and end contact with him forever. She would only comeback to visit her mom's grave only if she moved to another town or city.
