Chapter 1
His friends believed that Thame had abandoned them, but even at that distance he still managed to keep an eye on them. He didn't chat with them; he knew that they would have just ignored his messages, especially Dylan and Jun, but whenever he had a few minutes of free time, he checked their social accounts to see how their lives were going after a month of separation.
The company was quite quick to disband everything related to the failed Mars project. Jun and Pepper were the two members who had it easier: they already had another possible career, so right after Thame left, the company offered to support Jun's acting career and Pepper's ambition to become a host, even giving him a small yet pretty active new show.
Nano, who was unable to decide which interest he wanted to pursue, was soon reassigned to another group that was supposed to debut soon. The company was obviously aware of his talent as a choreographer, and so it hoped to use his experience to fuel the new group.
Dylan was the unluckiest of the group. After the initial enthusiasm, he realized after a few days that he couldn't survive just by singing in an abandoned parking lot. After a few days of hesitation, he decided to go back to the company. Pemika couldn't offer him a work as an artist, but only as a part-time model. The rapper felt his ambition crushed, but he eventually accepted, hoping that staying in the company would mean that sooner or later he might get a better opportunity.
Thame didn't know that he was observed too though. Po managed to get a new contract as Mick's assistant. This meant that, since his boss was way too lazy to handle things himself, Po got access to some very interesting documents.
"Po, we've just received this. Deliver these documents to Miss Pemika, it's urgent" Mick ordered. Po was surprised to sense some preoccupation in Mick's usually calm and lazy tone. He took the papers and looked at the first page. His eyes widened, he rushed to the CEO's office and knocked on the door, while still reading the rest of the paragraph.
"You may enter" she said from the inside. Po entered the office, he closed the door behind him and gulped. He slowly approached the desk, fearing the woman's reaction.
"Mick says it just arrived..." the guy said hesitantly. Pemika realized that something was wrong. She took the paper and started reading.
Dear Ms. Pemika,
I hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to discuss concerns regarding Mr. Thame Teema Kanjanakitkul and his ongoing challenges in adapting to the lifestyle and working environment required within our company.
Despite our best efforts to support Thame in this transition, he has encountered significant difficulties in adjusting to the rigorous training schedule, cultural expectations, and overall demands of the industry. Given these ongoing challenges, we have growing concerns about the viability of his continued stay in Korea under our current arrangement. As this situation directly impacts our investment and operational planning, we believe it is necessary to consider alternative solutions.
After careful deliberation, we propose that Thame return to Thailand. This decision would relieve our company of the financial responsibilities associated with his accommodation and daily expenses while allowing him to continue his development in a more familiar environment. However, we strongly recommend that Thame maintain his commitment to learning Korean by enrolling in an online language course, ensuring he continues progressing in his linguistic and cultural proficiency.
We would appreciate your cooperation in facilitating this transition and ensuring that Thame remains dedicated to his training and development. Please let us know your thoughts on this proposal at your earliest convenience, so we may proceed with the necessary arrangements in a timely manner.
Thank you for your time and understanding. We look forward to your response and to working together on the best course of action for Thame's future.
Best regards,
"Is everything alright, ma'am?"
"No, apparently Thame is coming back... well, Po... I will assign you to become his assistant. You will take note of what he does, and most importantly what is causing him trouble. I expect at least a weekly report on the matter, do you think you can do it?"
"Yes, ma'am"
"Very good. Write a response telling them that we accept their terms and that we are waiting for the details of Thame's arrival. You may go now"
