I could be a better Boyfriend than Him (FreenBecky)
Warning: This is a work of fiction and has nothing to do with the people's actual relationship. I am in no way shipping Freen and Seng together neither does this have anything to do with the known conflict.

It's early in the morning. Too early for anyone to wake up. The budding sun had just started to peak from behind. But not everyone had the luck to sleep peacefully all night.
Freen was an actress of idolfactory. With her recent project, she had stayed up to practice and revise her script with her co-actor Seng.
But it'd have been great if that was all that kept her awake all night long. The filming of their series had started but Freen was pretty much left behind due to just ending the filming of her previous series. She had to keep up with others which had her awake even after Seng had left.
But that was still not all. Freen and Seng's recent series went so popular that Seng and Freen were shipped and had to do fanservice. Even though Freen and Seng were friends, the fanservice eventually developed into something more until they both started officially dating.
It had been a few months since they started dating and after some time passed, it had been getting clearer and clearer for Freen that she and Seng were not compatible for each other.
Freen was a shy and introverted girl. She preferred staying that way. She was often busy and focused on her work. While Seng was someone who constantly needed attention and when Freen wasn't able to give such, he would get mad and throw a tantrum.
The problem was small at first but with time it grew so much that Freen felt like she was the guy in the relationship and had to give up her real self. She had held it in until that day.
When Seng and Freen were practicing their lines together, Seng wasn't focusing on the line. Instead, he kept disturbing Freen. Freen got annoyed constantly but still didn't say anything.
“Let go of me, Seng.” Freen yelled and shrugged her arm off which Seng was grabbing tightly. Seng removed his hand and looked at Freen in shock. He had never heard her yell and he was shocked to hear her do so.
Freen sat up straight and leaned against the bed beside her. “Can you just let me focus for one minute?” Freen asked, her voice back to the soft tone she usually used.
Seng furrowed his eyebrows and sat up straight before landing his hand on Freen's shoulder. “Did you just yell at me?” He asked, his voice raised.
“Sorry…” mumbled Freen. Seng stood up immediately. Freen followed after, standing up as well. Seng looked at Freen as if in disbelief. “You're sorry?” He asked, his voice already dripping with rage.
“Seng…” Freen murmured as she landed her hand on the shoulder of Seng. Seng brushed the hand off. “Are you literally annoyed with me, Freen? Do you not like me anymore?” Seng asked, his mouth open. He ran his hand through his hair and looked around.
“It's not like that, Seng…” Freen couldn't reply properly. She was worried. She was worried everything would end. She wasn't much worried that her relationship would end but she was more worried about her career. “Let's end it. You don't seem to enjoy it anymore.” Seng mumbled and started walking towards the door.
“Seng! Seng!” Freen walked after Seng but he was too fast. He left the place in anger. And there was Freen's biggest nightmare. Having to act with her ex. And not to mention the risk of losing the chance to do the series anymore. What if Seng backed out to play a couple with her? What if the director kicked them out of the series because they didn't have chemistry anymore? Or because they didn't like each other anymore?
After lostfully trying to go after Seng, Freen gave up and fell on the bed in disappointment. She was disappointed in herself because she couldn't keep up with this relationship for just another month, till the filming was over. She didn't like that relationship and she felt like Seng didn't too or maybe they just weren't supposed to be together?
She laid on the bed disappointed, with the script in her one hand and quietly started reading the script. As expected, that night, she didn't or couldn't go back to sleep. She knew it wasn't her fault for maybe not feeling anything towards Seng but she still felt guilty as if she just ruined it all.
In the morning, when she arrived at the set, she understood that everything was a mess. The shooting was about to start but Seng was nowhere near the set.
The staff had called him multiple times but he didn't pick up. Watching Freen enter the set, Becky walked towards her to ask about Seng. Freen got worried and called Seng as well and this time, he picked up. “Seng, why aren't you at the set yet?”
“Hmm? I'm sorry. I slept through.” Seng answered. It was obvious that he just woke up but however, he still could have faked it. He yawned in a way that almost sounded fake.
“Please come to the set. Right now.” Pressed Freen. Becky placed her hand on Freen’s shoulder to comfort her. Freen calmed down and walked back to the set.
Becky, she was another actress from the cast that Freen had been close to for a long time. She had been through her side almost all her acting career.
The first role Freen got was a side role with Becky as a minor role. And that's how she got to know her well. Being in the same company with not a very big set of actors, it made it easier for them to get closer.
Becky and Freen had both joined the acting department in the same year even though Freen was older than Becky. In their whole career, they had played in 3 different series, 1 of which they played as best friends of the main leads.
It was really easy for them to play best friends when at this point, they had already become best friends and even in that series, they were playing best friends again.
That series was supposed to be the first series of Freen as the main character and she was nervous. In her previous series, she was shipped with Seng which gave her the opportunity to work with him as a main couple but now that little conflict, she hated it. She didn't want it to ruin her career.
After making her way to the set, the director had decided to film the scenes with Freen only or the ones with Freen and Becky first. Freen agreed.
The first scene was supposed to be a cute moment between the best friends. “Scene 1. Cut 1. Take 1. And…action.” The director yelled out as Freen and Becky stood in their place.
Freen sat on a chair quietly, Becky taking a seat right opposite her. Freen looked distracted. She stared at a glass on the table as Becky called out her character's name. “Ai’Min! How long are you going to keep neglecting this?” Asked Becky's character, Nam.
Freen looked up at Becky but didn't utter a word. She stared back at the glass with her expressionless face. Her eyes shone with revolving tears but they didn't fall down. “Min!” Becky touched her arm, shouting. “If you don't want him to do this, then talk to him. You can't just stay quiet and distance yourself from the world like this.” Becky continued.
Freen touched Becky's hand over her arm. “I…” She sobbed. A tear ran down her cheeks onto Becky's hand. Becky stood up and sat on the chair right next to Freen. She gently put her hand on Freen's chin to lift her face and lock eyes with her.
“He- he will leave me if I tell him so.” Freen finally replied in her broken voice. Becky's thumb gently rubbed against Freen's cheeks, wiping her tears. “He won't. If he really loves you, he won't.” Becky replied, running her hand through Freen's face and hair to properly wipe the tears away.
“Don't cry na.” Becky mumbled and smiled widely, spreading her arms towards Freen as in a hug. Freen leaned forward to wrap her arms around Becky and feel the embrace.
Freen's head rested right over Becky's heart. It was beating so fast. She could clearly hear the heartbeat of Becky rhyming with her own. She had never heard Becky's heartbeat when they were that close. Becky ran her hand through Freen's hair and stared at her. Her eyes had a special amount of sparkle, a sparkle she only had when she was with Freen.
The truth was that Freen had had a crush on Becky for over a year. It started with friendship, getting closer and finding each other attractive until it slowly developed into more.
Both Freen and Becky were aware of their feelings because Becky felt it too. She was never as happy with someone else as she was with Freen. With time, they had realized that their feelings were mutual but they stayed quiet, just making sure they didn't let go of the other. Jealousy, possessiveness, dates, attraction, obsession, like, everything was available in their relationship but without a confirmation, probably the reason why Becky had stopped talking to Freen for over a month when Freen revealed her relationship with Seng.
But sometimes, it was a lot. Like times when they were supposed to play scenes together and would get lost in each other’s beauty. Like now. “Cut! Great job ladies.” The director shouted, getting our best friends back to reality.
After the scene, a few more alone shots of Freen were recorded and then they were given a break.
After going to the bathroom to wash up, Freen walked her way towards the outside of the set. There was a quiet and alone sidewalk along with a bench in one corner.
Freen sat on the bench and sighed, thinking about everything that happened in the flash of the eyes. She wondered if Seng was even going to come to the set like he said he would. She wondered how Seng felt about the day. She wondered how Becky felt about the scene they shot just now. She wondered why Becky's heart beated that fast. She wondered why her own heart beated that fast. She wondered why she felt so comfortable only around Becky but not around Seng.
Freen looked down at her legs, swinging them back and forth. She felt strange. A feeling she couldn't describe. She felt sad but happy. Distressed but stressless. Locked but free.
In a few seconds, she felt the presence of someone next to her. Looking up, she saw Becky standing beside her with a wide smile on her lips.
Freen smiled back and Becky sat next to her. “What are you doing here alone?” Becky asked. Freen looked back at her shoes and sighed. “Just thinking.” She replied.
Becky acted slightly startled and looked properly at Freen, fixing her posture. “Is it about Seng? Did you have a fight with him?” She asked and Freen nodded followed by another sigh.
“We broke up.” Freen mumbled. Becky's expression totally changed. She looks at her in shock. “Why?” She asked but Freen didn't reply.
Freen looked around and dragged herself just a bit closer to Becky. Becky stared at her mesmerized but confusedly. Freen stared back.
For a few seconds, they only looked at each other in awe. Their mouths made no utterance yet their eyes were throwing whole paragraphs at each other.
Freen silently looked at Becky as she noticed her leaning forward. She didn't push her away. But she couldn't think of the consequences either.
Before Freen could open her mouth to utter any word, she felt Becky's soft lips on hers. Her hand smoothly moved to cling to Becky's neck and get a better control of the kiss. Becky's hand moved to Freen’s chin.
They moved their lips and face with the rhythm of the kiss and that's when Freen noticed with the side of her eyes that someone was standing at the door, watching them. Freen immediately brushed Becky away as a reflex as she realized the person standing there was Seng.
