Bad or Hot? (KhaotungFirst)

The sun bid through the clouds. The shine of the sun was almost blindingly beautiful. On the hotness of the day in Bangkok, instead of staying at home and resting, our innocent boy, First, the librarian, sat at his library, watching people pick up books.

The day was just usual, even the hotness was usual because of the normality of Bangkok for such. Until there was an unexpected arrival of an unknown figure.

Through the door of the library entered a figure wearing an all black outfit, almost looking like a rockstar in his leather jacket. He wore a black mask up to his crook of the nose. A black hat, almost covering his dreamy looking eyes.

It caught First's attention for sure. The man looked like a literal thug and even from a bit far, you could tell he wore at least another set of clothes underneath his jacket on that hot day which was utterly strange.

The man entered and walked directly towards the inside of the library. Standing at a corner of a bookshelf while looking for a book, not providing a single glance at the man, sitting at the book counter.

Watching the man not giving any attention to others, everyone inside the library looked at each other, obviously intimidated by his looks, they whispered little things to each other before everyone started getting out of the library one by one.

Even though the figure of the man and the clothes he wore suited him so much that he was almost embarrassingly attractive in First's opinion, it frustrated him quite a bit that just the arrival of the man shooed so many of First's customers.

After looking at the man for a while, First came to realize that the man was stumbling across a book as if not able to find what he was looking for. Despite the slight frustration, First stood up from his chair, taking steps towards the man as his heart beat grew faster. Could be because he began to find the man attractive as hell or could also be because the man was freaking intimidating. Either way, First's heart was not taking it well.

Standing right behind the man, First landed his hand over the man's clothes slowly, making sure to not startle the man and also making sure his hand didn't touch the man's bare skin at all. But First was pretty sure that the clothes were so thick he wouldn't even recognize that a hand was touching him. “Do you need help, sir?” First asked, stepping back a little bit.

No answer came from the other side. Doubting that the man heard him, First walked closer. Until his gaze landed on a black strip towards the man's ear when he came to realize that the man was wearing earphones the same color as his hair and cap so he didn't see it.

Not wanting to bother the man anymore, First drifted his hand from the man's shoulder before taking steps back towards his seat behind the counter.

For some moments, there was nothing but silence in the whole library until the man picked up a book and walked towards the counter.

By the time the man stood there, First was busy checking the forms of the members of the library. “How much is this?” The man asked.

First didn't realize the question as it was almost muted due to the mast the man was wearing. He only came to realize that there was someone standing until the man's left hand landed on the counter and the man slightly leaned on it.

First finally looked up, his eyes shifting towards the man's right hand which had a book gripped tightly. “1984” by George Orwell. The infamous book of the infamous author it was.

“How much is this?” The man asked again, his voice was deep and even more attractive than his whole figure. First was a bit shaken by how sexy the man sounded.

First tried to hold back his laughter after hearing the question. Letting out a soft sugh to soothe the attempt, he mumbled, “This is a library, not a book shop.”

The wrinkles of the man's eyes grew crooked as he obviously was a bit taken back. The man took a deep breath before landing his right hand along with the book on the counter and leaving the book there. “Fine.” He missed before giving a last glance at First and walking away.

After the man left, First couldn't deny that he was intrigued. While he should have been by the intimidating gaze of the man, instead, it drew attention to him. In simple words, he liked the feeling of wanting to know more about the man.

In the whole of Bangkok, First's library was the only library which was open 24 hours which obviously led the library to become popular all around the area. As a result, First barely had any time outside the library. He had been handling the library for more than 4 years and he always felt like the time went by in the blink of an eye. He had graduated from university about 5 years ago but had taken some time to figure out what he wanted to do.

While in university and schools, First had had a few or night stands but that's all. He always prioritized his studies over anything else so he never got the time for dating and all. After university, he was too busy thinking about what he wanted to do next. And once he got it, he became too busy with the library stuff. In conclusion, he had never dated anyone. In fact, he hadn't even found out what could actually be his type.

Besides, no one had ever caught his eyes even though he was nearly 27. But for the first time, he was intrigued so much that it was enough for him to want to collect time to do something else.

For the next few days, the man became a regular customer there. He regularly came to the library and as always, the second he entered, everyone else left. He'd spend a few hours picking up the same book and reading a few chapters then would leave and disappear into the darkness. It had become a daily routine. He'd come to the library at around 6 pm and leave at around 8 to 8:30. Everyday he came and met First in the library, always busy with the library forms and money and stuff yet he never gave a single look to First besides the first time or even opened his mask the whole time he'd be there. It was to the point that First wondered if he was even feeling hot at all.

But the more the man came to the library, the more curious First grew. Why would a man with such a hot figure, even under clothes like that, cover himself? Why wouldn't he even talk to First at all? Was it because he found him unattractive or something?

It drove First crazy inside. Though First was usually an innocent person, that was the first time someone caught his eyes so badly that he was going crazy. He was an extrovert and the thought of a man as hot as that man coming to his library and not talking to him drove him wild. He had never been so desperate to talk to someone ever.

First was going so crazy that he didn't even think of the consequences when he, just after a week of the man coming there, decided to follow the man.

That day, First waited till it was the time for the man to leave the library. Just after the man got up and began walking towards the exit, First stood up, pretending like he needed to stretch or something. Still no attention from the man came whatsoever. The man walked straight towards the exit and went out.

After waiting a few seconds, First went out of the library as well, hoping that he didn't lose the man. Getting outside, luckily, the man was still seen. First silently began walking after the man, following wherever he was going.

After following for a while, First was led towards a dark path beside a room. The man went directly inside after looking around a bit. First walked towards the corner of the room, hiding behind a wall and peeking to make sure the man couldn't see him.

Inside, the room was pretty small with not much stuff except a table in the middle of the room. Some kind of light fell directly on the table in the center. First watched the man stand there for a while and then finally take off his jacket. He was wearing a black t-shirt underneath that had some kind of label attached to it which First couldn't see from afar.

Then First watched as the man took off his cap and then the mask, placing them on the corners of the table. Even after seeing the man's face just from afar, First was stunned. He was even hotter than First thought. First silently closed his eyes, forgetting where was for a brief second and imagining what seeing that man's sweating hot face and neck from nearby would be like.

Before First could open his eyes, he was startled by some loud thud sounds of gunshots. It was almost deafeningly loud. First could have had a panic attack right there if he didn't have to control himself. After processing the gunshots, it didn't take First long to realize that the gunshot sounds were coming just from across inside the path he was in. Just then did First realize what he was actually doing and where he was. He was basically digging his own grave.

By the time First realized that, it was too late. He looked around the same spot where the man was but suddenly, he was nowhere to be seen. First looked around the whole room but no signs. First finally looked behind and after seeing the man only inches apart from him, he stepped back, his breath hitching with fear but he couldn't deny the fact that the man actually standing so close to him just like he had imagined before was strangely satisfying and arousing.

The man pushed First against the wall beside him. First's heartbeat increased even more, his breath getting shallower and breaky with each action of the man, at that point, First didn't know if he was reacting like that because he was scared or aroused.

First's eyes roamed to the man's forehead, sweat dripping off of the place between his hairline and the eyebrows. His eyes chased the drop of sweaton the shorter man's forehead. His heart beat was incredibly increasing with each action to the point he felt like he was dying. First's gaze finally stopped at the badge on the man's t-shirt as the man put his hand right beside First's head. “Khaotung Thanawat Ratanakitpaisan”, it said.

Khaotung finally spoke up. “Why did you follow me, young man?” He asked as he brought his face just a bit closer to First's.

First looked to the side to avoid eye contact. With a trembling voice, he replied, “I-I’m sorry.”

Khaotung grabbed First wrists with one of his hands, bringing them over his head while holding them tightly. “You're sorry?” He asked as he raised one of his brow.

“Yes. Please let me go.” First cried out. Him barely being able to make any sound. With another jerk of Khaotung's hand towards First and the wall, another series of gunshot sounds was heard. First's breath got even shallower, he tried to wiggle around to escape out of the grip but Khaotung held him tight.

“So sensitive and innocent for this world, aren't you?” Khaotung asked out, a mischievous smile evident on the curl of his pinkish lips. First was indeed sensitive towards that. There weren't only sounds of gunshots but also the sounds of police cars and a lot of distracting and horrifying screams were heard.

First had always been living in a life which you call the bed of flowers. He never had to struggle to get anything at all. Never in his life had he heard a gunshot, a scream or even a police car so all of that at once made him lose his mind. What had he gotten himself into?

First squeezed his eyes together tightly in an attempt to avoid looking into Khaotung's alluring eyes and also, to calm his mind down. Suddenly, he felt a hand on his chin, pushing his face to look straight towards Khaotung. He slowly opened his eyes, his heartbeat still not going any slower but somehow calmer as he watched Khaotung slowly lean forward towards his ear. His head tried to back down as a reflex but there was no space for him to go back. “Shh… it's okay.” Khaotung murmured in a deep voice as if he had just woken up. First didn't know if it was meant to be so seductive but for a second, he felt like he couldn't breathe.

In a sudden moment, First's mind came back to reality as he went back murmuring, “Please let me go.”

“Let you go? But you've already seen my face. How do I know you won't go around telling people about me?” Khaotung backed away from First's face, removing the hand from First's chin and dragging it on to the other which was still grabbing both of First's wrists.

“Please… I won't tell anyone.” First answered, his voice above desperate. He felt like it was too much. The sound of gunshots, the figure of a hot man staying that close to him and the danger of where he had gotten was too much to handle. It was normal for him to feel overwhelmed.

“But it's risky, you know? How would I know, right?” Khaotung asked back, leaning a bit forward again, bumping his forehead against First's.

Before First could even get scared with the next set of gunshots that were heard, they both heard light footsteps of a few people and little murmurings coming from the door of the room. In an instant, Khaotung looked at the door and locked it with one hand while holding First with the other.

In another swift movement Khaotung held First's mouth and dragged him to a corner. “If you want to stay alive, stay here. Don't you dare move until I tell you to.” Khaotung explained to First. First gulped and nodded, his own hand covering his mouth as he tried to stand as still as a statue.

Khaotung walked towards the door and opened the lock slowly. Immediately barged in, four people. In the front stood three very bulky, unlike him, guys. At first, Khaotung was indeed a bit intimidated. “Why are you here?” He asked the guys.

The guys slowly stepped aside and from the middle walked in someone unexpected, a girl even shorter than him stood in front of Khaotung, her chest upright and confident. “You've been meddling in the businesses of wrong people, Mr. Khaotung. It's time you pay for it.” The girl murmured as the bulky guys beside her all took out guns and held it upright, pointing at Khaotung's head.

Khaotung smirked, not even lifting a hand. “And what did you think? I was going to let you get away with everything you guys did?” He asked, crossing his arms. The three guys' fingers landed on the handle of the gun but a hand from the girl stopped them from shooting it.

“It was none of your business.” The girl replied, walking closer to Khaotung.

“Doesn't change the fact that it was wrong.” Khaotung pressed, his right hand lifting to scratch his head.

First listened to the conversation between them silently. He had assumed that Khaotung was probably a part of some illegal business. But that conversation and the way of talking of Khaotung changed his thinking just a little bit. Or maybe Khaotung wasn't the bad guy here, or at least not completely.

As First thought to himself, he suddenly heard a gunshot. The smoke still coming out of the gun on the girl's hand. Turned out the girl shot a bullet at the wall of the room to attempt to scare Khaotung. However, Khaotung didn't even flinch.

Watching his bravery, the girl started growing jealous. The dislike she had for him turned into pure hatred. At that point, it had become a matter of pride for her, even though the one involved in that wasn't her but her father. She refused to let her father down.

The girl ordered both men to shoot with a signal of her hands, she didn't even think twice about what could happen. Both men shot the bullet at the same time but it was (not) a shame that Khaotung stepped back and both the bullets spread through the walls of the room.

Khaotung's smile turned more mischievous as he turned around. Due to the smoke coming from the guns, nothing could be seen at all.

That seemed like the perfect opportunity for First to escape. For a few seconds, First thought silently to himself. If Khaotung wasn't the bad guy, it wouldn't be as bad if he decided to escape with Khaotung, right? First was always too innocent, too naive and maybe his attraction towards Khaotung also played a big role in that.

In the end, First rushed his way towards Khaotung while still covering his mouth. He leaned forward to Khaotung ears and whispered, “Let's go.” After hesitating for a slight second, Khaotung gripped First's hand tightly and immediately ran out of the door.

To Be Continued.....
