For the very first time in her life (Y/n) was going with Thace to the space mall on a supply run along with Ulaz, Ilun and Vrek; she'd heard about the massive mall many times but actually going to it was practically a dream come true. (Y/n) remembered when the paladins told her about a store that sold items from Earth and she could barely wait to see it in person, she hadn't seen anything from her homeworld in years which made her feel kind of lonely in an odd way. What made the trip better was Thace being there with her even though they technically wouldn't be alone; either way, she couldn't wait for the day of the shopping trip. When the day finally came (Y/n) made sure to eat a big breakfast so that she could last until lunch when she and the operatives she was going with could eat at the mall's food court. (Y/n) still didn't exactly have too many outfit choices, so she wore the best looking clothes she had before going to the bathroom in Thace's habsuite to brush her hair and teeth.

Thace couldn't deny that he was a little excited about taking (Y/n) to the space mall, knowing she would love seeing what most of the stores sold. He had been to the large establishment many times throughout his life, even back when he was working undercover in the galra empire, but now that (Y/n) could go with him it would be more enjoyable. Thace was going to take her to a clothing boutique he knew of and sometimes shopped at because he knew she needed more of a wardrobe; he had plenty of clothes, so he wouldn't buy anything for himself. It wasn't long before (Y/n) was finally ready to go, giving Thace the chance to brush his teeth and use the bathroom before they went to go meet up with the others in the pod bay where all the ships were parked. As soon as they walked into the mall a few hours later (Y/n) was in awe; she'd never seen so many stores in one place and she didn't know where to look first, there was just so much to see.

"Look at it all, there's so many stores!" (Y/n) said with pure excitement while she stood next to Thace and looked in different directions, her eyes blown wide as she gazed through the windows of the nearest stores.

"Thace, you take (Y/n) shopping for the supplies she needs. Ilun and Vrek, you two go get the parts we need for ship nine-b; I'm going to get the food and the medical supplies I need in the infirmary. We'll meet up in the food court later." Ulaz spoke as he gave everyone their instructions, walking over to the down escalator before riding it down to the lower level of the mall.

Ilun and Vrek beamed at each other before they walked in a different direction, both of them deciding to get a little something extra for their personal life before going to get the things on their part of the list. Thace gestured for (Y/n) to follow him before he walked in the direction of the up escalator, making sure she was following close behind him so that she wouldn't accidentally get lost in the crowd. He couldn't help but smile and look down at the young woman as she continued to look at practically every store nearby, knowing she was still in awe of the huge mall. (Y/n) had really come out of her shell after being free; during that day in particular she couldn't contain her excitement no matter how hard she tried. She followed Thace once they made it to the second level, looking at each store they passed and occasionally looking down at everything else over the safety fence at the edge of the balcony.

"We're stopping here first." Thace said when he stopped walking and stood in front of the clothing store he sometimes shopped at, getting her attention so she wouldn't lose track of what was going on.

"Is this the store you buy your clothes at?" (Y/n) queried with curiosity once she stopped walking too, looking through the open door and at the window display.

"Yes, it is. There's different clothes from a few different galaxies, so there should be something about your size here." Thace explained while beaming down at her; he couldn't deny that he was excited about shopping with her for the first time.

(Y/n) reciprocated the smile and let him lead her in, looking at all of the different clothes while feeling a little shy all of a sudden. She thought some of the articles of clothing looked very strange, especially the ones with multiple arm holes in the tops, although she saw a few things that she kind of liked. Thace followed (Y/n) when he saw her walking over to a rack of shirts which seemed to be around her size; some of them looked as though they might be a little too big but he didn't think she would mind. He let her choose what she wanted within reason because she seemed so excited to choose her own clothes; besides, everything was on sale. (Y/n) looked through the rack of clothes that caught her interest, wanting to see if there was anything she liked or not; she eventually found a plain (F/c) shirt and took it off of its hanger.

"What do you think? Is it too big?" (Y/n) asked Thace when she turned to face him, holding the slightly too big shirt in front of her upper body.

"If you really like it then you should get it, it doesn't matter if it's a little too large." Thace answered while beaming down at her; he thought shirts that were slightly too big looked cute on the young woman and she genuinely seemed to like the shirt she found.

"Alright, I will. It's been so long since I've had clothes similar to the ones on Earth." (Y/n) responded happily, remembering the clothes she lost after her capture which made her feel a little sad.

Thace’s smile faltered a little after what (Y/n) said; he felt bad about her having to go without proper clothes of her for such a long time. He didn't mind holding the shirt for her and any other clothes she picked out, it was refreshing to see her as happy as she was during that moment. (Y/n) selected three extra shirts and one pair of pants from a different rack, liking all three tops and the pants she chose because she thought they would look good on her. When she spotted a shelf with different shoes on display she walked over to it in hopes of finding a pair of shoes that fit and were comfortable, looking at each kind until she found a pair of galran style shoes that fit her and were comfy. After finding a pair of brand new shoes (Y/n) remembered something important; she needed more new bras and panties, items of which she didn't see anywhere in the store.

"Is something wrong?" Thace asked (Y/n) when he saw her smile turn into a frown while a light blush dusted her cheeks.

"Is there a store around here that sells underclothing, specifically for women?" (Y/n) hesitantly whisper-asked, feeling very embarrassed about asking her friend about such a thing.

Thace felt a little awkward about what (Y/n) asked him, realizing that she didn't have any underclothing and desperately needed a few pairs. There were a few other clothing stores of different kinds but there was only one store that sold women's underwear from across the universe; every time he passed it in the past Thace would enjoy looking inside, but since (Y/n) was with him he finally had a reason to go in. He respected women, although that didn't mean he couldn't admire the sexy lingerie in the store and imagine shopping there with his future significant other, even though (Y/n) wasn't his intended at the moment. After letting (Y/n) finish picking new clothes out for herself he paid for everything and led her out of the store, grabbing a floating shopping cart and placing the two bags of clothing in it. (Y/n) felt embarrassed about going shopping for underwear with Thace, especially at a lingerie store, but she needed new bras and panties more than anything.

The trip to the Earth store was one of the most fun shopping trips (Y/n) ever had; she found a few boxes/bags of her ultimate favorite snack, a jacket with the name of her favorite band on it, a couple of old books from (F/b/s), a new tube of her favorite toothpaste, a few pairs of socks and a few packages of pads/tampons. (Y/n) was shocked to find her preferred period product so far out in space but she was able to stock up enough to last for a few months. She was thankful the store was out of free cows because there wasn't enough room in the main Marmoran headquarters to keep one even though it would have been nice to have fresh milk to either drink or use in other foods. (Y/n) followed Thace out of the store after he paid for everything, walking right next to him so that she didn't get too distracted while looking through the windows of each store they passed. Walking by each store was like a trip to another world, literally; she couldn't even count how many things piqued her interest.

While (Y/n) did her best not to get distracted Thace’s mind raced from the thoughts of taking her to the only lingerie store in the entire mall, knowing there would be something her size sold there. Thace felt a little distracted too but for a different reason; during that moment he wished they were a couple even though he was convinced (Y/n) only saw him as a good friend. He made sure she was following him down to the lower level of the mall again, walking slow enough and taking a few turns until his destination was in sight. With all the years of training he went through Thace was able to keep his composure around (Y/n) as well as his sex drive; he couldn't allow himself to get too excited from a simple shopping trip. (Y/n) was surprised at how nice the lingerie store was after Thace led her in, the pleasant scent of flowers accompanied by melodic alien music filling the air.

"What’s this place called?" (Y/n) quietly asked her friend while walking right next to him, blushing lightly when she saw some rather revealing lingerie displayed on mannequins.

"It's called Jathraz', they sell women's undergarments from across the universe. We should be able to find something your size in here." Thace answered her in an equally quiet tone; he was thankful that the employees were busy, otherwise things might have been more awkward between him and (Y/n).

(Y/n) followed Thace when he led her towards the back of the store, walking as quietly as she could so that she didn't attract any unwanted attention. In a way it was like she was shopping for sexy underwear with her boyfriend, but unfortunately Thace wasn't her significant other and they were just there to get the underclothing she needed. There were so many styles of lingerie in all kinds of colors, some of them simple yet elegant while others were downright kinky. The revealing articles of clothing that were on the rack Thace led (Y/n) to looked as though they would fit her comfortably, some of the sets were simpler than others. Thace was decent enough to turn the opposite direction so (Y/n) could look through the various sets in peace; he knew she was flustered and a little bit embarrassed to be in an actual lingerie store.

The galran man's ears twitched each time he heard the sound of (Y/n) taking a hanger off of the rack, secretly wondering which sets she chose. He personally thought she would look sexy in (F/c) or (S/f/c) bras and panties, although that was just his personal opinion. (Y/n) was grateful that Thace had his back turned towards her while she looked at the many different options of underclothing; she really liked and respected him but choosing bras and panties with him around made her feel embarrassed, especially since people who went into lingerie stores together were usually couples. She found a few bra and pantie sets that she liked, a few of which would be good for when she was on her period while others she would wear during the rest of the month. While she was busy looking through everything Thace was caught up in his own thoughts and doing his best to keep his composure.

"Hey, I'm going to try some of these bras on. Can you stand near the dressing room in case there are any pervs around here?" (Y/n) asked her male companion once she had enough underclothing chosen, looking up at him while blushing.

"Yes, of course." Thace answered with a startled jolt; he had been so busy thinking about things that he wasn't aware (Y/n) was ready to try a few of the sets on.

(Y/n) smiled up at Thace before she led him to the dressing rooms, walking into one of the tiny rooms and closing the door behind her. She was thankful he was there to protect her if there were any perverts lurking around and, considering they were in a lingerie store, there was a high chance there was. While she was in the tiny room (Y/n) tried each set on, happy that each one fit before she put them all back on their respective hangers. Having the chance to be in a store and try clothes on felt foreign to the young woman, but nice at the same time; she honestly hoped that she could go on more shopping trips with Thace in the future. Once all of her regular clothes were back on (Y/n) exited the dressing while carrying all of the bra and pantie sets she chose, following Thace to the front counter where he could pay for everything.

On the way back to Thace’s habsuite Thace and (Y/n) walked together in a comfortable silence; after a long day of shopping together they were both tired. After all of the actual shopping everyone met up at the mall's food court and ate lunch together, each of them equally hungry; (Y/n) got the chance to try something from Vrepit Sal's and she really liked the food she ordered. Thace enjoyed seeing (Y/n) have the time of her life earlier that day, especially when he took her to the Earth store. They were going to put her new clothes and other supplies away in his habsuite before going to the cafeteria so they could eat dinner with everyone else; Ulaz found a good deal on Roynu lamb chops and bought enough for everyone in the base to have one. Thace placed everything he had been carrying onto his bed once he and (Y/n) made it to their destination, letting out a sigh since he had previously been carrying most of everything so the young woman wouldn't have to carry too much.

"Thanks for carrying all of that for me, you're really strong." (Y/n) gratefully thanked the tall furry male while standing next to him and smiling; she appreciated his help for carrying her new stuff to their little home since there was too much for her to carry alone.

"It was no problem at all." Thace responded with a flattered tone, happy that he was able to display his strength in such a mundane way.

(Y/n) beamed up at him for a moment, then she opened one of the bags she was holding and took each of the shirts out of it. She definitely had more than enough clothes thanks to the shopping trip earlier, along with various other things she needed in order for her to live comfortably. Thace looked through the bags until he found all of the (F/s) prior to taking it to the kitchen and putting it in one of the lower cupboards where (Y/n) could easily reach it. (Y/n) put her new clothes away in the closet before she went to put her new toothpaste and pads/tampons in the cupboard under the sink where she could get them when her period returned. They put most of everything away in their proper places before leaving to go to dinner together; (Y/n) couldn't wait to taste the Roynu lamb chops since it was a wonderful new food she could try.

"As much as I loved shopping today, I know that my legs are going to be sore after all the walking we did. I really liked shopping with you." (Y/n) said while she and Thace were on their way to the cafeteria, both of them casually strolling down the long hallways.

"I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself so much. I know it's hard living in a base all the time without going out much. I'll try to make a point to take you on more outings when it's safe enough." Thace replied with a soft tone, he felt bad for not being able to take her out often but he wanted to in the near future.

"Out? Like outside? As in, out where the sun shines and there's plants and stuff?" (Y/n) queried with a mixture of curiosity and excitement; she hadn't seen the outdoors in years and she really hoped to go outside somewhere again.

"Yes, outside where you can feel the sunshine on your skin and the breeze blowing through your hair. We can go to a village I know of." Thace confirmed truthfully, making a promise to take her out to a place he visited once or twice.

(Y/n) couldn't believe it, she was actually going to have the chance to see the outdoors after so many years of living in space, whether it be at galra central command or with the Blades. The place Thace said he'd take her would be different from Earth and she knew it, but she would still like it since it was outside where the fresh air blew. When they eventually arrived at the cafeteria (Y/n) went with Thace to get their food, feeling a little anxious about waiting in line despite knowing most of everyone around her. The fluffy male was proud of (Y/n) for waiting in line with him; she'd come so far since he rescued her from central command and she was really coming out of her shell as the months went by. After they got their food Thace and (Y/n) sat next to each other at a mostly empty table where they could eat dinner, both of them satisfied yet exhausted after the day they spent together.
