Skylar's POV

Where am I?

I sit up and feel my neck. There was a necklace with a turquoise Rock on the end of it.

Where did that come from?

I shake my head.

Oh well...

I was sitting in the middle of the clearing that I was in before I was attacked.

I sprang to my feet, searching for my attacker.

"Come out and face me! Or are you scared?" I ask to the lurking bushes.

Then, with a screeching of tires, a truck burst through the bushes.

I rush over to it and start jumping.

"Thanks goodness you found me! Someone attacked me and I was almost killed! Please take me back to the high-school!" I beg.

The truck started to chuckle. (An evil chuckle mind you.)

Then it started to move.

No, not like driving moving, it started to turn into a robot thing!

"Ack!" I scream

I tried to run but couldn't.

I looked behind me.

The robot thing had grabbed my leg.

"Lemme go!" I cry.

"Don't worry Earthling. I won't hurt you" Says the robot thing icily calm. "I am Steeljaw. What is your name?"

"Skylar..." I manage to stutter out.

"Well Skylar. Tell me more about this attacker of yours..."

My mind was reeling.

Should I trust this thing?

"Well.... I'm not entirely sure. He knocked me out before I could do or see anything." I reply.

Steeljaw taps his chin.

"Skylar. You must come with me. I know a safe place where we can hide."

I nod.

"Okay. Deal. But I can leave at anytime without any trouble. Deal?" I ask.

"Deal." Replies Steeljaw, sealing the deal.

He turns back into a truck and I climb in.

He starts his engine.

"Wait!" I cry "My backpack!"

I unbuckle and race over to where my backpack was lying.

I climb back in and we sped off.
