Skyflare's POV
*Its been a week since Skyflare's transformation*

I'm out on patrol.

Again! Why does Bumblebee think I need to be on patrol constantly? I haven't even selected a vehicle mode yet!

I sigh and start to walk faster.

As I skirt the edge of a creek, my com starts to crackle.

"Skyflare. The lieutenant says you're needed back at the Scrapyard immediately." Strongarm says through my crackling com.

"Sure.  I'll be right there.  Anything to get off patrol for a while." I reply.

"Okay see you in a while.  Strongarm out."

The com line goes dead and I set off in the direction of the Scrapyard.

"Ah! Skyflare your back!" Said a voice from behind a row of shelves.

The voice belonged to Fixit.

"Why did Bee want me back?" I ask.

Fixit smiled.

"It's time to choose your vehicle mode."

"Already?" I gasp.

"Yep. Bumblebee said that you were ready."

I smile.

I guess that explains what all the extra patrols were about...

Fixit leads me over to a row of vehicles that were in the Scrapyard.

Bumblebee was arguing with Sideswipe.

I walk over and nudge Sideswipe out of the way.

"Ouch!" Yelled Sideswipe as he turned to me.

"I'm here to pick my vehicle mode." I say, leaving Sideswipe behind my back.

My brother sighs.

"Well. I can't really say you have many options." He said, gesturing to the row of cars before me.

"Of course you do Skyflare! There are so many more epic vehicles on this rock than just this pile of rust buckets!" I hear a voice say behind me.

I reel around on my heel.

"Seriously? What is it to you if I actually like one of these 'rust buckets'?" I yell, furious

Bumblebee took a few steps back.

My gaze shifted to Sideswipe once again. He shuffled nervously.

"I was just gonna give you some more ideas. That's all..." He muttered

I give him a glare.

"Fine then. If you think you're so smart, then explain your thoughts..." I say, gaining a bit more interest

He smiles and nods.

"I knew you would break through. Anyway, In Crown City there's this super-"

I cut him off.

"Follow me. I think we should talk about this without a million pairs of optics glaring at us." I say, pointing to Bumblebee, who was watching us with a concerned glare.

I lead Sideswipe through the Scrapyard's front gate and into the forest.

"How do you know that humans won't see us out here?" He asks

I shrug

"I don't. We'll just have to keep our instincts sharp." I reply

Sideswipe sighs.

"Bee is gonna be mad if we blow our cover..." He says in a warning tone

I laugh

"Since when do you follow rules?" I ask

"What? That's what you got from that?" He yowls

I nod

He transforms and speeds off ahead of me.

"Hey! Wait for me! No vehicle mode yet! REMEMBER?" I yell

He stops with a squealing of tires.

"Oh yeah. Sorry bout that. Hop on."

I wanted to yell at him but I took the opportunity and hopped on.

While we were speeding through the trees, I remember something.

"Sideswipe. You said that there was something cool in Crown City?" I yell over the rushing wind.

"Yeah! That's where I'm taking you!"

No duh! I really hope I find my vehicle mode soon. I do not want to be stuck riding on top of my teammates for the next 100 cycles!

*In Crown City*

Sideswipe stops and I hop off, hooting with laughter.

"That was SO much fun!" I yowl in between hoots of laughter

He transforms and starts laughing with me.

"I- haven't- had that much- fun in AGES!" I pant, sitting down to catch my breath.

Sideswipe sighs and shakes his head

"Now! Remind me. What did we come into Crown City for again?" He asks in a mocking tone.

I elbow him

"You said that you would help pick my vehicle mode! Now show me what you wanted to show me!" I order as I stand up.

He points to an Earth car dealership.

"There. Now hurry up and pick your stupid vehicle mode."

I glare at him

"I can't go in there! I'll be seen!" I hiss

Sideswipe shrugs

"It's closed! Look there's no one there!" He hisses back.

Wow! I was a human and I can't even tell if the stupid place is closed!

I stand up and walk towards the Car Dealership's parking lot. Scanning the lot for a suitable vehicle mode, my gaze rests upon a blue and white motor cycle.

I whistle.

"I'll take her! She's a beauty!"

Sideswipe walks up behind me.

"Well then what are you waiting for? Scan it already!" He yells

I start my scan.
**
I look down at myself.

I. Look. Awesome!

I transform into my new vehicle mode and rev my engine.

Let's put this thing to the test!

I speed off, leaving Sideswipe in my dust.

"Eat that!" I yell

I hear him transform and a few seconds later he was pulled up beside me.

"Your fast!" He says, panting.

I chuckle.

"Yeah! Way faster than you!" I shoot back.

I transform back into my bot mode with a screeching of tires.

"So? What do you wanna do now?" I ask Sideswipe as I sit down.

He transforms and sits beside me.

"Have you ever been to a street race?" He asks

I shake my head angrily.

"No! I have never been to a street race and I never will! Anyway, It's getting late and I don't want Bee to give us trouble! And plus, there could be Cons out here! And I'm not even battle trained yet!" I scream.

Sideswipe inches back a few paces.

"Okay. Okay. I was just wondering..." He says while holding his hands up and a motion of surrender. "Although, I think you'd love it. The adrenaline rush, the sounds-"

I cut him off.

"I get it! You want to take me to a street race!" I say, exasperated

He nods, still holding his hands in a surrendering motion.

It would be fun... I guess it wouldn't hurt...

I make up my mind.

"Okay. Let's go."

He jumps in surprise.

"Really?" He asks

"Yes!" I say, getting more excited by the second. "I'm not joking!"

"I thought you said that you'd never go to a street race." He mimics

I elbow him.

"I was being dumb. Now, Let's go already!"

We transform, leaving the Car Dealership in our wake.
