I dare Ratchet and Taylor to watch a romance movie together!

Author: *waves happily* Yep, I'm doing more than one update at a time! XD

Taylor: *sitting by Ratchet's helm* Well that was quick!

Bulk: SO what's the dare?

Smokes: *is so ready for this*

Author: *grins apologetically* Sorry guys, this one is a Raylor dare.

Smokes: *deflates* Aww..

Bee: *pats his back* <Don't worry! If she's planning on making us do more dares today, I'm sure something will come up!>

Arcee: So what do they have to do?

Ratchet: *sighs* Please tell me it's not something ridiculous.

Taylor: *frowns* But you usually don't really mind us getting dared or asked these sort of things anymore.

Bulk: wAIT, REALLY-

Ratchet: I know, but you are carrying now. I don't want you to do anything strenuous. 

Taylor: *smiles a little* Oh. Well, in that case, I get where you're coming from.

Author: *thumbs up* No worries, this is a pretty chill dare! All you gotta do is watch a romance movie together!

Ratchet: A WHAT-

Taylor: *eyes sparkling* Really??!

Smokes: Oh, are we allowed to watch it too?

WJ: I'd really rather not. Besides, this is just for the two of em.

Omega: Not into romance movies, Wheeljack?

WJ: *shakes his helm* Eh, not really. I prefer some action and movies with good explosions.

Omega: *beams* Yeah, that sounds like you.

Miko: Yeah, you guys do that. *grabs Jack* The rest of us will go do something fun!! *races off*

Bulk: *hurries after her* Miko...

Others: *shrug and follow after her*

Raylor: *by themselves with Author*

Author: *grins mischievously at them* So, you two have a movie in mind.

Ratchet: *a little flustered* Not really, no.

Taylor: *raises hand excitedly* I do, I do!!

Author: *tries not to melt* Oh, yeah? What is it?

Taylor: *practically shining* I saw it a few weeks ago by myself, and I want Ratchet to see it too! It's called Pride and the Prejudice ! It's a really cute movie!

Author: *gasps* I love that movie!!

Ratchet: *sighs* As long as you like it.

Taylor: *hugs his helm* I think you'll like it too!

Ratchet: *holds back another sigh*

Author: *thinks about all the Raylor scenarios made in the Raylor Bloopers and Headcanons book* You might be surprised, Ratch. *grins mysteriously* 

Ratchet: *sets Taylor down on the couch and activates his holoform*

Author: *pops movie into thin air and catches it* Well, I'll put it in, but then I'll leave you guys to it! *secretly is going to be watching them*

Ratchet: *figures that will probably happen but decides not to say anything* 

Taylor: *doesn't think anything of it* Okay! Thanks! *snuggles up against Ratchet*

*movie starts playing*

Author: *poofs away and hides behind a corner*

Raylor: *fairly silent for the first part of the movie*

Taylor: *after a little while* You don't seem very confused about the culture in this movie. I mean, it's set in a more historic timeline. *looks up at him*

Ratchet: *has his arm around her* No, I can't say I'm too surprised, considering I've seen something similar to it.

Taylor: *pauses movie quickly* Wait, seriously?!

Ratchet: *nods calmly* It was not a extremely common practice, but it was not unexpected, especially among the higher or middle classes on Cybertron. Mechs and femmes often searched for the right suitor that would benefit their image or their wealth rather than their emotional needs. 

Taylor: *gets a little sad* Wow.. were any of the bondings really real? Back when it was common on earth, a lot of people cheated on their husbands and wives because they didn't really love them.

Ratchet: *blinks at her* Of course not! Once two are bonded, they are bonded for life. To break such a bond if so physically and emotionally painful that it was highly undesirable. Sometimes it could lead to spark failure, and even offlining. *shakes his head* Although, I won't lie and tell you that I had not seen any of those cases.

Taylor: *snuggles against his chest* Wow.. that's pretty awful. Though, mating for life is really neat. I wish our kind was more like that. *glances up at him again* So.. because we both have sparks, we're bonded for life then?

Ratchet: *smiles softly at her* We are. I would never dream of breaking our bond. *kisses the top of her head lightly*

Taylor: *flushes a little and smiles* Good. *resumes the movie*

Author: *secretly watches as Ratchet silently starts cheering the movie couple on throughout the movie*

*near the ending*

Ratchet: *slightly surprised that they are asking the father's permission* Is this common even today?

Taylor: *looks up at him* Oh, yes. Most marriages are blessed by the parents and/or family. Those that aren't are sometimes looked down upon.

Ratchet: *pales*

Taylor: *notices his worry and pauses the movie again* Hey, don't worry about it. My mother is.. gone, and I won't ever speak to my father. We don't need his permission to do anything. He's a monster. *shudders slightly*

Ratchet: *relaxes a little* True.

Taylor: *smiles* I got all the permission I need from my real family. They are all supportive of us.

Ratchet: *grins softly and pulls her closer* Also true.

Taylor: *resumes the movie*

*at the end*

Ratchet: *gets slightly flustered as Darcy kisses his new wife all over her head and looks down at Taylor awkwardly*

Taylor: *bluntly* You don't have to do that.

*movie ends*

Taylor: *sits up excitedly and looks at Ratchet* So, what did you think?

Ratchet: *smiles* Well, it was not as bad as I thought.

Taylor: *squeals happily* I know, right?! What was your favorite part?

Ratchet: *pretends to think for a moment* Well, what I really enjoyed the most was spending time with you like this.

Taylor: *wasn't expecting that and immediately blushes*

Ratchet: *clears throat awkwardly* We should do this more often.

Taylor: *giggles a little* Y-Yeah..

Author: *jumps out from hiding place* I told you so!! *points at them* I told you that you'd like it!!

Taylor: *jumps* WAGH!!

Ratchet: *forget that Author was watching* Hey!

Author: I SHIP YOU GUYS SO MUUUUUUCH- *runs off to tell the others everything*
