Hochzeit (xMedic)

+Author's note

Oh tell me have you seen the marvelous breadfish~?

"Sie sind jetzt Ehemann und Frau!"

The clerk closed the holy book, and the crowd gave a thundering round of cheers.

You were now officially married to your love, Jospeh Heilburger.

Jospeh beamed proudly, leaning in for a kiss, his doves fluttering about in the cathedreal. Giggling, you looked up at him.

"So, what happens now?

Joseph chuckled and kissed your forehead.

"Now iz zhe time zhe fun starts!"

Your second wedding was just as beautiful as your first one, (which was hosted in your home country). You and Joseph had agreed to have weddings in both countries.

"Zhe more zhe merrier no?"

Despite using the wrong phrase, you smiled at your desicions together. You actually got to experience a real German wedding!

Jospeh soon led you outside, where there was a garden blooming with white roses; overflowing with food and drink. The sweet scent of honey and beer wafting across your nose, drawing contented smiles from the guests.

Your eyes widened with surprise Joseph led you to a giant log, with a saw on top of it.

Many of the guests were grinning and laughing at your suprised face.

A man soon came in and led you to the left side of the log.

"It's German tradition to saw log togezher! It's called Baumstamm sägen! Come! Let's test jour strength!"

Giggling, you straightened your white wedding gown and Joseph took his white gloves off, tucking them in his coat pocket.

"Ready? Start!!"

With that, you and Joseph started sawing the log from each side. And in all honesty, it definately was much harder than you had expected.

The crowds laughed when the saw got stuck midway, and hollared at Jospeh.

"Come on! Show jour wife how strong jou are!!"

Jospeh laughed and with a huff, he gathered his arms and managed to saw the rest with you. The crowd cheered once again, and Jospeh looked up at you, his hair messed up, but with laughter in his eyes.

After dinner, many of the ladies started giggling at you, or, to be more accurate, your wedding veil.

You didn't really understand what there was to laugh about, and started to check the veil, fiddling with it. Was there something on it?

Seeing this brought great laughter among the women, and knowing smiles from the men.

You cocked an eyebrow at Joseph, and he merely chuckled, shaking his head.

Faking annoyance, you gave a frown at your husband, earning a round of laughter from your guests once more.

Your curiousity soon came to an end when a violin started a melody, with a band joining in for a waltz.

With a graceful bow, Joseph soon swept you away, into the middle of the party, guiding your steps as you circled the room with him.

Suddenly, someone pulled your wedding veil from your head, and Joseph guided his steps slower. You looked up, and saw two people holding the wedding veil above you, as you and your husband danced under it.

"Is this a German thing..?"

Joseph chuckled.

"Ja, it's called Schleiertanz. Let's get out of zhe way"

You looked sideways and saw a horde of young women, gazing at your veil hungrily.

"Uh.."

Suddenly they all ran forward and screamed, tearing your wedding veil to shreds. The crowd cheered them on when a blonde hair woman got the biggest piece.

She stood triumphly and laughed, holding the town wedding veil.

"Als nächstes bin ich dran!!"

Joseph whispered in your ear.

"She's getting married next!"

You smiled as you and the crowd clapped and cheered for the girl who was going to get 'married' next.

Soon the sun went down and most of the guests were strangely starting to get riled. A group of girls cooed and whispered besides you, and you couldn't help but wonder how many German wedding games there were.

While Joseph was talking to his friends, the group of girls frantically whispered, and started pulling on your arm.

Startled, you pulled away from them, when suddenly the leader of the group pulled you back, and giggled in broken English.

"Hurry! Must go before husband see!"

You would have asked a question, but it was too late. The women whisked you away, and the crowd pretended that they didn't even see you!

"Kiddnapping?"

The group laughed, and you looked at them in awe.

"Ja! Great fun! Watch!!"

They held out a cellphone, linked to one of Joseph's friend's cellphone.

You peered in, and saw that Jospeh looked around, trying to find you but in vain. He went around asking for you, but the guests just shook their heads and ignored him.

A sudden expression of realization took over your husband's face, and he turned around and saw his friends laughing at him.

"Well? Go find zhe bride!"

With that, Joseph took off to the nearest bar.

You and the group of girls laughed together, and saw Jospeh run towards a bar across the street and with his friends running after.

The leader of your little group spoke up.

"We go from bar to bar, make him find jou!"

You giggled as you saw the screen, watching Joseph run for you.

"Will he find us here?"

"Not think so, is little far from that bar, but cannot stay long~ let's order drink!"

The girls got up and talked to the bartender. With a knowing look, (and a wink towards you) he filled up five pints of German beer. He even peered over to look at the screen the five of you were watching.

Drinking the beer, you watched Joseph hop from bar to bar (some that you've even previously been to not 10 minutes ago) giggling at his frantic pace.

The girls giggled, but soon stopped when they watched Joseph cross the street.

"My gosh! He nearly here!!"

Your heart started pounding and you giggled nervously. You can't get caught now!

The women started squealing and panicking, when the bartender laughed and frantically called you all over.

"In here! Hide in here!"

He gestured towards the counter, and the five of you bolted towards there, other guests snickering at the little wedding game.

You all crouched down under the counter, the bartender put up a facąde when suddenly a bell ringed.

A ragged breath entered the bar, along with a group of other men out of breath.

You held your hand to your mouth, trying not to make a sound. For you knew who that ragged breath belonged to.

You giggled nervously, excited, amused and scared that Joseph might find you.

Joseph spoke out of breath, speaking to the bartender.

"Haben Sie eine Braut hier gesehen?"
(Have you seen a bride here?)

The group of girls bit their hands and clamped their hands to their mouths from giggling.

The bartender gave a bored shrug.

"Nein, vielleicht ist sie woanders"
(No, maybe she's somewhere else)

Joseph was about to leave when he saw five empty pints on the table nearby.

Grinning, he jumped over the counter and landed right in front of you.

You let out a scream and laughed, when Joseph held your wrists.

"I found jou!"

It was night now, and the guests were finally headed home. Joseph's friends offered to clean up for you, letting you and Joseph to head home free.

Getting into Joseph's car, you gave out a contented sigh, giddy and happy from the day's events.

Joseph sighed with you, and chuckled.

"Well! Zhat was certainly fun, ja liebling?"

You laughed.

"Certainly one of the most exciting weddings I've ever seen. Are we heading home now?"

Joseph smiled at you, clearing some hair from your face.

"Ja, let's get some rest"

Joseph was about to start the car when he turned and leaned into your face, a smile on his lips.

"Ich liebe dich Mrs. Heilburger"

You smiled and leaned in too, closing the distance.

"Ich liebe dich Mr. Heiburger"
