Virgil was in his room sifting through Thomas's worries which is something he did every time he woke up. He knew the balance and always had known the balance but hadn't understood how much it would mean to Logan and Thomas. So he kept them equal unless he came across a really stressful or worrying thought which he would take completely away. He felt wanted now and although he still felt guilty for not protecting Thomas, as well as he could, he was reassured that Thomas actually cared.
