I jumped off my chair and ran out of my room.

"Happy birthday!" I heard Alex yell as I ran past his room "Thank you" I shouted back I ran down the stairs and opened the door

"NASH!" I smiled and gave him a hug

I notice something move in the corner of my eye catching my attention my eyes widen and my jaw drops to the ground as I pull away from Nash

"YOU GUYS!" I shouted

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" All the boys shouted I hugged the Jacks first then Carter, Shawn, Aaron, Hayes, Matthew, Taylor and last but not least Cameron. "I can't believe you guys are here oh my god!" I said in disbelief "Do you like you present?" Cameron asked "Like? I love it!" I said and hugged him again

There was a car pulling up which caught our attention I see notice its Liam so I run to the car and open the passenger door

"Happy birthday beautiful" he smiled I smile then look down to notice walking flowers, a small box and a bear on the seat causing me to gasp

"Are these for me!" I said excitedly he nodded I quickly took my phone out and went to snapchat I notice Liam blushing causing him to cover his face I giggle then take the picture

He got the bear and flowers then walked out the car I closed the door and walked over to him giving him a bear hug

"I got you this too" he said opening the box

I see there was a Michael Kors watch inside I look at it in awe

"Happy birthday babe" he said "Thank you Liam but you didn't have to get me this" I said he handed me the flowers and bear and gave me a kiss on the cheek "I wanted to" he replied

Before I could protest someone interrupted us "YOU BELONG WITH HAYES!" One of the boys shouted I turn around shooting them a glare their eyes widen and put their hands up in defense I look over at Hayes who was on his phone I rolled my eyes and turned back to Liam

"Ready for our date later?" He asked "Uhmm, what do I wear?" I ask unsure "Causal" he answered I nodded and reached out for his hand and led everyone inside

"I'm gonna go change brb" I said and ran up the stairs with Liam "Why you taking Liam?" I heard Hayes ask "I'm gonna go use the bathroom" he shot back I laughed and rolled my eyes

I'm kind of jealous that Liam is taking her on a date today but I can't do anything about it I'm dating Renee

"Why you taking Liam?" I shouted without even realizing "I'm gonna use the bathroom" Liam shot back I rolled my eyes and continued to text Renee

I roll my eyes and turn off my phone throwing it on the couch

"You ok bro?" Nash asked "I just broke up with Renee" I said and sat down "Haha! Finally!" I heard someone say behind me I turn around to see Layla wearing a black and white shirt that's open in the front, ripped jean shorts and old style high top black and white vans

"You just want me to yourself" I smirk she laughed again "No, I have Liam" she smirked I rolled my eyes and turned my attention back to my phone

"Are you guys gonna stay here and wait for me to come home or..." Layla trailed off

"We'll wait" I immediately answered grinning "O-kay" she said

Her and Liam walked out the door and everyone looked at me "What?" I asked "Bro," Matthew said "What!?" I chuckled

"This boy got me fucked up" I heard someone say in a low voice to them self "What did I do!?" I chuckled again "You're gonna let Liam and Layla go on a date?" Nash asked "I don't care Layla's just a friend nothing more" I said not being completely honest

"I would run after her but I can't date her it's illegal and I'm not afraid to admit that I have feelings for Layla too" Cameron said I looked at him with a mad face "To bad you can't have her" I said and walked away

I went upstairs and entered a random room I started looking around curious to who's room this is. I sat on a chair next to a desk and just kept looking around until I spotted a picture on the mirror.

It was Layla and the guy from my math class
I think his name is Noah but I'm not to sure.

"What are you doing in here?" I heard a familiar voice ask I turn around to see Layla

"Oh sorry they were just getting annoying so I came up here, what are you doing here?" I asked "I forgot my phone" she answered while grabbing it off her bed

"Who's this?" I blurted out

Fuck I said in my head she looked at me confused so I showed her the picture

She took it from me and sat down as if she was remembering that day she took a deep breath then spoke

"This was last year, he was my first real boyfriend, and on this same day I found out he cheated on me with my best friend," she said not looking away from the photo

"Worst part is, this day was on my birthday, today one year ago but of course Liam was there to comfort me" she looked up at me with sad eyes then looked back to the picture one last time before ripping it to pieces and threw it away.

"What was your friend's name?" I asked

She looked up at me and stared into my eyes hesitant if she should tell me

"Renee" she said in a low voice my eyes widened "That's why you hate her so much?" I asked she nodded "Wow, she's a bitch" I said

"Yeah, that's why I didn't want you hanging out with her, after I found out she was the girl Noah cheated on me I also found out she just wanted to be my friend for popularity, she has a habit of using people" she explained

Tell me about it I thought

Wow I feel bad for even laying eyes on Renee now

"I'm so sorry Layla, I wish I knew if I did I would of ne-" Layla cut me off

"It's fine Hayes, I'm fine" she didn't look fine though

She ran her hand through her long blonde hair and looked at me after a moment of silence

Then I decided to change the subject

"What about the hair?" I chuckled

"Oh, brunette is actually my natural hair, after that month I wanted a change so I dyed my hair blonde" she explained I nodded my head and walked towards her "But I think I'm gonna change it back to brunette, I miss my natural hair" she laughed

"Can I be honest with you?" I asked she nodded "I like you, a lot, and I don't want you to go on that date, cause I know once you come back you won't be available anymore" I said cupping her cheeks getting closer and closer to her face

"Hayes," she whispered "We're already dating" she said and pulled away from me

"S-Since when?" I asked surprised "About last week" I looked at her in surprise

Liam and I aren't actually dating I just said that because I'm scared to ruin mine and Hayes's friendship I think we're better off as friends

Right?

Lately I've been feeling this tingly feeling in my stomach when the mention of Hayes lingers in my ears I just smile when I hear his name in a conversation. When I'm around him i try my hardest to make it look like I don't like him and I like Liam it seems to fool them but not myself.

"I'm sorry Hayes, I have to go" I said remembering Liam was in the car waiting for me I walked out my room and said bye to everyone again

Once I got in the car I sighed and put my belt on

"What took you so long?" Liam chuckled

"Oh Hayes was talking to me" I smiled weakly I heard him say a slight "oh" and backed out of the drive way as he rested his hand on my thigh out of habit

I look down at his hand causing a little smile to appear on my face
