My plane back to Sacramento
leaves in two hours.
Natalia locked her phone, sliding it into her back pocket. Her flight out of New Orleans was in two hours, and she sat in the waiting area, bouncing her leg anxiously. Parker sat next to her, frowning at his younger sister. The text was Natalia's last ditch effort to reach out to Davina. She planned on texting everyone else once she touched down in Sacramento, safe and sound. So there Natalia sat, for two hours, while she waited for her flight.
"Flight 232 to Sacramento is now boarding." The Monroe siblings stood in unison, making their way to the gate for their flight. Natalia looked back towards the direction of the main airport doors and sighed, seeing no trace of Davina.
"Ticket please." Natalia handed her plane ticket over to the woman, and she looked it over before handing it back to her with a smile. "Have a nice flight." Natalia nodded in thanks, waiting for her brother before walking through the gate. As they boarded the plane, Natalia took her spot in the window seat, staring out of the window miserably. As she buckled in and the plane lurched forward, her heart sank even lower in her chest.

Davina sprinted through crowds, not bothering to excuse herself as she looked for the familiar head of pink and blonde hair. Skidding to a stop at reception, Davina looked at the woman pleading.
"What's the status of the 11:00 flight to Sacramento?" She asked hurriedly. The woman quickly checked her computer, before looking back at Davina.
"I'm afraid you've just missed it." Davina stumbled back, into the arms of Kol. Tears stung her eyes as she watched the plane take off through the large window behind the reception desk.
She was too late.
