Yeah, we all know Ooorah was, once upon a time, famous for its smack downs. Now, what better birthday present than to launch another one of these infamous writing contests?

So, without further ado, we joined forces with ScienceFiction and bring the Ultimate SciFi SmackDown back to Wattpad.

And for those of you who don't know what a smack down is and never joined one, a short explanation:

🔨 This is a flash fiction contest. 

🔨 Everyone is invited to join as long as they submit a qualifying entry before the deadline

🔨 The SmackDown runs over several rounds

🔨 Writing is prompt based — in each round, the participants will get one or several prompts that must be integrated into their short story

🔨 Each round, the stories will be judged by an anonymous judging team and one or several writers will be eliminated 

🔨 The last remaining writer will earn the all important bragging rights and the illustrious title of SmackDown Champion.

Interested? Why not give it a try? You have one month to send us your qualifying story. Those won't be judged but are your free ticket into a world of fun, exciting and ruthless flash fiction writing. 

Your qualifying entry must be between 300 and 500 words long, qualify as science fiction, be written in English, and be inspired by the following picture:

Publish your story on your Wattpad profile and share the link either in the comments to this chapter or in the equivalent chapter in the contest book on the profile ScienceFiction. Submission closes Sunday, 7th of November.

All participants will be contacted by personal message on Wattpad with a link to the smack down headquarters.
