Well, it seems I've been drafted to write another review for Tevun-Krus, which means I had the recent pleasure of reading The Cadet once again, written by ForbiddenPlanet's own @parishsp.

The Cadet is an action-packed spunky-heroine short, picking up the story of Brix Daxen as she graduates from the Combat Academy and heads straight for her first mission.

Brix is about as spunky as a spunky-heroine gets, and by that I mean she's completely badass, being subject to more demerits at the Academy than any other cadet. She doesn't let anything faze her and whilst reading you get the sneaking suspicion she's not too bad to look at. She's pretty confident about her abilities, too, and rightly so!

The story itself is an intriguing one, and @parishsp is not at all shy about throwing her beloved creation into the deep end and finding out whether or not she can swim. I'll leave it to you to find out for yourself if she flounders or otherwise.
