I knew today was going to be a headache. The Voice wasn't very helpful like it normally is. So when I walked into the classroom I was not my normal cheerful self. I was terrified of my placement. I didn't want to be placed with a girl that hits me and the last Uchiha. It wasn't my type of fun.
I sat in the very back hoping that I would be ignored until my name was called. I am however early for once so it was going to be an extremely long five minutes.
In the last couple of minutes the class got rowdier and... 'rambunctious Kit.' Mainly in the front with all the girls. I sorta feel sorry for Sasuke. From this view the girls are even more terrifying. And they are pretty scary from the front also.
Soon Iruka-Sensei put a stop to the noise. I glanced at my side and saw Shikamaru and Choji. I nod and clamp my mouth shut on the insistence of the Voice. I didn't want the extra attention at the moment. Despite what others think. I don't always want to be the center of attention.
"Today is your first step to being ninja," Iruka's voice wasn't loud but the seriousness captured everyone's attention. "Civilians romanticize being a ninja. However the harsh truth is the opposite. It is bloody, harsh, traumatizing. It is up to you how far you want to go. But remember this." He paused and looked each of us in the eyes, "The Hokage is your rules, law, conscience. Now. Teams are,"
I could see most of the girls ignored his warning. Even some of the boys did. Including one Uchiha-teme. Idiots. And this is coming from me, last place in the class. I live in a ninja infested area of the village. I'm positive most if not all are ANBU and I see what they look like coming home. It's just as traumatizing to a three year old as it is now.
The first six teams were called. Not that it matters. It was just the odd civilian kids in the class. Most of the girls actually pouted about not getting on Sasuke's team. Girls are weird.
"Tell me about it. I'm as old as the ninja ways and I still don't understand them." Voice as cryptic as it is helpful. In this case. None whatsoever.
"Team seven will be Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno," "Suck it Ino-pig!" "And Naruto Uzamaki."
'Death please,' I genuinely want it. It's got to be safer then this team. 'Why me?'
"Would you like some cheese with that whine?" See? Cryptic. "I am not! It's a normal saying. Ask the ponytailed kid next to you if you don't believe me." Clearly a pout going on. I may not see it. But the feeling is there. "I'm being attacked. See if I help you anymore."
The teachers came and got their teams. All but mine. I kept quiet. Watching as Sakura tried and failed to get Teme's attention. Truthfully. It's kinda funny to watch. The voice gave a chuckle in agreement. I watched them diligently as Sakura finally noticed me. Seeing as how I never moved to get closer to them.
"NARUTO-BAKA! Its your fault Sasuke-kun won't go on a date with me!"
"O-kay? So I know I'm dumb," a disturbing feeling of a glare, not from the voice, pinged on my radar. "But seeing as I never moved to get closer to you? It makes you... dumb? Wrong? Oh what is the word Jiji is always calling the civilian council?"
She gasped and I just shrug and look at the door where I could feel the glare coming from. Then a silver haired jonin(??) opened it. I cursed my self for not setting up a prank. "In my opinion? You're boring. Meet me on the roof." Then he went poof into a cloud of smoke and was gone. I followed Sasuke out into the hall then led the way to the roof. Seeing as how I came up there a lot to avoid people.
