Shocked

That would be an understatement to what I feel now. I was really so shocked to see her entering my cabin. I was going though a file when she peeked in. My mind needed a few seconds to realise the fact.

She told me she was here for the interview and never have I ever felt this happy. I should thank Shayam.

I interviewed her and adding to my happiness I read her name is still her maiden name. It means...!

Finally I asked her and she indirectly answered me that she's not married. I was over the clouds. I was the happiest man alive.

I just know some information about her cause I had some of my men draw a background check on her. Other than that, I had nothing to do with her but yet I don't know why I felt so freaking happy knowing she's not married. I don't care about her past. I really think she's the one cause I must admit I fell for her the first time I saw her. She was still the same beauty and I can't wait to get to know her.

After she left, I cared less about the other employees attending the meeting. I tried to find some errors in some people and the others, I didn't even bother to question them properly.

At the end of the day, the receptionist asked me for the result and I answered her right away. She smiled and went away.

I need to know about her, everything about her.

I quickly went back to my pent house. If you all are wondering what penthouse, then it's Shayam's penthouse where I'm staying. Since he has a new base here, he brought a house for himself here.

I quickly showered. I can't contain my happiness. As soon as I came out of the shower, my phone rang.

"What's up man?" It's Shyam.

"Everything's fine here. How about the interview?"

"Well thanks to you..." I told him everything and he kept listening to me.

"So what are you going to do now?" He asked.

"Obviously get information about her, also since she's the supervisor we don't want to take the same risk right?"

"I don't think it's right for you to involve in her personal matters. As for her being my employee, I'll do the background check. You can return back to NYC" he said and I looked at the phone I'm horror.

"Are you shitting me?"

He laughed his ass off the next minute and I scoffed at him.

"I got you good for a second man" he chuckled.

"Whatever, you're an a hole"

"I'll take that as a compliment" I can't believe this guy.

"Whatever, gotta go man"

"Yeah, dream about your girl" he chuckled before hanging up. I quickly took out my laptop and inserted the drive. Typing the password, I logged on to the employees details and typed her name in the search box.

My smile widened when I saw her profile. I went through everything and immediately called my investigator. I forwarded him the details and he promised me he will get back to me in the next 24 hours.

I can't wait!

The next morning

I woke up excited than usual and quick went to my office.

I entered the main building to go to my cabin and everyone moved away to give me space. Some wished me good morning and I nodded. I walked to my private lift and pressed the button. As I was waiting, I looked around as I heard some whispering. I saw Priscilla talking to the receptionist.

"What is that you want to know?" I asked her.

"I was just asking about my cabin" she was shocked to see me close to her. I nodded and gestured her to follow me.

She walked with me and at the same time the lift door opened. I pointed her to get in and she was looking at the other lift which the employees usually use.

I gave her a disbelief face and she looked at me without breaking contact.

"Get in Ms. Campbell, don't make me repeat myself" I said in a cold tone.

She walked inside and I pressed the fifth floor. I walked to my cabin and found her following me like a puppy. I quietly chuckled. After I entered my cabin, I removed my coat and loosened my tie. I hear her gulp even though I can't see her.

I smirked knowing this makes her gulp. I saw her looking at me with dreamy eyes yesterday and that made me happy for some reason. I turned to face her and found her looking at her hands holding the file. I went to her and took the file from her hands.

"So excited for your first day?" I asked placing the file on the desk. She just nodded, looking down.

I lift her chin up and her eyes suddenly widened. My breath hitched seeing her beautiful eyes and I realised how much I earned to look at them for almost a year. Putting my thoughts away, I released her chin.

"I want you to reply to me with words" I ordered and she nodded quickly. She immediately bite her lips knowing what she did.

"Yes sir" I swear I had to drink cold water.

"Always look at me while answering"

"Yes sir" her eyes looked at me and damn, my heart is going crazy.

"Have a thorough look at the construction going on and report back at the evening. This is for your first day work"

"Yes sir"

I gestured her to go but she kept standing there, biting her lips.

"You want anything?" I asked and she started walking towards me. I was surprised to see her just a feet apart and she pointed at my desk. I shook my head and immediately gave her the file back.

"Thank you sir"

She walked out and I know it's just the beginning.
