Chapter Twenty Nine
Tan Soo Mi
I sat on the edge of the lake, I had brought weapons with me. Just in case he brought others.
I sighed watching the moon reflect off the water. I started singing quietly, Eyes, Nose, lips.
"You have a really pretty voice." I had finished and I jumped and saw Taehyung stood there. He walked over and sat beside me.
"Thanks..." I blushed slightly. He grinned and I leant my head against his shoulders. "I didn't want a war between us, but why should I pay for something I didn't ask for?"
"I know..." He whispered and he played with my hair.
"I'm glad we can remain friends." I whispered in return.
"Why did you bring me here? You know how likely the boys are to find me." He mumbled quietly.
"Before the war breaks out completely, I wanted to spend time with you." I spoke quietly. "I also want to give you this." I reached into my back pocket and pulled out an envelope.
"What's that?"
"Three million, it should get you out the country, a house and it should last you until you can return back here. Once the war is over."
"What?-"
"I don't want you injured." I spoke quietly. "So please get away from here."
There was a silence for a few minutes and I was awfully aware of my heart pounding in my chest.
"I can't take it." He pushed the envelope back into my hands. My eyes widened. "I'm fighting this war, just like you." He gently lifted my head from his shoulder and I felt the tears well up in my eyes.
Kim Taehyung
"We can't speak anymore. Be prepared for war." My voice changed into a more threatening one and her eyes were wide with tears brimming them. It broke me to see her like this. But if I was to get injured or possibly worse, it wouldn't hurt her. If I could just distance myself from her now.
"T-Taehyung..." she whimpered.
"Bye." With that I turned and walked off before my own tears could be spotted.

If that's how he wanted to play, I'd play.
"Be careful Taehyung!" I wiped my tears away as I stood up and he froze in his spot. "You never know when a bullet may come your way."
He shook his head walking off.
"And it would be such a shame if it was the killing shot." I spat. My heart ached from saying such words, but I couldn't be weak anymore. I couldn't have feelings for people anymore. Because in the end they just hurt you.
