<Y/n p.o.v.>

Whilst I was in the middle of simulations I had noticed the time and so I stopped the simulations.

I stood up and tried to wake up both Yang and Ruby.

"N-No...five more minutes" Ruby groaned.

"Come on...wake up" I said.

"I don't wanna" Ruby groaned.

I sighed.

"Fine...guess I'll go on crazy adventures all on my own...all alone...fighting tons of monsters...saving the world....so many adventur-" I said.

"NO I WANNA COME" Ruby said clinging to my pants.

I pat her head.

"Come on then" I said.

"What about Yang" Ruby asked.

I thought of an idea.

"Hey Yang I'm going to vandalize your bike pretty pink mm mm mm gonna look mighty fine" I said.

She immediately shot up.

"DON'T YOU DARE" She said.

Ruby and I laughed.

We then turned our attention to two people.

One was a black haired guy with a bit of pink, and the other was a orange haired girl, she was harassing him.

We had to listen to her rambling.

Even into the bathroom...

Then as we packed up our sleeping bags...

Even in breakfast...

And finally into the locker room.

Once she had stopped both the black haired guy and the orange haired girl left.

"Wonder what those to are so worked up about" Ruby asked.

I shrugged.

"Oh who knows, so you seem awfully chipper this morning" Yang said to Ruby.

"Yep, no more awkward small talk or getting to know you stuff, today I get to let my sweetheart do the talking" Ruby said as she pulled out Crescent Rose.

"Aww thanks Ruby, I'll do all the talking" I said.

She turned to me with a surprised face, whilst Yang just laughed.

"I know I know I'm joking" I said with a smile...I made sure to put some practice into my smile whilst they were asleep.

Yang then stepped forward.

"Well remember Ruby you're not the only one going through initiation, if you want to grow up you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together" Yang said.

"She is right Ruby, you can't expect to use your scythe all the time, communication helps to become a great Huntress" I said.

"Ugh you sound like dad" Ruby said.

She placed her scythe back into her locker.

"Okay first of all what does meeting people have to do with fighting and secondly I don't need people to grow up...I drink milk" Ruby said.

"Well milk isn't working" I said.

"But what about when we form teams" Yang asked.

Ruby turned around.

"I don't know, I...I'll just try to be on your team or something" Ruby said.

"Maybe you should try being on someone else's team" Yang said as she played with her hair.

"My dearest sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me" Ruby asked.

"What no, of course I do, I just thought, I don't know...maybe it would help you break out of your shell" Yang said.

I noticed Ruby's heart rate increase, she was ticked.

"WHAT THE, I DON'T NEED TO BREAK OUT OF MY SHELL THAT'S ABSOLUTELY-" Ruby said.

"Ridiculous" Both Jaune and Ruby said at the exact same time.

I focused on Jaune.

"There's no way I put my gear in locker six three six yesterday, I would've remembered having to count that high, oh why did this have to happen today" Jaune said.

I tapped on his shoulder.

"Would you like some assistance" I asked.

He then hugged me.

"MY HERO" He said.

"Let's go find your gear" I said helping him.

I then noticed something.

"Jaune...check your waist" I said.

He looked and saw his sword in it's sheathe.

He facepalmed himself.

Then something caught his attention, so I looked at where he was focusing on.

It was Weiss and a red haired girl.

"So Pyrrha, have you given any thought to whose team you would like to be on, I'm sure everyone must be eager to unite with such a strong well-known individual such as yourself" Weiss asked.

"Hmm...I'm not quite sure , I was planning on letting the chips fall where they may" Pyrrha said.

Same...same...

"Well I was thinking maybe we could be on a team together" Weiss said.

"That's sounds grand" Pyrrha said.

"Great" Weiss said.

As Jaune headed towards them Weiss looked like she was scheming something evil...or atleast something that benefits only herself.

"You know what else is great, me...Jaune Arc, nice to meet you" Jaune said introducing himself.

"You again" Weiss said annoyed.

"Nice to meet you Jaune" Pyrrha said.

"Yeah yeah" Jaune said pushing Pyrrha away.

I thought it was rude.

I extended my hand to Pyrrha.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Y/n" I said.

"Pyrrha, a pleasure" She said as she shook it.

As I took my hand back she looked surprised...or maybe disappointed.

"So Weiss, I couldn't help but overhear your fondness of me the other day" Jaune said.

"Oh you've got to be kidding me" Weiss said annoyed.

"Don't worry, no need to be embarrassed, so been hearing rumors about teams, I was thinking you and me would make a good one, what do you say" Jaune asked.

Pyrrha spoke up.

"Actually I think the teams are comprised of four students each so..." Pyrrha said.

"You don't say" Jaune said.

Jaune slithered up next to Pyrrha.

"Well hot stuff, play your cards right and maybe you could join the winning team" Jaune said.

Weiss ran in between them.

"Jaune is it, do you have any idea who you were talking to" Weiss asked.

"Not the slightest snow angel" Jaune answered.

That's probably the worst name I've ever heard of.

"This is Pyrrha" Weiss said.

"Hello again" Pyrrha said.

"Pyrrha graduated top of her class at Sanctum" Weiss said.

"Never heard of it" Jaune said.

Must be another Academy somewhere else.

"She's won the Mistral regional tournament four years in a row, a new record" Weiss said.

"The what" Jaune asked.

Weiss' heart rate increased.

"SHE'S ON THE FRONT OF EVERY PUMPKIN PETE'S MARSHMALLOW FLAKES BOX" Weiss said as she flayed her arms around.

Jaune gasped.

"That's you, they only do that for star athletes and cartoon characters" Jaune said.

"Pyrrha does look like a star athlete so it shouldn't be a surprise, and winning a tournament four years in a row just supports it" I said.

Pyrrha made a slight blush.

"Thanks Y/n for the compliment, and yes I was on the cereal, it was pretty cool, sadly the ceral isn't very good for you" Pyrrha said.

"So after hearing all of this do you really think you are in a position to ask her to be on your team" Weiss asked.

"I guess not...sorry" Jaune said sadly.

Pyrrha walked up to him.

"Actually Jaune, I think you'd make a great leader" Pyrrha said placing her hand on his shoulder.

"Indeed you would, given time and training your spirit and your bravery will lead armies to victory" I said.

"Oh stop it" Jaune said happily.

Weiss appeared behind him.

"Seriously stop it, this kind of behavior should not be encouraged" Weiss said.

Sounds like Pyrrha and Y/n are on board for tea Jaune, spots are filling up quick, now I'm not supposed to do this, but maybe I could pull some strings, find a place for you, what do you say" Jaune said.

"All right, that's a bit too close, Pyrrha a little help please" Weiss said.

Pyrrha threw her spear at Jaune, pinning him to a wall.

"I'm sorry" Pyrrha apologized.

"Would all first year students, please report to Beacon cliff for in initiation, again all first year students report to Beacon cliff immediately.

"It was nice meeting you" Pyrrha said as she pulled her spear from Jaune's hood.

"Like wise" Jaune said.

Ruby and Yang walked over to us.

"Having some trouble there lady killer" Yang asked.

"I don't understand, my dad said all women look for is confidence, where did I go wrong" Jaune asked.

"Snow angel probably wasn't the best start" Yang said.

"Come on Jaune, let's go" Ruby said carrying Jaune.

I followed them.

"Jaune, I calculated multiple ways for you to actually obtain a female, would you like me to tell you them" I asked.

"Calculated..." Yang asked.

"No thanks Y/n...I'll do it myself" He said.

Each of the students were lined up on slabs on Beacon cliff.

Ozpin and Glynda were waiting for us.

"For years you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest" Ozpin said.

"Now I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams, well allow us to put an end to your confusion, each of you will be given teammates...today" Glynda said.

"What" Ruby cried.

"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well" Ozpin said.

Ruby cried a bit more.

"That being said the first person you make eye contact with with after landing will be your partner for the next four years" Ozpin said.

Ruby's mental limit broke.

"WHAT" Ruby complained.

"See I told you" The orange haired girl said.

"After you've partnered up make your war to the northern end of the forest, you will meet opposition, do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path...or you will die" Ozpin said.

Jaune nervously laughed, then gulped.

"You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene, you will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics, each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff, we will guard that item as well as your standing and grade you appropriately, are there any questions" Ozpin asked.

Jaune tried to ask a question but was denied.

"Good, now take your positions" Ozpin said.

Everyone went into battle poses.

Jaune however...

"Uh sir, I've got umm...a question" Jaune said.

Students were being flung over the cliff.

"So this landing strategy thingy, what is it, you're like...dropping us off or something" Jaune asked.

"No...you will be falling" Ozpin said.

More students were being flung.

"Wow, I see, so like did you hand out parachutes for us" Jaune asked.

"No, you will be using your own landing strategy" Ozpin said.

Jaune realized what that meant.

Yang and Ruby were flung over the cliff.

"Ok, so what exactly is a landing strateg-EEEEEEE" Jaune said as he was flung.

Before I could be flung...

"Y/n...before you go I'd like to just let you know that after initiation I'd like to talk to you in my office" Ozpin said.

"If I do get in that is" I said.

As I was flung I prepared myself for what was to come.

Hearing about what lies in the forest I realized this was what I was meant to do....

What I was made for.

To travel along the path and eliminate all that stood in my way...

To Destroy them...

No...to TERMINATE!
