<Y/n p.o.v.>

Once the airship had landed the first student to run out was the blonde we dubbed 'Vomit boy'.

He ran to the nearby bin and proceeded to throw up.

All of the students walked out towards Beacon.

When we reached halfway Ruby, Yang and I all stared in awe at Beacon Academy.

"The view from Vale's got nothing on this" Yang said.

We then saw Ruby swoon over everyone's weapons.

"Ooh ooh sis, that kid's got a collapsible staff, and she's got a fire sword" Ruby said.

Yang pulled her back to us before she could chase the students.

"Easy there little sister, they're just weapons" Yang said.

"Just weapons, they're an extension of ourselves, they're a part of us, they're so cool" Ruby said.

"Well why can't you swoon over your own weapon, aren't you happy with it" Yang asked.

Ruby extended her scythe.

"Of course I'm happy with Crescent Rose, I just really like seeing new ones, it's like meeting new people...but better" Ruby said.

"Even with my time among the humans in the future I was always socially awkward so I have to agree with Ruby" I said making Ruby smile.

Yang pulled Ruby's hood over her head.

"Ruby come on, why don't you try and make some friends of your own, maybe Y/n can help you" Yang said.

"But why would I need friends when I have you...no offence Y/n" Ruby said.

"I'm sure I won't be offended Ruby" I said trying to be sarcastic.

"Well...my friends are actually here, gotta go catch up bye" Yang said as her friends arrived.

They sped away leaving a dazed Ruby.

"Wait where are you going, are we supposed to go to our dorms, where are our dorms, do we have dorms, I don't know what I'm doing" Ruby said.

"Ruby you might want to watch ou-" I said.

Thump!

She fell onto someone's luggage.

"What are you doing" A white haired girl asked.

Ruby looked up at the girl.

"Sorry" She said.

"Sorry, do you have any idea of the damage you could've caused" The girl asked angrily.

Ruby tried to hand her back her luggage to her.

"Give me that, this is Dust, mined and purified from the Schnee quarry" The girl said.

Ruby was confused.

"What are you brain-dead, Dust...fire, water, lightning, energy, are you even listening" The girl asked.

I helped Ruby up.

"Is any of this sinking in, what do you have to say for yourself" The girl asked.

Dust filled the air, and I knew what was going to happen.

"Uhh miss, I wouldn't keep shaking those if I were you" I said to her.

She ignored me and continued to do so.

Dust went into Ruby's nose and it was going to make her sneeze.

I tried to protect the girl as Ruby sneezed.

When she did sneeze an explosion occurred, fire , ice, and lightning went everywhere in one big chain reaction.

"Unbelievable, this is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about" The girl said.

"I'm really really sorry" Ruby said.

"Ah you complete dolt, what are you even doing here, aren't you a little too young to be attending Beacon" The girl asked.

Ruby tried explaining herself.

"This isn't your ordinary combat school, it's not just sparring and practice you know, we're here to fight monsters, so watch where you're going" The girl asked.

"Hey I said I was sorry princess" Ruby said.

"It's Heiress actually" A voice said.

It was a black haired girl who was holding one of the Dust canisters that escaped the Heiress' luggage.

"Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the Schnee dust company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world" The black haired girl said.

"Finally some recognition" Weiss said.

"The same company infamous for it's controversial labor forces and questionable business partners" The black haired girl said.

Weiss got angered by that comment and snatched her Dust back.

Before she could let out another rant at Ruby I morphed my arm into a long blade and aimed it at her neck.

"Weiss Schnee, if you have nothing else better to do than to pick on a young girl I suggest you leave" I said.

She scoffed and walked away whilst her butlers retrieved her luggage.

"You ok" I asked Ruby.

"Yes I'm fine, thank you Y/n, I guess I'm not the only one having a rough first day" She said.

Before she could speak to the black haired girl we saw her walk away.

Ruby lay down on the ground.

"Welcome to Beacon" Ruby said to herself.

Before I could speak I saw a hand appear and reach out for Ruby.

It belonged to 'Vomit boy'?

"Hi, I'm Jaune" He said.

"Ruby" Ruby said getting held back up.

Jaune then turned to me.

"How about you" He asked.

"Y/n" I said.

Ruby snickered.

"Aren't you the guy who threw up on the ship" Ruby asked.

We were walking around Beacon.

"All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem than people let on" Jaune said.

"I'm sorry, Vomit boy was the first thing that came to mind" Ruby said.

"Oh yeah, what if I called you crater face" Jaune asked.

"Hey that explosion was an accident, speaking of which how are you doing Y/n, you did take that explosion point blank saving Weiss" Ruby asked.

I gave a thumbs up.

"I am all good, luckily no major damage occurred, otherwise my identity would've been revealed" I said.

"Well my identity is Jaune Arc, shot, sweet, rolls off the tongue, ladies love it" Jaune said.

"Do they" Ruby asked.

Jaune became nervous...I think, I'm still learning emotions.

"They will, well I hope they well, I think...mom always says that...nevermind" Jaune said.

We continued walking.

"So I got this thing" Ruby said.

She pulled out Crescent Rose.

"Whoa...is that a scythe" Jaune asked.

"It's also a customizable high impact sniper rifle" Ruby said.

Jaune was confused.

"It's also a gun" Ruby said cocking her scythe.

"Oh...that's cool, what about you Y/n" Jaune said.

I morphed my arm into a long blade.

"I have no external weaponry, my weapons come from myself, in short I can make my body parts turn into weapons such as blades, hooks, mallets, etc" I said.

"What happened to the gun you took off the robber" Ruby asked.

"I handed it to the Vale authorities when we were being questioned" I said.

Jaune seemed impressed.

"Is that your semblance" He asked.

Ruby seemed worried.

"I guess you could call it that" I said.

Ruby sighed with relief.

"So...what do you got" Ruby asked Jaune.

Jaune unsheathed his sword.

"I got this sword" Jaune said.

"Oooh" Ruby said.

"Yeah, I've got this shield too" Jaune said turning his sheathe into a shield.

"So what'd they do" Ruby asked trying to touch it.

When she did the shield spazzed out and jumped all around Jaune's arms as he tried to catch it.

After a bit he finally caught it.

"The shield gets smaller so when I get tired of carrying it I can just put it away" Jaune said.

"I can see a flaw" I said.

"Yeah, wouldn't it weigh the same" Ruby said.

Jaune hung his head.

"Yeah it does" He said.

"Well I'm kind of a dork when it comes to weapons I guess I did go a little overboard in designing it" Ruby said.

"Wait, you made that" Jaune asked.

"Of course, all students at Signal forge their own weapons, didn't you make yours" Ruby asked.

Jaune looked at his blade.

"It's a hand me down, my great-great-grandfather used it to fight in the war" Jaune said.

"Sounds more like a family heirloom to me" Ruby said.

Jaune seemed sad.

"Well I like it, not any people have an appreciation for the classics these days" Ruby said.

"Yeah....the classics" Jaune said.

This cheered him up a bit.

"So why'd you help me out back there in the courtyard" Ruby asked.

"Eh why not, my mom always says 'strangers are just friends you haven't met yet" Jaune said.

"Hmm...so where are we going" Ruby asked.

"Oh I don't know, I was following you" Jaune said.

We looked around.

"You think there might be a directory, maybe a food court, some sort of recognizable landmark" Jaune asked.

Ruby snickered.

"So is that a no" Jaune asked.

"That's no" Ruby said.

I decided to go through my databanks for assistance.

"Hmm...I recommend we head in the same direction the other students were going, it's this way" I said.

"WE'LL FOLLOW THE LEADER" Ruby said.

And with that we headed to the entrance.
