I'd say this is the second to last chapter. Or third.... maybe. Oh also I'm back! I just really don't want to end this book. Because I love it so much and love the characters.

"You're wasting valuable time!" Megatron roared angrily as they started to lead him to a car. The cops were currently working on a plan to get them back and try to figure out the best course of action.

"Listen to me! You've already made a mistake by not listening to me earlier! Don't make another by wasting time!" He shouted at them as they opened the car door. He narrowed his eyes and shouldered the cop by him before jumping and managing to get his cuffed hands in front of him. They had cuffed him earlier after the call came in. Heatwave and Soundwave worked on helping with the plan. The cops yelled in surprise and he grabbed Rodi by the shirt and yanked him towards him. Grabbing him with both hands.

"Listen to me damn it." He seethed angrily through gritted teeth as he ignored the cops aiming their guns at him. "I may be an old man but I'm a spry and will kill every one of you if I have to. All of you know I can and will." He growled as Rodimus stared at him without fear. The area was deathly still and tense as the two glared at each other.

"You can turn me in after you catch them. Tie me up, cage me and let me rot, I don't care. I won't even fight you, but only after you catch them and those girls are safe." he said seriously as the chief of police studied him. He clenched his fists slowly and narrowed his eyes, debating on what to do. Soundwave stepped forward and glanced between them, starting to speak even though they didn't look at him.

"Rodimus... if you let him go.... he'll be able to catch them before anyone else has to die by their hands... please... I know it's a risk... but he can find them." he said seriously and clenched his fists in anger towards his father. He knew he was going to kill Beta if they waited too long. "He can ride in my car and I'll do the driving." He explained, which caused several cops to protest and start to get angry.

"Shut up!" Rodimus yelled angrily and looked at them. The cops fell silent and he pulled out his keys as he started to unlock Megatron's cuffs. "He is your responsibility." he said as he glanced to Soundwave. "I'm only freeing him so he isn't useless. Now go!" he yelled as the ex-con rubbed his wrists. The two cons went to the car and Soundwave drove off.

"Do you realize what you just did?!" Strongarm asked. "You just let them get away!" she yelled angrily and the Chief looked at her.

"Everyone move out." he said seriously and glared as he went to the car to follow the ex-cons. He trusted Soundwave because he trusted Heatwave. He couldn't mess this up and risk the lives of those girls. If anyone could take down Tarn, it would be Megatron. Ironhide got in the car with him and they drove after them, he was silent as the young Chief sat in the back with his brother and hugged him tightly. Staring out the window in thought.

Megatron was silent as they drove and he glanced to the smoldering car on the side of the road as they passed. The cop had been saved and they were just putting the rest of the flames out. He glanced over to Soundwave who drove then looked at his wrists as he rubbed them, he hated the feeling of cuffs but knew he had to get used to it. He was quiet as he made a plan to get Beta back. The silent man drove quickly as he frowned in thought.

"This brings back memories." The young man commented and glanced to his former boss as he smiled a little. Megatron looked at him and smiled slightly.

"That it does. I miss it dearly..." he admitted and looked out the window. Soundwave nodded silently in agreement. He'd be lying if he said he didn't miss it on occasion. Being able to get anything he wanted without detection. He smiled a little at the thought, debating on something. "Soundwave... I'll turn myself in once Beta and the girls are safe... I need you to do something for me." he said seriously and looked up at him. The young man watched him intently for a moment and nodded slowly.

"Of course... anything sir." he muttered as if this was a normal job back with the mafia. Megatron smiled a little at the boy next to him. He realized just how much he missed him and others from the mafia.

"Promise me... that-" he stopped suddenly as they saw the new car wrecked on the side of the road. They turned their lights off and slowly approached before parking. The two carefully got out and looked into the now empty car. Megatron crouched down and noticed a stuffed tiger. 

"Hobbes..." he muttered as he remembered the child showing him. Soundwave was already tracking and he headed off as Megatron drove further down the road and frowned. He counted in his head and calculated as he drove. Four members of the DJD. Three men and the girl. Surely Miko and Beta could over power them. But this was the DJD. 

He cursed quietly and stopped as he saw Soundwave on the side of the road. He pulled over and looked at him before parking and getting out. The silent man led him through the woods towards a small shack that was well hidden. They got closer and saw a lone man sitting out front.

Vos was irritated and angry that he had to keep watch. He didn't want to keep watch he wanted to do what Helex was doing, finding a new car, or so he thought. Because the idiot children made them wreck. He also wanted to beat the crap out of the brats. Especially since two got away. Tarn was off looking for them and Nickel was inside the shack working. Thankfully the monster was tied up and unable to leave. He huffed as he folded his arms and glared darkly, unaware of the intruders nearby. 

Soundwave and Megatron moved in a V formation towards the house. Each gradually getting away from each other and moving to opposite sides of the shack. Vos was in the front and the two ex-cons on the sides. Soundwave glanced to the back but didn't see a door. He frowned deeply and looked for windows, not finding any. Megatron moved to the front and glanced to Vos, he looked at Soundwave who nodded once before the silent man went to the Decepticon member. He quickly grabbed him around the neck and covered his mouth. Megatron came forward as he struggled and punched the man out cold. They gently lay him in the grass and silently went inside. 

Nickel jumped and whipped around as the door opened, but she didn't see anyone and frowned deeply. She slowly got up and went to the door before peaking out. She tried to scream when someone grabbed her and covered her mouth. Megatron held on to her as Soundwave looked into the tiny building.

"No one's there except Beta." He said seriously and the leader blinked in surprise as he looked at him. Nickel glanced around quickly to see where the others were. Hoping they were nearby, but she knew they weren't and Vos was in the grass.

"What? Where are the others and the girls?" The ex-con leader asked then growled as he looked at Nickel. She paled and they went inside, Soundwave checked on Beta and sighed in relief. She was simply unconscious. "What happened?" he growled at the girl and she whimpered. After a moment he slowly lowered his hand, giving her a dark expression.

"Miko... she went nuts when she woke up. She grabbed Helex around the neck in a head lock as he drove, Tarn tried to get her off and she kicked him in the face. Vos was trying to keep um... Peregrine under control as she smacked him and kicked him.... I guess Miko inspired her or something." she muttered. "I didn't know what to do and we swerved as Helex nearly passed out... Miko kept kicking Tarn in the face... then we crashed. She grabbed the little girl and took off into the woods.... Tarn and Helex went after her when they recovered... left me behind... to guard..." she whispered quietly. 

"That child is quite the spitfire." Megatron smirked as he kept a hold of Nickel to keep her there. "Soundwave, call the cops and tell them what happened and where they are. I'll go after the others after we secure Nickel." he said seriously. The silent con nodded and grabbed Vos then worked on tying the two DJD members together. Megatron went over to Beta and gently rubbed her cheek with his thumb.

"You're safe now... I'll be back once I get the other two..." he said and scoffed softly. "I'm an idiot to think I can be a hero... but here I am." he said and gently kissed her forehead before quickly running off. He had to find the girls before something horrible happened to them.

Miko continued to run as she hugged Peregrine close and jumped over logs and rocks, it was dark, only the moon lit their way and she only hoped she didn't hurt herself. She made it to the road and glanced around before she ran down the it, praying it led off the mountain, going into the woods to cut through and hide if she needed to. The child clung to her and whimpered as she remembered another time someone ran through the woods with her. Going to a cave to protect them. She just hoped Miko didn't get hurt like Jack had. She hoped people found them before that happened. She buried her face and quietly sobbed. She just wanted to go home.

Tarn and Helex gave chase as they did their best to follow the teenager, knowing she'd be a tad slower while carrying the child. Tarns nose and face was bleeding where she kicked him, his nose was broken and he had bruises on his neck and chest where she hit him with her foot. Helex had bruises on his neck from getting choked. Both were furious and ran after the child. They heard her running through the woods and the near full moon actually helped them see her better. 

They ran faster as they got on the road and she ran towards a river that was raging down the mountain. She ran to the edge of a bridge and jumped off as she hugged the child close. The two men cursed as the water swept her away. They rushed down to the shoreline and followed the river until they came to another bridge that was fairly low. Helex grabbed the teen and lifted her up as Tarn grabbed her arm harshly.

"You can't get away that easy." the leader grinned wickedly as his eyes glinted in the moonlight. Miko shuddered from the cold and horrible feeling the man sent running down her spine, she knew he was going to kill her, and it wouldn't be quick. They each took one of her arms and headed back, getting to the road in a short amount of time.

"Let her go." A voice ordered and they all stopped as Tarn sighed in exasperation, he was going to kill this person for stopping him. He turned around slightly to look at the individual. 

"Let them go, now." Chase said seriously as he kept the gun on them. Tarn smirked knowing he could quickly and easily get rid of this foolish cop.
