Once Megatron was feeling better, he explored the home and the garden outside that was surrounded by woods. They were extremely well hidden from anyone's view. He watched as his children left to do different things and become what they wanted.

Baylee worked at the hospital, and became good friends with a lot of people. She never brought them home, knowing her father had to be hidden. She also never talked about her family simply to protect them. She became good friends with a group of girls named Piper, Cassidy and a few others. They were great friends and did a lot together. The three children became Megatron's eyes and ears to the outside world.

Steeljaw followed his father's footsteps and became involved with the mafia. Megatron didn't approve of his activity but didn't say anything. He didn't want to push him away and hoped he'd get out of it soon. Though Steeljaw always reported back and told him what the mafia or gangs were doing. Baylee would tell him about the things happening in her friends life. Which helped him keep track of somethings.

Blitzwing had random information that was useful and sometimes wasn't. He would get thrown into the mental hospital but didn't stay. They couldn't seem to keep him in and it turned into a game for him.

Beta kept in contact with her sons but couldn't visit them. Her ex was still looking for her. She would call them and do what she could in hiding. Shockwave stopped talking to her altogether and seemed to disappear. Though they knew he was working with Steeljaw.

Megatron himself started to leave in the night and went back to the city. He grew his facial hair out to stay hidden from recognition. When asked where he went and why, he never told them. Beta and Steeljaw told him he needed to be careful and not blow his cover. The man didn't respond and disappeared again.

It had been two years since the explosion and they were worried he was going to ruin his cover. One night it was raining and Beta was the only one awake in the house.

The front door burst open and she jumped in surprise as she grabbed a kitchen knife. She went to the door and her eyes widened in alarm. Megatron was gripping his arm as it bled from a bullet wound. He looked at her as sweat ran down his face. She helped him inside then closed the door and locked it.

"What are you doing out there?" She hissed as she sat him down. "Are you trying to get yourself killed?" She asked as she smacked him in the back of the head. He didn't respond and stared at the floor as he glared a little. She shook her head angrily and grabbed some medical supplies. She came back, took off his shirt and roughly worked on his shoulder as she scolded him.

"I don't understand why you do this. What is so important for you to risk your life and the lives of your children?" She asked as she glared at the wound.

"I was protecting Heatwave..." he rasped quietly without looking at her. She stopped suddenly and looked at him.

"What?" She whispered as she stared at him. He didn't look at her as he stared at the floor and rain dripped down his face.

"Someone was trying to kill him... I stopped the sniper... he was a Predacon..." he rasped and she knelt in front of him as tears fell down her face.

"I won't tell you how I know these things. But I leave because I've been protecting your sons." He whispered. "I made a promise that I would, and I don't intend to break that." He said seriously. Beta stared at him and choked back a sob then hugged him gently. His eyes widened in surprise and he slowly looked at her.

"Thank you... thank you..." she whispered quietly between her tears. He smiled a little and hugged her back the best he could.

"You're welcome Beta..." he whispered and buried his face in her hair. He was reminded of Ashley and his heart ached for his wife. He couldn't think of her as an ex and his heart wouldn't let her go.

Another year past and he decided to do something risky. He wanted Beta to be happy and bought her a flower shop so she could be in town. He drove her to the location then told her to close her eyes.

He led her to the store and kept his hands over her eyes as she walked in front of him. He smiled as she started to get frustrated with him.

"Okay. Open." He said as he smiled slightly and pulled away. Her eyes widened in surprise and she gasped as she looked at the beautiful shop.

"Oh..." was all she could say. She shook her head and looked at him. "Why.... I don't understand..." she whispered. He chuckled softly and gently gripped her hand as he led her around.

"So you can be close to the children... and your boys." He muttered as he smirked cockily. She smiled a little as he let go and walked over to the counter.

"I'll provide everything you need. You just have to sell the flowers and enjoy." He said as his smirk grew.

"You know I hate that look." She muttered bitterly, referring to his smirk and she folded her arms. "But thank you." She whispered. He chuckled softly and went into the back room.

Betas smile faded and she looked at her hand he had held. She stared blankly and clenched her hand then held it close. She shook the feelings she felt away and cast them out of her heart. He didn't see her that way. He was still in love with Ashley. She looked around the shop and smiled a little.

Megatron was watering some flowers and smiled as he bent down and smelled a few. Even though everyone said he was a monster, she didn't see that. She saw a hurt man trying to heal, and a world not willing to let him.

The ex mafia leader stayed with her in the shop but left when people came. He thought for a few minutes then took a few things and took off in the night. He found her boys and where they lived, then slipped an envelope under their doors before taking off. He smiled and chuckled as he disappeared into the night. He felt like a mischievous teen for that moment.

The next day Beta was working on trimming the bonsai trees when the door opened. She looked up and smiled though it faulted a little. Heatwave stood at the door and stared at her blankly for a while before he smiled.

"Mom." He whispered as tears filled his eyes. She hadn't seen her boys in so long. She choked back a sob and ran over than hugged him tightly. He chuckled and half sobbed as he held her close.

"You're okay..." he rasped and gripped her face. He looked at the scars and let a few tears fall. He never showed emotion if he could help it. Something all her boys had seemed to master. Never show emotion. She blamed their father for forcing that on them.

"I was so worried about you little firefighter." She whispered as she gripped his face in turn. "You've grown so much." She said and kissed his cheek as he smiled slightly.

She hugged him again and buried her face in his shoulder as she held on to her son. She showed him the shop and spoke to him for a while before he had to go. He promised to be back and she kissed his forehead before he walked out.

Later on in the day she looked up to see Shockwave. He stared blankly as he opened the door and walked in. She didn't know why, but he scared her a little. She stayed hidden behind her plants and watched him as she fiddled with some flowers. She bit her lip as her fingers trembled. Why was she scared of her own son? She hesitated and watched as he looked around then took a few steps into the shop.

"Can I help you?" She asked from her hiding place. She tried to calm herself as she inhaled shakily. He looked to her voice and his eye narrowed. She felt a chill run down her spine and she looked away. She wished Megatron was here. She felt safe with the man.

"Why did I receive a note to come here?" He asked as he glared at a flower and crushed it in his hand. She took a deep breath and walked into his view. The man stared at her blankly then furrowed his brow. Beta hesitated as she watched her son. She smiled a little and opened her mouth to speak.

"Don't." He growled lowly and clenched his fists. Her smile faded and she watched him intently. "I said I didn't want to see you again." He muttered bitterly.

"But I wanted to see you. I want to see my boys again." She said as she smiled sadly.

"Then you shouldn't have left father!" He shouted angrily and looked at her. She jumped at his anger and he sighed forcefully as he calmed down.

"I left him because of what he did to me and was doing to you boys." She said as she motioned to the scars on her face. "I didn't want this to happen to you. I-"

"Silence!" Shockwave shouted and smacked her hard in the face. She cried out and looked at him with tears in her eyes as she set a hand against her stinging cheek.

"You won't fill my head with your pathetic lies and illogical assumptions." He seethed angrily through gritted teeth. "I never want to see your hideous face again." He spat and walked to the door. He stopped and looked at her with a dark expression.

"You should have stayed dead. I don't have a family anymore." He said then walked out of the shop.

Beta stared at the closed door then hesitantly locked it. She silently started to water the plants then stopped as tears filled her eyes. She went to the back then unintentionally glanced at the small mirror in the bathroom. She burst into tears and grabbed the broom then smashed the mirror. She fell to her knees and sobbed silently as she sat against the wall. Not caring that the glass was cutting her.

An hour later Megatron went to the shop and stopped suddenly when he found the door was locked. He furrowed his brow and went to the back door. After unlocking it he slipped in and went to the front of the store then looked around. He narrowed his eyes as he searched then stopped when he heard something move. He frowned deeply and went to the restroom in the back. He saw her foot poking out of the room, and his eyes widened when he noticed some blood. He ran over and carefully pushed the door open.

"Beta..." he whispered. She was laying on the floor sleeping on the glass. The woman was bleeding from being on the shards. He carefully picked her up and held her close. He sighed shakily and carefully laid her down on his jacket in the office. He then started to take the larger pieces of glass out of her skin and hair. After a few minutes she slowly opened her eyes and looked at him. He paused and stared at her as tears fell down her face.

"Beta... did someone try and rob you?" He asked quietly. She shook her head and he looked at the bruise. "What happened?" He asked as glared darkly.

She sighed shakily and quietly told him who hurt her and what she did. Megatron narrowed his eyes and gathered her into a hug when he finished taking out the glass. She sobbed silently and buried her face in his chest. He let her cry and wanted to make Shockwave pay. He pushed his anger away for a few minutes and set his chin on her head.

"If it matters.... you're beautiful to me..." he whispered quietly. She didn't respond as she held on to him.

When she was calm, she wanted to finish the day. She reopened the shop and ignored her cuts. Megatron stayed in the back and worked there, not wanting to leave her. They were closing up and Megatron was working on fixing the mirror when they heard the door open.

"We're closed." She sighed forcefully without looking up. The person didn't respond and she heard them step forward, but it was hesitant. She frowned deeply and slowly looked up at the person. The two stared at each other for a few minutes in silence.

"Soundwave." She whispered slightly hesitant about what he would do. Afraid he would hurt her like Shockwave. The youngest son stared at her then hugged her tightly. She stiffened at first as she clenched her fists in fear.

"I'm sorry.... I made a horrible mistake... I shouldn't have followed Shockwaves footsteps." He muttered and she slowly hugged him back. "I... I saw what he did to you..." he rasped and pulled away to look at her.

"Mom... I'm so sorry...." he whispered as tears fell down his face. She looked at him and gently gripped his face as she wiped his tears away.

"It's okay... I'm just glad to see my little musician." She choked and gently kissed his forehead. He smiled sadly as he closed his eyes.

Megatron smiled slightly as he watched from his hiding place in the other room. He missed the young man and was glad to him finally smile. The ex mafia leader watched quietly, glad to see that at least two of Betas sons still loved her. He smiled a little more and silently slipped away.

He could still make a good plan.
