Chapter Six
"I DON'T KNOW OKAY-- I DON'T KNOW!!" Arnav screamed, his eyes were screaming of his agitation and uneasiness.
Anjali's heart broke on witnessing the look on her brother's face, what had they ever done to deserve this, she wondered and wondered in vain.
"It's okay chotte, calm down." Anjali whispered in his ear soothingly.
Arnav sighed, "I'm sorry I didn't mean to snap at you like that. Its so weird." He said in a small voice.
Anjali held his hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "Everything is going to be okay."
"From the moment I've woken up in the hospital after my accident I haven't been able to live. I keep looking for someone, expected someone to show up and-- and complete me. I don't know what is happening, or why it is happening but I feel like I have left a part of myself behind, as if not three years but a part of my life and a very important part for that matter is lost." Arnav confessed, pouring all his emotions in front of his sister.
Anjali bit back a sob, her eyes filled with tears ready to roll down her cheeks.
"I know you must think I'm crazy, maybe I am but.. I don't know how to explain myself." Arnav said.
"You know what's even worse?" Arnav asked rhetorically "I can't even explain what is happening to me to my own self because it doesn't make any sense."
"Of course it makes sense Arnav. Everything does. Your emotions are real and they make perfect sense. I wish I could help you. I wish there was a way to rid you of your pain without causing you the same. I'm so sorry." Anjali said sadly
"You can. You just have to tell me about these three years that have passed. I want to know--to remember." Arnav almost pleaded with Anjali.
"I can't tell you anything chotte. The doctors have strictly warned against stressing you." Anjali said in a small voice.
Arnav closed his eyes, "I can tell, that even you don't want to obey the doctors."
"Only if we had a choice. Disregarding their words and losing you is not an option for us." Anjali said
"You're overreacting, you're not going to lose me for something so petty." Arnav said while smiling softly
"Can you say that for sure?" Anjali asked "Can you assure us that telling you everything will not harm you in any way?"
"You were in a coma for forty-eight hours, and the doctors weren't even sure you'll pull through. I don't want to go through anything like that again. I don't think you understand just how much you mean to us. Saans atki hai hum sabki tumhaare andar, samajh rahe ho? Tumhe kucch ho, isse pehle-- (All of our lives is stuck in yours, Before something happens to you--)
Arnav pulled her into a hug. "I'm sorry. I won't ask you anything." He mumbled into her hair.
Anjali pulled away.
"So what did Khushi name her princess?" Arnav asked
"She didn't."
Arnav frowned. "Why?"
"Because she wanted you to be the one to do it." Anjali said nonchalantly, as Arnav stared with his eyes widened slightly.
"But--"
"She's stubborn. She won't budge. She wants you down there." Anjali said with a careless shrug.
Arnav sighed, his lips curling into a smile. "Fine. What should I wear?"
Anjali laughed and ran inside his room to rummage through his wardrobe.

Arnav walked downstairs clad in a maroon kurta with an off white dhoti pants looking like every bit of the prince charming that he was. The hall was filled with the rambles of the little princess, coos of her mother and gossips of Nani-ji Mami-ji and Dadi-ji.
Akash and Payal were sitting with Khushi while the princess played in her lap. Payash and Mami-ji had flown to delhi an hour ago all the way from the States for the first function of their niece and granddaughter respectively while Mama-ji unfortunately had to stay back to look after the US branch of AR.
As soon as Arnav stepped on the staircase Khushi's head snapped up in his direction as if sensing his presence. (Of course duh!)
The two lost a battle they didn't even know they were fighting and surrendered under each other's gaze, Arnav descended the stairs and walked upto Khushi without realizing what he was doing.
"You look breathtaking mon amour (my love)" He whispered in her ear while kissing her cheek while Khushi closed her eyes trying to memorize how his lips felt on her skin.
A tear slipped out of her eyes.
Arnav snapped out of his trance as soon as he saw her closed eyes and tears staining her cheeks. He hastily took several steps back causing Khushi to peel her eyes open on instinct as she lost the comforting warmth her husband's proximity and look straight into his troubled and (to some extent) guilty gaze.
"Arnav-" She had barely whispered his name when Arnav cut her off with his apology.
"I don't know what came over me I didn't mean to-" Arnav looked to be on the verge of having a panic attack when Khushi held his hand and squeezed it gently
"Relax. Calm down. Breath." She spoke whilst gently rubbing a pattern on the back of his hand. "I'm not going to blast on you because you called me 'breathtaking'."
Arnav cracked a small smile.
"Wow Khushi, you handled that pretty easily." Akash smiled at his SIL
"I've had practice." She replied returning the smile.
"You seem familiar to each other." Arnav said settling on the other side of Khushi making the baby girl to whine in his direction. Arnav smiled at his little drama queen and after sharing a quick look with the mother shifted her in his own arms.
"Payal and Khushi are best friends. She had attended our wedding and we've been in contact constantly ever since." Akash explained to his brother.
Arnav nodded in understanding.
"I'm sorry that I don't remember anything about.. your marriage."Arnav looked at the couple apologetically.
"You were not present at the wedding. You had been diagnosed with dengue then. Even Khushi wasn't there for more than an hour, that too only because the wedding itself was in Mumbai." Payal said glancing almost accusingly at her friend.
"You know why I couldn't come." Khushi said making a puppy face.
Payal sighed and smiled. "Of course I do. It's fun to see you making your famed puppy face. You look irresistibly cute." Payal said "but your daughter is the cutest, no contest there."
Khushi laughed. "Of course."

"According to the birth chart of the child along with the birth charts of both the parents the girl should have a name starting from the word B or the word P" the priest announced a long (boring) and thorough study of the three birth charts.
Khushi looked at Arnav who was sitting right next to her. "Do you need time to think of a name?"
"Why are you so stubborn? You must have thought of so many names.. you and 'her father' why are you giving me the right to give her an identity. She'll be known by that name I give her. What if she doesn't like it? What if her father doesn't like the name I give her?" Arnav asked quietly.
"Don't you worry, 'her father' will love the name you give her and so will she. Do you have a name on your mind or not?" Khushi questioned him.
Arnav sighed. "Okay. B or P?"
Khushi shrugged. "You're doing the whole thing."
Arnav glared at her while she smiled innocently.
Arnav smiled softly and thought for a while before his eyes sparkled.
"Prisha"
Khushi smiled.
"She's my Prisha. Prisha Singh Raizada" She remembered hearing the overjoyed exclamation by her husband after they had found out about the pregnancy. "The most precious gift that your Devi Maiyya could ever bestow me with, after you."
