Location: Khilchatra

The maids and Haseena were getting Mahi ready for her meeting with Khalid who would be returning soon. She has burned all the jewellery and stuff Khalid sent formally but after maids bought those things again she agreed thinking that now its time for extreme measures.

Her heart ached as she wore different jewellery she dosen't want to do this but its important to teach Khalid that sometimes beauty can turn into beast.

Madhav was standing by the door leaning on the wall. He has just came back for witnessing how Pragati was making Surykaant's life worst then hell. Seeing him pleading for mercy, to have some rest gave him a sense of satisfaction.

Madhav got a certain happiness seeing the man he trusted and respected so much being tourtured mercilessly for not onlt backstabbing him but for destroying Mahi's life.

Haseena took the vermilion and was about to apply it in Mahi's partition when Mahi caught her wrist in mid air. Her grip was so tight that Haseena has to use her free hand to get her wrist free which resulted in vermilion getting spilled all over.

Next Mahi held the magalsutr Haseena has sneaked in while she tied the necklace around her neck. She fisted it in her hands and gave it pull breaking it as it too fell on the flower.

"Vidhva ka sringar karane ka paap hi kafi hai aapke pati ke liye begum sahiba....hum ek suhagan ki taraf sajy kar kyun unke ant to shigr bulaa rahi hain" She said still looking in the mirror with no expressions on her face.

"Begum sahiba Sultan ke aagman ka waqt hone ko hai" A servant notified them as Haseena lead Mahi to a Khalid's room where several diyas were lit up for provinding sufficient light. Seeing all this a distant memory came back in her mind as she teared up.

Flashback

Its was night time and the whole kingdom of Suryani was asleep except for the queen. As the day of war approached she started feeling low and sad. She has lost her joyful and talkative nature and now she remained gloomy and quite all the time.

The situation was becoming unbearable for Madhav. Seeing his love loose herself infront of him was shattering his heart into pieces so before Mahi completely forgets how to smile he decided to take the matters in his own hands.

Mahi was sitting alone in the room all sad and gloomy when someone wrapped a cloth around her eyes blinfolding her. She panicked for a moment put clamned down once she felt Madhav's touch on her shoulders.

"Arya kya kar rahe hain aap hame kuchh bhi dikhai nahi de raha hai" She said as Madhav took her hand and lead her outside the room.  They stopped once they came on top of the stairs.

"Hume ankhen kholen kya?" Mahi questioned but intead of answer she felt to arms pick her up as her hands automatically wrapped around his neck.

"Nahi hum aapki ankhen kholenge. Tab tak aap mon rahiye" He said climbing down the stairs as Mahi rested her head on his shoulder.

Madhav brought them to their secret spot without anyone spotting them and kept her down.

"Kya ab hum ankhen kholen??" Mahi asked cutely.

"Oho Maharani aap bahot prashn karti hain tanik rukiye khol rahe hain" He said as he untied the blindfold and moved away as  a beautiful veiw came in her sight.

Several diya were lit up around the place cutting the darkness off the night. A path of flowers was made leading to the swing. Her eyes followed the path only find her love sitting in the midist of all this beauty playing the beautiful melody on his flute.

Her eyes stayed on Madhav as her feet took her towards him. With every step her sorrows and worries desolved as a smile came on her lips.

She sat beside him as he kept playing the flute with closed eyes and rested her head on his shoulder and enjoying the melody through closed eyes.

Madhav smiled and stopped playing his flute as Mahi also opened her eyes and they both look at each other. He caressed her cheek softly and then spoke up.

"Maharani hume pichhle kai dino se dekh rahe hain aap vichlit prtit ho rahi hain" He said taking her hand.

"Apko khone ka bhay sata raha hai Arya. Hum jaante hain ye yudh hona aavashak hai kintu pata nahi kyun hume esa pratit ho raha hai ye yudh bahot kuchh badaldega" She said tightening her grip on him as if he was disappearing right now.

"Ye baat to aapne uchit kahi ye yudh kaafi kuchh badaldega kintu hum aapke paas laut kar aayenge Mahi" He said as Mahi gave him a small  smile.

"Haan aur kal se hum leke yudh ke arambh hone tak hum apna sara samay aap hi ke saath vytit karenge.....vachan hai hamara" He said as Mahi's face lit up.

"Dhanyvaad Arya" She mumbled keeping her head on his shoulder once again as the familiar melody once again started flowing in the air.

End of Flashback

Mahi blew out the last diya making the room totally dark with only source of light being the moonlight falling on the bed. Where surprisingly a very familiar person was already resting.

He observed Mahi closely and clenched his jaw. Of course Mahi was looking like a godess sitting  on the floor and her expressions, if someone else saw it they might think that she is not thinking at all.

But Madhav knew how to read people and emmotions and this was his Mahi he was reading whom he knew more than she knew herself. It was clear Mahi didn't wanted to do all this and getting ready like this has ached her heart to a extreme level.

His eyes shifted to the door when Khalid entered the room. He sat up sttaight and smiled at Khalid.

The divinity and purity his smile once held was now changed to a vicious and creepy feel. He knew he can't go near Khalid but that doesn't mean he can't harm him.

A chill went down Khalid's spine and he looked around if someone was looking at him. Brushing it off as his illusion he stepped towards the beauty he saw sitting on the floor.

"Mahi....Mahi.....Mahi. Hum jaante the ki aap maan jaayengi. Aakhir aap hain to ek stri hi aur ek stri ko sajna sawarna to bhata hi hai chahe wo vidhva hi kyun na ho. Isliye hume to lagta hai ki striyon ko ye unke suhaag ki maut a shok-vok manaa na chhod vidhvaa hote hi dusra vivaah karlena chahiye" He said approaching her as Madhav cracked his neck. This was going to be fun for him.

"Aur wese bhi hum us Madhav se kahi guna behtar hain. Aap vahan thi nahi anyatha hum to uske antim sanskar ki jagh ko apne nikaah ka sthaan banadete" He said and was about to keep a hand on her shoulder when she turned around and slashed his hand with dagger she had with her making him fall down in surprise.

"Humne ye sringar isliye nahi kiya kyunki hume insab mein koi ruchi hai. Hamari ichhaen aur ruchi hamare Madhav ke saath hi yeh duniya chhod chuki hain. Kintu ek vyakti ki aakhri ichha purn karna hamara dharm hai isliye yeh sringar hai" She said as she stepped on his wounded hand and he screamed in pain.

"Sajy ho jaaye Sultan aapka ant aagya hai bahot jaldi aapka raj paath, aapka sihaasan.....aapki shvaasen sab chhen lenge hum" She said applying some more force on the wound.

After which she walked towards the door and stopped before exiting.

"Aur ek baat......hum marjaayenge lekin hamare Maharaj ke alaava kisi ke nahi honge" She said and walked out while Madhav just looked at Khalid who seem scared. He snapped his fingers setting the whole room on fire as Khalid screamed alerting the guards.

He stopped the guards from entering the room by keeping the door shut and enjoyed watching Khalid suffer and at last as Khalid fainted he let the door open as the guards rescued their leader after all it was not his task to take his life but Mahi's.
