Their car stopped in front of the hospital. Daksh hopes out of the car but Vineet didn't came out, Daksh waits for him for a minute then bent down to the window and looks at Vineet

'baitha kya hai, bahar nikal, aur andar chal. Late ho raha hai.'' Daksh said, this time in a calm tone. 

'main nahi jayunga' Vineet declares not looking at him. Daksh was confused at his behaviour but let it go after all his brother is a dramebaaz who can't do anything without any drama.

Daksh stands straight and shakes his head,'ho gaya iska nakhra suru' he sighed and moved to the other side of the car.

'Vineet chal!'' Daksh said as he opened the door of the car.

Vineet closes the door instantly 'meine nai jaana' he shouts and inserted the key in the key hall to ignite the engine but Daksh snatched the keys.

Daksh again opened the door of the car and forcefully pulled him out.

''Meine kaha naa mujhe nahi jana, samajh nahi aata tujhe.'' Vineet yelled over Daksh trying to free himself

Daksh shot him a deadly glare,'' ekdum chup, koi awaj nahi aani chahiye tere muh se aab!'' He ordered glaring at him, Vineet down his gaze.

Daksh held his arm and took him inside, he was almost dragging Vineet. They directly headed to his cabin where Dr. Mathur was already waiting for Daksh.

''Good morning Dr. Shergill, Good morning Vineet!'' Dr. Mathur greets them, Daksh reciprocates but Vineet doesn't, instead he turns away his head.

Daksh made him sit on the couch, Dr. Mathur indicated something to Daksh to which Daksh nodded and moved out of his cabin with Dr. Mathur.

Outside.. 

' kya baat hai Dr. Mathur, apne yun bahar kyun bulaya mujhe' Daksh asked.

'Dr. Shergill meine Vineet ki puri file study ki. Aur uss se pata chala hai ki vineet ko koi problem hi nahi hai, unhe koi mental disorder nahi hai.'' Dr. Mathur exclaims,Daksh was stunned at the revelation.

''Kya? Agar Vineet ko koi disorder nahi hai toh fir har raat ko isse ho kya jata hai!'' Daksh asked, now he's tensed.

Dr. Mathur breathed heavily,'shayad jo Vineet ke saath ho raha hai wo khud nahi ho raha balki koi karwa raha hai!'' Dr. Mathur said, Daksh looks at him narrowing his eyes 

'koi karwa raha hai matlab?'' Daksh asked confusedly.

' main jab vineet ke reports check kar raha tha toh uss mein blood report bhi thi.. 'Dr. Mathur said.

' kya tha report mei??'' Daksh asked.

'aapko vishwas nahi hoga lekin Vineet ko koi high power memory recovery pill de raha hai jis se wo jo bhi cheez bhul gaye hai wo usse wapas yaad aa jaye jald se jald aur dusri taraf koi aur usse dusri medicines de raha hai jis se usse kuch yaad hi naa aaye, issliye Vineet ke saath aisa ho raha hai. Na unhe kuch yaad hi aa raha hai aur na hi wo kuch bhool paa rahe hai. Aur jo ki medicines high power ki hai toh shayad jo unke saath hua hai wo unhe raaton ko dikhai deta hai!'Dr. Mathur exclaims, Daksh was shocked to know all this. He couldn't believe that someone is playing with his brother so easily he doesn't even know this is happening with Vineet. 

' lekin koi aisa karega hi kyun??''  Daksh said, he felt irresponsible.

'wo toh aab police pata lagayegi. Hum ek kaam karte hai, Vineet se puchte hai ki kya unhe koi medicine ya kuch de raha hai. Office mei ya kahin aur?? Dr. Mathur suggested to which Daksh nodded, they really needed to find the truth. 

They entered the cabin, Vineet was sitting on the couch. Daksh moved towards him and sat on the floor, opposite to him.

'Vineet, tu koi aur medicine le raha hai kya?? Office mei ya kahin aur??'' Daksh asked politely but Vineet didn't reply, instead he turned away his face to the other side and crossed his arms around his chest.

' Vineet, main kuch puch raha hoon!'' Daksh asked again and the result remains the same.

' tu jawab kyun nahi de raha hai?'' Daksh questions, he holds his arm and turns him, but Vineet freed his hand and again turned to the other side.

Daksh looks at Dr. Mathur and indicates to him to ask. Dr. Mathur nodded affirmatively, Daksh stood up and Dr. Mathur sat in his place.

Dr. Mathur turned Vineet to himself and asked.

'Vineet' Dr. Mathur sofly calls him, Vineet looks up. 

'kya aap koi aur medicine le rahe hai jo Dr. Shergill ne prescribed nahi ki hai' Dr. Mathur asked politely.

Vineet take a glance of Daksh then replied 'nahi!'' He said briefly.

'tumhe office mei ya kahin aur. Kuch khane ya peene ke badh kuch ajeeb sa mehsus hota hai. Jaise sar dard ya awazen sunai dena ya fir aachanak aankhon ke samne kuch images aa jana.. Aisa kuch?'' Daksh asked. 

Vineet glarea at him but didn't reply.

'Vineet kya aapke saath aisa kuch hota hai' Dr. Mathur asked again.

'mujhe nahi malum!'' Vineet shouts, Daksh was bewildered by the sudden change in his behaviour.

Daksh and Dr. Mathur exchange glances and then move out of the cabin.

'Dr. Shergill, kuch hua hai kya.. Vineet aise kyun behave kar rahe hai?'' Dr. Mathur asked him.

'mujhe bhi samajh nahi aa raha' Daksh replied trying to think what happened to his brother. Just then something strikes his mind, he rewinds what just happened a few times ago. He had a trifle with Vineet not only this he shouted at him. 

Okay, so he's angry with him.

He sighed, 'naraz hai mujh se' he said and moved inside Dr. Mathur followed him.

As they entered, he found Vineet reading a magazine but when he saw him he put down the magazine and turned his face to the other side, pouting like a kid. Daksh and Dr. Mathur smile at his act.

Daksh sat down opposite to him. He turns Vineet's face toward self.

'naraz hai??'' He asked, gazing at him.

In reply Vineet turned his face to the other side.. Daksh again makes him turn, they both are stubborn.

' sorry naa yaar! Main upset tha aur tu baar baar ek hi baat puch raha tha, main irritate ho gaya aur tujh pe chilla diya, I'm sorry 'Daksh apologies. 

Vineet look at him sharply,

' main toh bas tumhara dukh kam karna chahta tha. Nahi batana tha toh naa batate, chillai kyun? paagal kyun bola?'' He asked angrily, as he crossed his arm around his chest angrily and leaned on to the back post of the couch.

Daksh held his ears and said' I'm sorry naa. Maaf kar de 'Daksh said looking at him apologetically, Vineet ignored him and turned to Dr. Mathur.

' Dr. Mathur mujhe bhukh lagi hai, Khane ko kuch millega?? Log pehle khane nahi khane dete fir dante bhi hai.'He said, glaring Daksh, Dr. Mathur nodded and left from there to get something for him.

Daksh pulled him and made him sit properly.

'maaf kar de na yaar' Daksh makes a sad face.

'meine nai karna' Vineet response.

'I'm sorry naa..' Daksh said and held his ears but it wasn't that easy to please Vineet, he just glared at him.

''Arey mere Vinu, apni sweety ko maaf nahi karega' Daksh said dramatically trying to touch his cheek but Vineet jerks away his hand. 

'jyada drama maat kar. Pehle galti karta hai fir sorry bolta hai. Huhhhh' Vineet taunts.

'aary yaar, tu bhi kya ladkiyo jaise nakhre kar raha hai.. Ho gayi galti, mafi maang toh raha hoon, aur kya karoon.' Daksh said, sighing.

'kuch nahi, mere samne se haat.'' Vineet says, rolling his eyes.

Before Daksh could say anything, Dr. Mathur and a ward boy enter with a try which has a burger, some French fries and a coffee. Dr. Mathur indicates to the ward boy to keep the tray on the table. He placed the tray on the table and left the cabin.

Vineet smiles widely to find his favorite foods, not wasting even a minute to grab the burger. While munching his burger, Vineet looked up and found Daksh staring at him. He turned to Dr. Mathur and said.. 

'Dr. Mathur aapko pata hai. Kuch log apne bare hone ka itna faida uthate hai ki pucho mat. Apne se chhoto ko toh insan hi nahi samajhte. Jab mood aaya dant diya, fir ek sorry bolke sab thik ho jayega sochte hai. Aur sorry bhi kaise bolte hai jaise ehsan jata rahe ho 'I'm sorry main upset tha' he imitates Daksh., Ye nahi ki thora pyar se mana le 'Vineet said to Dr. Mathur taunting Daksh, he turned to Daksh and make faces .. 

Daksh laughs at his antics.. He pulled his cheeks..

' awww.. I'm sorry yaar. Le pair pakde tere.'' He bent down and was about to touch his legs, Vineet immediately pulled back his legs and stopped him by holding his hand.

'ye kya kar raha hai' Vineet makes him sit straight.. 

'aab tu maan nahi raha, toh kya karun' Daksh said sadly.

Vineet pulled him in a hug and said 'jaa maaf kiya' he exclaimed. 

Daksh parted the hug and patted his cheeks,'aab kabhi nahi datunga' Daksh said smiling to him.

Vineet smiles broadly, he just can't imagine his life without Daksh and wants him to be by his side but when he scolds him he can't tolerate it, moreover Daksh pushes him away most of the time and it hurts him.

 Vineet again concentrated on his burger.

'aab bata, tujhe office mei kabhi ajeeb laga, sar dard yaa kuch aur' Daksh asked seriously.

'meine kabhi dhyan nahi diya' Vineet replied, as he took a bite of burger.

'dhyan nahi diya kya hota hai. Ye koi choti si baat hai jo tune dhyan nahi diya' Daksh shouted at him. 

Vineet put down his burger and picked up a cushion and hit his face.

'abhi bola tha gussa nahi karega. Aur abhi hi chilla raha hai, kabhi apni baat pe nahi tikta ' he again hit him on his face.

Daksh holds the cushion when he was about to hit him for the third time 'sorry…sorry' Daksh apologies, 

'par teri galti hai. Tujhe dhyan dena chahiye, Ye sab ignore karne ki chiz nahi hai' Daksh said politely in order to make him understand, Vi eet should be a little careful.

'aareeee, dhyan toh tab dete hai jab kabhi kabhi dard ho. Mujhe toh roz sar dard hota hai toh main kya karu uska, award de doon usse' Vineet said sipping his coffee.

'kyaa?? Tu ne mujhe bataya kyun nahi ki tere sar mei dard rehta hai. Abhi ho raha hai kya?? Daksh asked, concerned moving his hand in his hairs.

' arey nahi, abhi nahi ho raha. Aur main tumhe kaise batata. Office jaane ke time nahi hota na sirf wapas aane ke time se hota hai..aur hote rehta hai fir subha tak khud thik ho jata hai.. Waise bhi wo work pressure ke wajah se hota hai, toh tu chinta maat kar' Vineet said with a smile removing his hand.

'tu kha main aata hoon' Daksh said to which Vineet nodded

Outside... 

'hamara shaq sahi tha, Vineet ke office mei hi kuch gadbad hai.' Dr. Mathur said, looking at Daksh.

' hmmmmm, main ye baat inspector ko batana bahut jaruri hai. Ho na ho wo log wahi hai jisne Vineet ko mara tha. Ek baar wo haath laag jaye fir unka wo hal karunga ki yaad rakhenge 'Daksh said hatefully, Dr. Mathur smiles at his words.

' ek baat puchu Dr. Shergill 'Dr. Mathur asked, Daksh nodded as yes.

' kabhi aap bolte hai aapko fark nahi padta Vineet se, usse kuch ho aapko lena dena nahi. Aur dusre hi pal usse kuch ho jaye toh aap bardast bhi nahi kar paate. Vineet ke  zakhm uss se jyada aapko dard dene lagte hai, uske aankho mei aansu nahi dekh pate aap. Fir aap aisa kyun kehte hai ki uss se pyar nahi nafrat hai aapko. Main aapko samajh nahi pata hoon. Aap kyun usse khudse door karna chahte hai?'Dr. Mathur questioned his eyes glued at him.

' bed number 10 ke patient ko check kar lijiye ek baar, Kal uski haalat jyada kharab ho gayi thi'Daksh said, changing the topic and left from there ignoring Dr. Mathur's question.

Dr. Mathur watched him going,''aap bhale hi iss baat ko naa mane par apne bhai se aap bahut pyar karte hai Dr. Shergill aur aap labhinusse khudse alag nahi kar paayenge chahe aap jitni bhi koshish kar le.'' Dr. Mathur mumbled and headed to check on the patient.

...

Daksh entered the room he found Vineet was busy in his phone, Daksh snatched the phone from him.

'ghar jaa. Mom wait kar rahi hongi' 

Vineet first growled but asked,' mom wait kyun karengi, abhi toh sirf 11:30 baje hai. Main toh roz 5 baje ghar wapas jaata hoon' he exclaims 

Daksh sat beside him.

'Mom kolkata jaa rahi hai aur..'he tried to say but his sentence remained incomplete as Vineet cut him in between. 

'maa kolkata jaa rahi hai aur mujhe bataya bhi nahi.. Huhhhh, sab baat apas mei hi kar lo, mujhe kuch maat batao' Vineet said angrily.

'wo tumhe aapne saath le jana chahti hai. Issliye jaa abhi, mom wait kar rahi hongi' Daksh exclaims and sighs deeply. Vineet stared at him.for a few good minutes then left the hospital.

... 

Daksh called the inspector and told him everything that he came to know today.Talking for some minutes he ended the call. He kept the phone on the table and leaned back to the backrest, tears trickled down his cheek. 

'kaash wo sab naa hua hota toh aaj sab kuch thik hota. Ek hi din mei meine apni jindagi ke do sabse ahem log kho diye. Ek Ruhana ko aur dusra tujhe vineet. Agar tune wo sab naa kiya hota, toh naa main tujhe marta, naa ghar se nikalta aur naa hi aaj tera ye haal hota. Teri aisi haalat ke liye main aaj tak khud ko maaf nahi kar paya hoon. Aur aaj jab ye pata chala ki koi teri bimari ke saath khel raha hai toh khud ki nazro mei aur gir gaya hoon main.'' Fresh tears escaped from his eyes. 

''Sahi kaha tha choti ne shayad iss baat ko baith ke suljaya jaa sakta tha, shayad mujhe ek baar puri baat jaan ne ki koshish karni chahiye thi, par meine kuch nahi kiya aur iska anjam aaj tu bhugat raha hai. Tears again roll down  from his eyes. Sahi kaha Dr. Mathur ne, teri zakhmo ka dard tujh se jyada mujhe hota hai, nahi dekh sakta main tujhe dard mei. Par jab bhi main teri aur do kadam badhata hoon, wo yaadein mujhe char kadam piche dhakel deti hai. Naa hi tujh se nafrat kar paa raha hoon aur naa hi pyar, aur naa hi kissi se apna dard dikha paa raha hoon.Ghut raha hoon main.'he closes his eyes and let the tears flow.

The next moment the door of his cabin opened, he immediately wiped his tears. The person entered inside, it was Dr. Mathur.. 

' Dr. Shergill, Delhi se doctor's aa gaye hai. Aapse milna chahte hai 'Dr. Mathur informed him. 

Daksh nodded

' aap unhe bula ke baithaiye, main aata hoon do minute mei 'Daksh said and moved to the washroom.

Dr. Mathur opens the door of the cabin and calls them inside. A mid aged man and a girl of around 27 entered.

Dr. Mathur offered them seat.

' Dr. Shergill bas thori der mei aa rahe hai 'Dr. Mathur informs to which they nodded.

Just then Daksh stepped out of the bathroom. 

' ye lijiye aa gaye Dr. Shergill 'Dr. Mathur said. 

Both the doctors turn back but Daksh eyes wide open in shock. His glasses fall off from his hands. The lady doctor was also shocked to see him. Tears fill in her eyes, but she controls herself.

' Ru.ru.Ruhana 'Daksh said with a trembling voice. He moved forward but she ran out from his cabin, Daksh ran behind her.

Dr. Mathur and the old doctor were bewildered by their sudden act.
