Ruhana was crying and hugging Raunak, her state was vulnerable while Raunak was confused, his heart thumping loudly in his chest as if it would bounce out any minute. The way she's crying scared him.

He parted her, and gazed at her,
'kya hua hai?? Daksh thik toh hai na?? Please mujhe batao??" Raunak almost pleaded.

' Dakshh 'Ruhana utter and again broke into tears.

"You're scaring me Ruhana. Bataogi kya hua hai?? Don't just cry Ruhana, say something!" Raunak shouted, scaring her core and grabbing attention of nearby.

But he doesn't care about anything at the moment because he was scared to hell because if anything happens to Daksh he'll be finished. She will destroy him. He will lose everything and anything that he has earned and he can't afford.

Dr Mathur steps forward, finding Raunak losing his senses, 'calm down Raunak jii!!" Raunak turned at him,"Dr Shergill!!" Dr. Mathur takes a pause and sighs,"Humne operation toh kar diya, wo bach bhi gaye hain lekin.'his sentence remains incomplete as a voice interrupts in between, they (Ruhana, Raunak and Dr Mathur) look at the direction, the voice came from. Vineet was standing in a distance with the support of wall.

Vineet marched towards them with weak steps. His whole body was in pain but he ignored his pains, the pain was nothing before his brother for whom he will happily lay his life. He stood in front of them.

'lekin kya Dr Mathur?" Vineet asked, his voice tensed.

'Abhi aapko aaram ki zaroorat hai Vineet, chaliye.' Dr Mathur tried to change the topic, but he didn't want to involve Vineet in all this.

Vineet stops him,'nahi! Mujhe kahin nahi jana hai. Aap mujhe pehle bataiye Daksh kaisa hai? Wo thik hai na?" He enquired, his brows curled up.

'pehle aap thoda aaram kar lijiye fir main batata hoon aapko sab.' Dr Mathur said, convincingly.

'meine kaha na main kahin nahi jayunga. Aap mujhe batate kyun nahi kaisa hai Daksh!' Vineet shouted, demanding an answer.

Dr Mathur sighed,he know there is no escape from the brothers, be it Daksh Or Vineet, the brother can't see the other in pain or suffering no matter how hard their own time is, they will stand for each other, "Humne operation karke khoon behene se toh rok diya hai, lekin unka bahut blood loss hua hai. Agar do - teen ghante mei unhe hosh nahi aaya toh, "His sentence remain incomplete as words chocked in his throat.

'toh kya?' Vineet asked, scared to lose his brother.

'toh..toh fir hum kuch nahi kar payenge.' Dr Mathur declares and hang down his head.

Vineet was taken aback. He was shocked to learn the truth from Dr Mathur. He feels his legs trembling and was about to fall when Dr Mathur and Raunak held him in time.

'Vineet sambhalo khud ko!' Raunak tried to console him, not because he felt pity for him but because he too wanted Daksh to be fine, for his own sake!

Tears slipped down vineet eyes,"mujhe uske pass jana hai, le chalo mujhe uske pass, please!' Vineet cried.

Dr Mathur nodded and with Raunak's support, he helped him to walk to Daksh room.

With every step, Vineet heart beat raises, his breathe trying to chock him to death. He was scared to see his brother in death bed, he wanted to escape, run away and never come back but how can he leave his brother in such critical condition when he was always there for him.

As they reach out of the Daksh room, Vineet feels his legs freeze. Raunak pushed open the door of the room. They enter inside.

Daksh was lying on the bed unconscious.. Many life equipments attached to his body..

Vineet tried to run towards him but couldn't, he was very weak to do that.
Dr Mathur and Raunak helped him, they took Vineet towards Daksh. Dr Mathur make him (Vineet) sit on the stool.

Vineet was staring at Daksh face, tears were leaking out of his eyes.

Dr Mathur, Ruhana and Raunak moved out of the room.. Dr Mathur excuse himself and moved towards his cabin. Raunak too excuse himself and left the hospital while Ruhana stands at the door of Daksh room, staring them (Daksh and Vineet).. Her eyes were teary to see Daksh in that condition.

Raunak moved out of the hospital. He settled himself in the car and drive back to the hotel. In 30 minutes he reached there.. He hoped out of the car and moved inside the hotel.. Taking the keys of his room from the reception he marched towards his room..

As he approached to his room. Using the key, he open the door and entered inside.. He sat on the bed, sweating badly.. His head was spinning, his body was trembling due to fear..

He wiped off his sweat..

'agar Daksh ko kuch ho gaya.. Toh.. Toh wo mujhe chodegi nahi.. He run his fingers through his hair.. O god! Kya karun main.. Main toh Daksh ko thik bhi nahi kar sakta aur naa usse marne de sakta hoon.. Kya karun kuch samajh nahi aa raha' he covered his face in his palm..

His phone ring at the same time.. He looked at the screen and gets scared..

The same girl who threatened him was calling him.. Raunak didn't pick up the call.. The call gets disconnected. Raunak sighed in relief. She call again.. Raunak thought to cut the call but he can't, it can be dangerous for him..

He pick up the phone from the bed with trembling hand.. He press the green icon.. He attached the phone to his ear..

Before he could say anything, she roar from the other side 'itni der se maar rahe the jo phone nahi uthaya'

'wo.. main.. Wo' his voice chocked in his throat due to fear..

'wo..wo kya.. Lagta hai tum bhool gaye ho main kya kar sakti hoon.. Kaho toh yaad dila Doon' she said in a dangerous voice..

'No, Please.. Raunak begged.. Main.. Main washroom mei tha, issliye late ho gaya. I'm sorry' He lied..

'jhooth.. Safed jhooth.. Nafrat hai mujhe jhooth bolne walon se..' she shouts..

'Nahi. Main sach bol raha hoon' Raunak Said, breaking voice..

'let it be, tumhare jhooth sach ka hisab main badh mei karungi.. Filhal ye batao, mera Daksh kaisa hai' She asked in a soft tone..

Raunak gulped down.. What will he answer now..

'Answer me' she shouted. He shivers by her loud voice..

'wo.. Daksh.. Aaann.. Wo bach gaya hai.. But...' he stops..

'but, what? She asked.

' but.. Wo kab tak rahega ye kissi ko nahi pata.. Agar.. Agar usse 3 - 4 ghante ke andar hosh.. Hosh nahi aaya, toh.. 'he again stops..

This angered her more..' toh, kya?? She shouted..

Raunak closed his eyes 'toh wo nahi rahega' he said fearfully..

But was left surprise, when he didn't get any harsh response from her side, he has thought that she'll become hyper to know the condition of Daksh, but she's silent.. Her silence scared him more, as her silence was more dangerous than her words.. Raunak feels his end is very close to him..

'Hello' Raunak Said in a low tone, gathering all his courage..

'usse kuch nahi hona chahiye' she said in a calm yet dangerous tone..

'agar usse kuch hua, toh main saari duniya ko aag laga dungi.. Koi nahi bachega' she said..

She added further 'uske pass hi rehna, main aa rahi hoon wahan. Apne Daksh ke pass' she said and disconnected the call..

Raunak kept the phone on the bed.. 'aab kya hoga.' he thought and left the hotel.. He drive to the hospital..

Here in hospital..

Vineet was crying, holding Daksh hand. The fear of losing him was unbearable for him.. Though they were of same age, but Daksh has care and loved him like a father.. Daksh was always there whenever he (Vineet) needed..

'tu apna promise nahi tod sakta.. Tu mujhe chod ke nahi jaa sakta.. Main nahi jaane dunga tujhe.. Kahin nahi, kabhi nahi' he hugged him tightly by waist and cried bitterly..

'Please mujhe chod ke maat jaa.. Main nahi reh sakta tere bina..' he cried

Vineet held his (Daksh) one hand, "I know tu mujh se naraaz hai na, par apni narazgi ki aisi saza maat de mujhe sweety please."

He entangled his fingers with his, "I promise main aaj me badh tujhe kabhi pareshan nahi karunga, kabhi kaam karte waqt tujhe tang nahi karunga, please."

He kissed on his palms, tears leaking down Vineet eyes, "main..main kabhi koi sararat bhi nahi karunga, teri saari baat bhi maanunga, par tu walas aa jaa na sweety!!" He sobbed and hugged him from the waist, keeping his head on the side of Daksh's waist. His eyes were fixed on the life machine, where no changes were made which only intensified his sobbing.

'uth na sweety.. Kyun sata raha hai mujhe itna.. Uth naa!!' Vineet jerked him a little,

'Tu bhi papa ki tarah mujhe chod ke chala jana chahta hai? pehle wo mujhe chod ke chale gaye, apne saare promise tod diye unhone, Kitna saare waade kiye the mujh se. Mujhe kabhi chod ke nahi jayenge kaha tha par chale gaye wo mujhe hamesha ke liye akela chod ke. Aab tu bhi chala jayega mujhe akela chod ke, apne saare promise tod ke? Tum sab bahut bure ho? Sab mujhe akela chod ke jaa rahe ho? Main kissi se baat nahi karunga? Kissi se bhi nahi!'' Vineet tried to threaten him, thinking Daksh will sit up in the next moment and hugged him, saying he'll not go anywhere leaving him alone.. But this doesn't happened, Daksh didn't respond..

Vineet sobs loudly finding himself failing at all his attempts, fear engulfed him, he can't afford to lose Daksh at any expense but the situation is not in his control. His condition was suddenly becoming critical, his breath becomes uneven.

Ruhana who was standing at the door rushed inside, she held him before he fall. Vineet looked up at her with teary eyes. He could see tears in her eyes too..

Vineet point his hand towards Daksh 'usse.. Usse.. Bacha lo.. Please.. Bacha lo usse!!' He pleaded panting heavily, tears were flowing down his cheeks.

Ruhana make him sit properly.. She wiped his tears.. 'wo thik ho jayenge Vineet.. Sambhalo khud ko' she said in order to console him but deep inside her heart, she too know that anything may happen to him..

'sachi. Wo thik ho jayega naa' Vineet asked looking at her keenly, waiting for her reply, his head spinning wildly.

Ruhana was staring him blankly, not knowing what to say..

Vineet shook her hand 'bolo naa!' he asked again, demanding an confirmation.

She cupped her face 'sab thik hoga Vineet!' she assured him, things might get messed but she can't risk Vineet fir Daksh, she's a doctor and she needs to protect her patient at any cost, even if she had to lie, she'll do that without hesitation.

The next moment Vineet hugged her, "agar usse kuch ho gaya toh main bhi maar jayunga, main sweety ke bina nahi jee sakta. Papa ke bina sweety ke sahare meine jeena seekh kiya par usko kuch ho gaya toh main nahi jee paunga!!' Vineet expresses, crying his heart out.

Ruhana caresses his back and tried to calm him down 'aisa nahi kehte Vineet, wo thik ho jayenge. Wo tumse bahut pyar karte hai, baki kissi ke liye nahi toh tumhare liye hi sahi par wo jaldi thik ho jaayenge, wo tumhe chorr ke kahin nahi jaayenge. Please don't cry! Tum jaante ho na tumhare takleef se tumhare bhai ko kitni takleef hoti hai, hmm? Agar unhe pata chala tum itne sad the aur itna roye unke liye toh unko bahut takleef hogi kyunki wo toh tumhe hamesha hi khush dekhna chahte hai na, please khudko sambhalo!' she asserts caressing his head and back.

She was trying her best in consoling him but she herself was devastated. She and Daksh parted ways three months ago, they broke up every relation they had but one thing they weren't able to do was they didn't able to forget the past, their beautiful past.. Their  love!! No matter what he says or how she reacts but the reality is his condition kills her hundred deaths, she was dying in bits to see him suffering like this. He might hold grudges against her but that can't stop her from caring and worrying for him, she can't turn stone hearted to him because the broke up, she can't do that, she won't!!
