The Year
I beg your forgiveness, my readers ... whoever's left. Crap kept getting added to my agenda. Days turned into weeks but I will not give up on the two shots per month!
Third Person POV
The Doctor wandered around an alien street market, inspecting things that caught his interest with his glasses perched on his nose. Rose was dragging behind him, less enthusiastically searching for things. She didn't know what most of these bits did and asking the Doctor every time she wanted to know what something does seemed a bit redundant. Not to mention it was January on this
planet (in Earth standards) and the leftover cold kept nipping at her nose. The Doctor soon found something to his liking. A blue one-foot tall Ingorar teddy, what humans would compare to a polar bear. He showed it to Rose then shoved it into her hands, all the while explaining how it has a self-heating pad inside to emulate the animals actual body temperature and how it can help her keep warm as he looked around just a little longer. Rose did not appreciate how long he took to inspect a flavor-changing loli but did appreciate the warmth
coming from the bear. Every month they went to a shop, which was odd because the Doctor had kept away from shops the previous year. He had inspected something, bought it then passed it to her. Not even asking for it back. She kept all the trinkets on her dresser. It ranged from the teddy to engraved jewelry. Though she loved the 'gifts', she wondered: why? When December rolled around the Doctor had grown really tense and nervous around her. She frowned when she would touch his arm and he would jump or she would enter the room and he
would hide a stack of papers. On New Year's Eve, she had gone out, at the Doctor's request, to shop with her mother. When she returned the console room was empty. Must be sleeping for once. When she entered her room, she noticed something was off, something was missing. She looked around and noticed right away that the trinkets were gone. She dropped the bags onto her bed and made a mad dash to the library, where it's most likely he fell asleep in. She pushed the door open, ready to question rapidly. But her words got stuck in her
throat. The Doctor stood there smiling albeit nervously over the trinkets. They were lined up neatly in one row, by date. He had the papers in his hands. He handed them to her, she looked through them but they didn't seem to have any order, just random big letters. He motioned for her to place the letters down. It hit her then, each letter corresponded to a trinket. Ingorar teddy, Levitating ball, Oso, Venice pearl, Enchanted rhinestone, Yoglers diamond replica, O'Briens belt hologram, Ulisus' fire trident extending back scratcher, Rosings garden forever glass rose, Ovop's fire pendent, Snowglobe, Engraved jewelry.
