TENSIONS WON!
Thanks for judging in the Space Awards!
The SPACE AWARDS have chosen and judge nightfury107 has left quite a nice review.
I'll repost here for future reference:
"I didn't see very many spelling mistakes. There were a few grammar mistakes. The plot is very original, I've never seen anything quite like it! It also got me as hooked as soon as I read it. I also like you have theme songs for each of the characters that tells us more about the characters in a new and unique [way]. I love how each character has their own chapter that shows how they grow during the story. This really helps to show their thoughts and feelings and what they think about the situation. I have never read a book with the same interesting plot before, and I love how you used theme songs for each of the characters and one for the book itself! I've never seen anyone do that before!"
Anyways, I initially entered the contest because many of my close friends on Wattpad were tagging me, and some were even badgering me, lol, to enter. NEVER expecting to win however as I haven't really had time to do editing on Tensions and it was one of my stories with the least amount of chapters published to its name. Also, I've been unfortunately unable to write a lot for this story as it's gone from being a description of a dystopian-scifi political sphere dream to a dystopian scifi-romance satire to an original story in its own right.
Nonetheless, I am so thankful for those who have read, commented, voted and supported this story! And plan to continue publishing chapters on a more regular basis as my health improves, hopefully!
Thanks again! And have a great day, y'all!
Author's note: The song above is a little sneak peek of a chapter in Amber's pov soon to be released..*chuckles* For all of those that read the description and wanted politics/revolution/societal reform in this story, don't worry...I got a side of rebellion coming up soon!
A little extra author's note:
Also, as someone who is a minority being mixed Puerto Rican and a woman, I am sad to say that the events the past few weeks have been...frustrating to say the least. Most of my stories feature diversity in its protagonists, characters and even antagonists. (In fact, I can't think of one that doesn't have at least one protagonist that is a minority.)
This story has two diverse protagonists with dark skin, Leila and August. I hope that by seeing more inclusion of diversity in media as well as having more discussions about acceptance of diversity, events like those will not be repeated.
