Illusion

Yamaguchi's POV

"Sigh* You're so cruel, Gem-san."

"Mah mah, it wasn't intentional. Just a 'what if'."

"Please do not do it again."

"Why? Aren't you tired of what they're doing to you?"

"Only Sho-chan seems to care for you and those four"

"Oh, shush. Just a little longer. It's nearly healed. Nice try on the illusions by the way.

Anyways, if they get anymore than that, I'll do something. Besides, I need my energy for the upcoming Duellum Battle. It's in one month."

"Sigh* Fine fine. Whatever you want, I'm just saying."

'Sigh, troublesome ravenette. Just a little longer and I'll be healed.' I thought to myself after Gem-san silenced herself.

"Oh yeah, the duel is actually in three month's time they moved it because most of the sport have training camp in two weeks."

"Why would there be a training camp? The Spring Tournament just ended."

"It's a preparation for the Inter-High, for those who won't be participating in the duel. 'that and the author wants to.' "

(A/n oh shut up Gemini. Also readers, i don't remember which came first so let's just go with it, for plot's sake.)

"Oh, really?"

"Yes, also, WHY ON EARTH AM I THE ONE WHO SEEMS TO KNOW THIS. WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE ACT LIKE YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS. You should really start paying attention to your surroundings, not us."

"Hai hai, Gommenasai Gem-san."

"Chi-chan that's alright, Gem-san is just a cranky old hag. Don't mind her."

"I am not cranky or a hag, just old, tho I'm still gorgeous." Gemini says with a flip of her hair at the end. While I just sweatdropped in reality. Those guys can get to each other's skin.

While they are arguing at the background I was already climbing the stairs of the gym. Not long after we continued practicing. I noticed some apologetical glances towards me. 'hmm, are they gonna kick me out of the team?' I thought bitterly. Even though volleyball is not my favorite sports it's still one of the things I enjoy. Besides, I've grown to care for my teammates.

After a hellish training, Coach called a meeting. Sitting in a circle with Tsukishima-san at my left. Kageyama-san at his other side then Sho-chan and then Nishinoya-san. At my right sat Kara-san (Chikara Ennoshita), then Kino-kun (Kinoshita Hisashi), then Nari-kun (Narita Kazuhito), then Daichi-san, Suga-san, Asahi-san with Yachi-chan and Kiyoko-san standing beside Coach and Sensei.

"In five days, there would be a training camp. Mostly it would be for the preparation for those who won't be fighting for the Duellum Battle in three months. Though everyone's attendance is expected. Staffs said that the Front Pagers would be chosen for the Battle. However, everyone would be allowed to challenge the Front Pagers in an attempt to be one of the students who would participate. That aside I need your parent's signature for these permits. It is stated there that your parents allows you to attend the camp. Bring it back on friday afternoon practice. Understood?"

"HAI SENSEI!!" We replied.

After that we were sent to go home and rest. Specially since tomorrow would be a long day.

Walking back home is peaceful. I was walking behind Tsukishima-san. Taking my time and enjoying the view  of the afternoon sky.

Up ahead, the clear blue skies were tinted of orange, red, and pink. It was beautiful. A few stray birds passes by.

I wish everyday was this peaceful. Not being expected to have these nonsensical illusions of powers. Long before, humans didn't need these. They were fine just the way they were. They were just too stupid to realize it.

These were the time that I would revert back to what I was taught. The lessons and lectures drilled to my brain.

So, not really caring, my pace went to its normal pace which matched Tsukishima-san's steps. If not the same, maybe faster. Though if you were to see us. It wouldn't look like I was in a hurry. More of, a natural pace, fast yet calm. Every step equal to the distance of the last. Each was measured, posture was straight, and my chin held up high. My right hand holding my book bag beside me. And my left in front of my stomach.

Like, auto-pilot, I found my way back home. Not realizing nor caring that I left without saying anything.

There wasn't really much in my mind. Just indulging myself into the beauty of the views the nature has to offer.

Walking inside, I announced my arrival to my grandfather, grandmother and aunt. I saw them in the patio drinking matcha tea. Which was connected to the living room.

Bowing to them when I was close and sitting, at the last space, on my knees. Like how a lady is supposed to.

Now don't get us wrong. It's just that I was born being a hermaphrodite and I have a brother. Which means we already have a boy, besides, I, most of the time, act like a girl. Which I can very much, justify.

"Tada-chan, how is your day?"

"It was normal,granny."

"Is that so?"

"Yes, although we have training camp, in 5 days and I need your signature auntie."

"A training camp? During so close to the Duellum?"

"Apparently, though we don't have a place to stay, the best is it's in Okuda."

"Okuda?!"

"Yes, which is why, I'm thinking of requesting host. Not only will it be a great way to uphold our morals but as well as our reputation. Many have forgotten about us already. This will be a great way to remind the public of our existence."

"While this is a good idea. You have to inform your mother. But not now, we have a guest coming over. You remember Ichika-san right? He's a coach of one of the other teams. Inarizaki if I'm not mistaken. So, wash up and wear something nice. The maids are starting to cook dinner."

"Alright, I'll be upstairs then."

With that I went upstairs to shower and change outfit.
Let's see what fate has in store for me during this dinner visit.
