Meeting Her

When the ambulance arrives at the Hospital, I immediately open the back door and help the paramedics take the blonde to the ER. And her heart beat became irregular. The paramedics immediately took care of her and had given me a manila folder with the very little information we had about the blonde inside. As we turn down a corridor, I see Foreman talking to a nurse, and when he hears the commotion, he turns in our direction and gives me a questioning look. As we approach him, the paramedics continue to push the blonde in the stretcher, but I stop and talk to foreman. "Did you not get the page from house? We have a case." Foreman said slightly angered by my unexplained absence for the night. I glare at him and bite my lower lip. "Yeah? Well I have one too." I said angrily and I shove the folder with the blonde's information into his hands. "This girl needs help, and if you and house won't help her, then I will. By myself." I said turning around and leaving him with a wide eyed stare and the folder still in his large hands. "Fine, but you know House isn't going to like this." He says. I stop and turn around. "Well then, I guess we should get the team together." I said and made my way to the differential room. I sit down at the glass table, and prop up my arm with my elbow on the table and rested my head in my hand.

There was something about this blonde that made me feel something... I'm not sure what.

At that moment House and the rest of the team Foreman, Taub and Chase walk into the room. Foreman throws the folder on the table, and everyone sits down. "So what do we have? A pregnant 18 year old who just happened to pass out? That's not a case." House said in his usual I don't care tone. "I was with her when she passed out. It wasn't just her passing out, there was something else..." I said hoping House would at least try. "My spidey senses are telling me that thirty one was doing something lesbian." House says in a mocking childish way. "Thirty one?" I ask. "Sorry, I thought you did it both ways?" House asked and I immediately blush and can't help myself from smiling. "Who I do is none of your business." I said rolling my eyes and I reached for the folder and started looking through it. "If it involves your fingers and our patient it does." He jokes again. "House, if you aren't going to take this seriously, I'll take care of it myself." I said standing up to leave. "Of course you will take care of her." Chase said with a huge smile on his face and trying hard not to laugh. I glare at him. I walk over to the whiteboard and pick up a marker. "Unconsciousness, abnormalities in heart rate..." I say as I write the symptoms on the board. "What about fainting?" Taub says jokingly. "fainting. What an excellent diagnosis Dr. And that is not a case... well maybe it's a case of the gays, but I'm not, so thirteen, looks like the case is all yours. Have fun while you grope your pregnant girlfriend. Just don't do it on my desk." House says and leaves the room. I bite my lip and glare ahead of me in frustration. "Sorry Remy, I think you can handle this one yourself." Foreman says as he stands up and leaves the room. Chase and Taub follow him. I sigh and get up, taking the folder along with me.

Maybe they were right. Maybe she did just faint. She might just have a concussion which explains the unconsciousness and also dehydrated.

I walk into the blonde's room. She was now in a hospital bed, an IV hooked up to her and still unconscious. I looked around the room to see if I could find her phone, and sure enough I did.

"Now to find out who you really are..." I said quietly as I picked up her phone.

I unlocked it again and sat down on the chair next to her bed. I opened her messages from her mother.

"Emma, please answer your phone. I'm worried about you." I read.

I closed out of that message and looked to see what this Regina woman had said.

"Emma Swan, I'm so so sorry. I never should have done that. I miss you. I need you. Please answer." It said and I sighed.

"So your name is Emma Swan... I like it." I whispered as I looked at the still sleeping blonde. I couldn't help but smile. She was cute. Obviously this Regina had good taste.

I sighed. "Regina is obviously her girlfriend... or was her girlfriend." I said to myself. "Well there goes that chance."

I get up and put her phone back on the table next to the bed and leave the room quietly.

I wake up but my eyes are still closed and put a hand to my throbbing head. I slowly begin to open my eyes, but can barely see through the blur from my throbbing head. I turn my head to my right and see a brunette doctor adjusting my IV. After a minute I begin to see clearly again, and I recognize the doctor as the cute girl who was standing up at the desk while I was going to check into the hotel. When she was done with readjusting my IV, she looked over at me and smiled. "Well look whose awake. I'm Dr. Remy Hadley." She said sweetly. I immediately blushed and turned my head the other direction the other way so she wouldn't notice.

Once I felt the heat from embarrassment leave my face, I turned back around to see her staring at me sweetly, a smile on her face. "So what happened? The last thing I remember was you at the hotel with your girlfriend." I said. The brunette giggled. "She wasn't my girlfriend." She said and I looked down at the sheets below me. "Oh." I said awkwardly. "More like a one night stand thing." And I looked up at her again, feeling the heat return to my face. "So what happened?" I asked again. "Well to put it plainly, you fainted and my night of fun was over." She said. "I'm sorry." I apologized. "Don't worry about it. I wasn't looking forward to it any ways." She said and shrugged. "And the baby?" I asked. "He's fine. Just as healthy as ever." She responded and my eyes went wide at the realization at the use of the pronoun. "He?" I asked. She immediately covered her mouth. "Oh my god you didn't know?" She asked, a nervous look in her eye. I shook my head and placed my hand on my belly. "Regina... my girlfriend, or my ex girlfriend... I don't know... anyways, she wanted to wait for whatever reason." I said. She walked over to me. A curious look of concern on her face. "Mind if I..." I knew what she was asking and I moved to the other side of the bed so she could sit down. She hesitated for a brief moment before sitting down carefully beside me. "Ex girlfriend?" The brunette questioned and I shrugged.

To be honest, I didn't know what Regina and I were anymore. She hurt me. She wanted Robin. Hell she was fingering herself and screaming Robin's name.

"Yeah, I guess... we got in a fight over something that she did. I packed up my things and stormed out. I drove and drove and didn't stop until I got here."  I said.

"Where are you from exactly?" She asked and I sighed. "Can we please not talk about that right now?" I asked. "Yes, of course. I'm sorry." She responded. "So where am I exactly? As in what hospital?" I asked. "Princeton Plainsboro teaching hospital." She answered. "Dr. House works here right?" I questioned and she nodded. "He's my boss... unfortunately. How do you know about him?" "He saved my best friend's life a few years ago." I responded. "Oh ok. He's certainly one of the best. If only he wasn't such an ass." She said and I laughed. "Come on, he can't be that bad... can he?" I asked her. "Before I came in here, he thought I was your girlfriend just because you collapsed right in front of me." She said and I laughed again. "Okay, yeah, that is pretty bad." I said and our eyes connected and we stared at each other with smiles on our faces. I only looked away when I heard a noise coming from the direction of the door. An older man, with dark brunette hair and a cane was standing up against the glass wall and staring at us while he continued to hit his cane on the glass. Remy turned around and rolled her eyes when she saw him before standing up and turning around to fix the wrinkled bed sheets where she was just sitting. "That, would be House." She said irritated. Just then the door opened and House walked in. " and here I was hoping for a little more girl on girl action." He said. "House..." Remy said in a warning tone of voice. "What? It's not my fault that your a lesbian. Besides there are just way too many good lesbian jokes out there for them to go to waste." Remy rolled her eyes again. "Well Emma, this is Dr. House, the arrogant ass I was telling you about." She said glaring at house. "Sorry, I think I here your cat calling... it wants some pussy." House said. "Okay, House, out. Why are you even here? You denied her case in the first place." She said angrily. "And I gave you the case so I could make fun of your lesbianism. Are we done here?" He asked. "House leave." She said once more. "Okay, fine fine, but next time I'm standing in the window, I want to see your tongue out of your mouth not in it." House said and left. "How the hell does he get away with shit like that?" I asked Remy once House left. "He's House. One of the best and possibly the best doctor in the country. He can get away with shit like that." "Well he shouldn't. That qualifies as sexual harassment and if you really wanted to, you could easily make him pay for all the things he's said to you." I said. "I'm not going to worry about it. Life is too short to bother with arrogant ass holes like House." She said and I couldn't help but giggle. "That couldn't be more true." I agreed.

There was a moment of a slight awkward silence between us before I began to speak again. "So when can I get out of here?" I asked. "Just as soon as I'm sure you aren't dehydrated anymore." She said with a weak smile. Almost as if she didn't want me to leave. "You don't want me to leave do you?" I asked with a smirk.  "I never said-" "You didn't have to. I know when a girl is has a thing for me, and you Dr. Hadley aren't an exception." I said with a hint of a smile. She sighed and her cheeks started to turn pink. "Okay, maybe a little." She said. "Then maybe you can come up with an excuse to get me to stay the night." I said with a smile and she smirked at me. "That can certainly be arranged." She said with a wink before walking out of the room.

When she was gone, I sighed and stared up at the ceiling.

What the hell are you doing Swan?

I asked myself. Things aren't going too great with Regina and I at the moment. She's probably already sleeping with Robin right now. Maybe it's time for me to move on too. Besides, one night couldn't hurt. Could it?
