#5: Writing Style
My inspiration for writing is a mutt; a cross between Ronald Daul, John Steinbeck, and Jodi Picoult. I love using description in my work, yet I don't like overdoing it like F. Scott Fitzgerald. My stories focus on the positive and negative aspects of life, with not every story having a happy ending. I love my characters complex, even making the side characters important in some way. The genres I focus on the most are adventure, drama, and fantasy; a delicious blend that is best served in equal portions. Romance is not usually a focus in my stories, but when I do it, I try to make it as realistic as possible. Comedy is a must in at least a portion of each story, and making the audience cry a little bit is a sign of good writing. Imagination is key to success, and the characters strive towards aspects of individuality as well as adversity. The underdog story is one of my favorites, and the school drama is my least favorite.
