Chapter 6

The morning was busy, with us running around eating, packing and getting dressed. Setting our hair took a long time . We finally made our way out of the apartment at the same time two hot flesh stepped out of the next house. My feet was drenched with Abby's saliva. "Close your mouth, will you?", I said closing her mouth.

I could recognize one of the guys to be the one who had gun the other day. The other guy was simply hot, his dirty blonde hair emphasizing his honey eyes. The guys entered the elevator with us, not even recognizing our presence. Jerks. "Shit, I think opened the fridge when I left", Lucas said trying to pull out. Standing in the front, I left the elevator to check on the house and asked them to wait for me at the car.

Lucas left the fridge open plus the lights on in his room. I did a quick check in all the rooms for lights and went out of the apartment to meet Connor and the other guy standing next to him. Awkward that I was alone and uncomfortable Connor was showing his teeth after seeing me. "Hi, Emily. You look beautiful", the guy next to him chuckled but didn't bother to turn and look at me. "Hi Connor, you look good too", I desolved the situation until that. I was hoping for the elevator to come fast to avoid Connor looking at me like that.

"Side chick?", the other guy asked him. My eyes widened at his question, I was this close to argue when the elevator bell chimed. The ride was as unbearable while Connor was taking side glances at me. I slowly moved to front of the area making the boys stand behind me. "Nice booty", the other guy said. What the hell?. Calm down, he is not worth it.  I practically sprinted when the elevator door opened , without a back glance. From a brief moment I saw that douchebag has black hair and a shade.

The car travel was quiet than expected. We find a spot in the parking lot, we were getting out when two BMW's pulled over next to us. Our neighbors got out pretty much like in a movie, with hair wailing with the small wind and background music. It reeled back when Connor smiled at us. "This guy is behaving creepy. Am I that attractive that he keeps looking at me like that?", Lucas said checking himself out. We burst laughing at the parking lot.

We all went apart with various schedule while Matt and I are the only on chose engineering, making us to stick together. Unlike Lucas personality, he chose finance as his major while Abby opted for biochemistry. The first half of the classes were just introductory and general explanation of the courses.

Cafeteria was packed with people occupying every tables. We stood in the line waiting for the food when a group of girls just pushed us off and rushed to the entrance. The four guys were entering among the huge crowd of girls smiling, gushing and ebullient. "Cliche", Matt said shaking his head. I let out a laugh looking at the boys making their way to another group. Not to mention they were hot too.

Food was somewhat okay in the cafeteria, enough to drive the next few hours.

The rest of the day went the same, draining out the left of the energy, but Abby was excited because she spotted a cute and a hot guy in her class. "You should've seen him", she said entering the apartment. "Okay", I dismissed her gently. Boys were the last thing I wanted now. I dreamt about a good income and happy life, never including a boy in it. They said I was being hard to get, reality was, I was too scared to depend on a guy. Being heartbroken had me on edge, so I finally decided to go single as long as I could.

"I hate college", Luke gruntled landing on the couch. "It's the first day Luke", I said opening the fridge taking things required for sandwich. "I know but I like the sound of that", Luke said playfully. I shook my head and started making four sandwiches.

Ever since I cooked, I was looking at various cooking shows to cook them something that wasn't sandwich or bread toast.

The door bell distracted us from eating. I opened the door to see Connor smiling at me. I smiled at him and gave way to get him inside the house. "Sorry to  interrupt guys. I just came to invite you guys for a birthday party. Its this Friday at 7." He invited for the birthday party of the gun guy detailing the events and drinks involved.

As appealing it sounded, I suddenly became disinterested, but it would be rude to tell him that. "Bye Emily", he waved and made an exit.

"Bye Emily", Abby said imitating Connor. "That isn't funny", I said flipping her off. Thinking that I didn't notice, Abby and Luke shared a knowing glance, but I could tell that they were shipping me and Connor. My classmate Chadd texted me saying 'hi'. He was the new guy, who sat next to me during our first class. We got together quickly since our level of awkwardness matched each other. Every one else were getting to know each other but we both were only ones who were seated the whole time. At the end of the day, we exchanged our numbers. I chatted with for an hour before going into a slumber.

The loud knock had me wake up. I was looking around my room frantically, my heart was beating like crazy and a small bead of sweat formed on my forehead. I went out to the living room to find none of my friends were awake. The knock from the front door had me jerk. I slowly moved towards the door, looking through the peephole to find the shade bastard was knocking at my door. I opened the door, the smell of alcohol reeked through him. I closed my nose and asked him what was he doing here. He finally lifted his head from the ground.

"Hey sweetie"
