Louis stood at the door of the steam room for a few seconds before walking in, trying to take a quicky peek through the thick steam to see what he was walking into.

Louis could not see anything through the thick steam that filled the entire room but he heard a few muffled voices

Could it be a trap,could the steam room have a bomb planted or maybe Don set a few guys in there with guns, Louis wondered in the few seconds waiting at the door

Nothing mattered, Louis knew that he had to find Gina,

Louis pushed the door open and slowly walked in

Their were three men sitting casually in their seats staring at Louis without breaking eye contact. All three men were in there late twenties and all of them were wearing swim trunks. Two of them had a smirk on their faces except for one that had a firm look. Louis assumed he was the "muscle" because he was the biggest guy among them.

Fin was one of three men sitting in the steam room but Fin's face was bruised and bloody.He looked like he had just got into a fight. He still maintained his dervish smirk as he stared at Louis.

"Hello officer Louis your late" one of men said that was beside Fin

Louis did not know if he should sit down so he remained standing waiting for directions.

The biggest guy that sat across from Fin got up and walked towards Louis in order to search him.

"Sit down Hal.Don't search him. Officer Louis isn't armed. For goodness sake, He is in a towel. Officer Louis sit we have a lot to talk about. The first thing on the agenda is that Fin would like too apologize to you. I told him not to place a finger on you and he did. Don't worry, I took care of him. You have to excuse Fin. He can be a little jumpy." the stranger said

" Yeah I'm sorry" Fin said while dropping his head in shame.

"That won't happen again. Isn't that right Fin?" the stranger said while grabbing Fin's bloody face by the chin and rising it up. It amazed Louis, how the man talking was such a frail little man but could intimidate some one as giant as Fin.

"No sir it won't happen again" Fin said with eyes full of tears

This man's era was terrifying Louis thought

"Let me introduce myself. My name is Don Carlo. Let's get down to business. "the stranger said while he wiping Fin's blood on his swim trunks

Don extended his hand towards Louis to shake hands with him.

"OK then" Don said seeing that Louis wasn't going shake his hand.

"Police Chief Joe is dead. And yes I did kill him. Mainly because Joe would.....lets say come to a agreement with me. Joe got greedy." Don said very casual.

Louis could not say a word. He sat in shock as he meditated on the words that Don just said. A few seconds went by without any reply

"Why would you tell this?" Louis asked trying to hold back his emotions.

"Well Louis I want you to be the new police chief."Don said with joyful smile his face.

Louis sat paralyzed with confusion without saying a word once again.

"Judging by your face. I know you think that this doesn't seem unlikely but I make things happen.Nearly everyone at the police department works for me. Isn't that right boys?" Don said

" Right" Fin said while flashing his badge

"Right" Hal said while also flashing his badge right after Fin.

Louis' fear grew after Hall and Fin revealed that they were police officers. How could Don have that much power that he has police officer guarding him. How could these officers openly reveal themselves. Don was truly a man too be feared Louis thought.

"So let get this right. You killed Joe and now you want me to become chief and play ball, What makes you think that I am going to play ball? Louis asked

Don started laughing hard without responding.

"I stand for the law! I protect and serve this community! I won't let you destroy Greenleaf! Louis said while rising up from his seat. "Officer Fin and Officer Hal, I am going to get enough evidence to take you down and everybody else"Louis shouted as he angrily pointed at both men and towered above them. Don sat in his seat with a smile pastured on his face still laughing a little, without any reaction from Louis' offensive position.

Don started to laugh again much louder, Fin and Hal joined in with him.

"So was you protecting or serving when you smashed Ben's skull into the ground and dumped the poor bastard's body on the bench?" Don said while trying not to laugh more.

Louis lost all of his momentum. Louis once again and remained paralyzed in front of three men. How could he know what happened .Was Don a god Louis thought.

" Hal can you please assist officer Louis back down to his seat" Don said calmly

Before Louis could react, Hal raised up quickly.and swiftly kneed Louis in the stomach, sending him crashing back into his seat. Louis remained seated holding his stomach.

"Yeah that same night I sent two men to take care of Ben.You beat them too it.Now Lou, it is not matter of if your going to play ball, it's how are you going to play ball. I have big plans for you Lou.". Don stood up and walked in front Louis and placed his hand gently on Louis' shoulder as he still gripped his stomach."We won't stop at police chief. Lou you going to be major of Greenleaf. I'm going to make you a rich and powerful man."

"And what's in it for you? Your going to destroy this city." Louis said while still recovering from Hal's attack.

"Destroy this city no! I love this city.I am looking to work beside you in the shadows. I want too clean up Greenleaf get rid of all these criminals. All these gangs bangers and crack dealers!" Don shouted

"What do you need me for? You can shoot up your rivals on your own" Louis asked

" Well that's the thing I want clean up using unauthorized methods and I don't want backlash from it." Don said while sitting back down.

"You mean killing them and get a get out of jail for free card" Louis replied

"This city is full of "Bens". Yes I am willing to take out all the "Bens" of the world.Ben and people like him do not deserve breathe Louis. You think its about money huh Louis? Its not,I have money......" Don said

" Go to Hell Don! I don't care if get the death penalty. I am not going to allow you too do it" said Louis cutting off Don

" Ok then. How about I give nurse Flowers the death penalty or does that not matter either. How about I don't kill her but instead go down her entire family tree. One by one. Keep her alive long enough to see each one die. Then I personally put two bullets in the back of her skull." Don said while patting Louis gently on his shoulder.

Louis eyes started too water up

"I don't want that.Look at me Louis lets take back Greenleaf"Don said with a serious look on his face extending his hand again for a hand shake.
