CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE: LOOKING FOR SIGILS

Allison opened the door to a bedroom and walked inside in order to search for the symbol.

"Someone went through a lot of trouble to hide this thing" Allison said "How big is it supposed to be?" Viktor asked as he looked around "You know, dear old Reg didn't say" Allison said "Really? Hm. That's surprising. We figured you'd know more about his plan" Five said "Sorry, what's that supposed to mean?" Allison asked as she turned to look at him "I saw you and him in the White Buffalo Suite during the wedding" Five said "I don't know if now's the right time--" Viktor said "You know, I heard that you blacked out last night" Allison said "I did, and it took me a while to remember what I saw, but I do remember, Allison" Five said as he approach her.

"You and Reginald made some kind of deal" he said and Allison chuckled "What did you agree to?" he asked "A deal?" she asked "Mm-hmm" he said with a nod "With Dad? Please tell me you're joking" she said and Viktor shook his head "He's not" he said and Allison let out a scoff.

"Answer the question" Five hissed and Allison let out a scoff again "Quit scoffing it off. It's just making me seem more right than I already am" Five said.

"You're out of your mind" Allison said "Nice try. I know that trick and it doesn't work on me. You and Reginald made a deal, now Luther and my girlfriend is dead" Five said, trying to hold back his tears "Y/n and Luther was killed by whatever that thing is" she said "And Klaus?" Five asked "He didn't make it into the tunnel" Allison said "You know, your deal is costing people their lives, your family's lives" Five said "Do you really think that I made a deal with Dad to kill Luther, Klaus, and your bitch of a girlfriend?" Allison asked and you could see the anger rising in Five.

He clenched his fist and dug his nails into his palm which caused them to bleed a bit.

He wanted to hurt Allison, but he had to stay his ground.

Allison glanced at Viktor who looked away and Allison looked back at Five who stared calmly at her.

"I'm done" Allison said "Done with the deal with Reginald, or done with us so we're next on your little hitlist?" Five asked her.

"Listen I get it, you are grieving over your girlfriend's dead, you're upset, I get it, but that doesn't give you the right to blame me for this" Allison said but Five just raise a brow.   

"I'll meet you in the lobby" she said as she walked past Five and out of the room "Hey...hey, wait, no" Viktor said as he tried to call Allison but she kept walking and Viktor sighed.

"Allison...No, just listen to me" Viktor called out as he ran after her.

Five let out a sigh as his left hand was holding the necklace.

He took a deep breath before he stepped out of the room but then he froze when he saw that he had being transferred to a different floor.

"Viktor? Allison?" he called out as he looked at a wall "Okay" he said before he turned around and started walking the other way with a sigh while the sound of energy fluctuating was heard.

He walked over to another wall and push it to see if was just an illusion but it wasn't "All right, so now the fun starts" he said.

"No, I'm done with everyone and your conspiracy theories" Allison said as she walked down the hallways towards the elevator while Viktor followed behind "Come. Just listen to me" he said.

"Allison pressed the button before she faced Viktor "Why should I, huh?" she asked "You're the one who votes to stay and die. You're the ones who said to hell with family and the whole universe. I'm the only one fighting to save both" she said "We just need to know what Dad is planning before more of us get killed" he said.

But then Allison moved her eyes behind him, to check the hallways "Where the hell is Five?" she asked and Viktor turned around to look down at the empty hallway "He was right behind me" he said before he walked into the room where they left Five

"Five?" he called out "Five?" Allison called out as she walked past Viktor to check the other hallways.

The elevator stopped on the 6th floor before the door opened and Diego and Lila stepped out.

Diego was holding the harpoon gun as he was on the lookout for the guardian.

Diego looked at Lila as she walking next to him. "Hey. We're gonna make it out of this mess, all right? The three of us are gonna be fine" he said "And then what?" Lila asked "And then we'll be a happy family" he said "No, we won't" she said "Is this more of that bullshit proving-yourself-to-be-a-good-dad stuff? I'm over it, all right" he said and grabbed her arm as they stopped "You passed, okay" she said.

"Oh, this isn't about me, huh? Oh, you're scared" he said and she chuckled "It was easier with Stan, okay? You could have just said 'sod off' and then I wouldn't have had to tell you about the baby or asked you to stay with me. Why tell the truth when you can mindfuck someone into getting what you want without having to be truly vulnerable?" she asked and he place his hand on the back of her head.

"Do you know how crazy that is?" he asked "But what if I fail our baby like...my mum failed me?" she asked "Then you won't. Because behind the crazy bullshit, there's a good and decent person" he said "You sure?" she asked "One thousand percent" he said causing her to let out a small laugh and Diego smiled before the two kissed.

While they were kissing, Diego pulled the trigger and the harpoon in the rifle shot up into the ceiling.

They pulled away and Diego put down the rifle before he grabbed her hand "Come on" he said before the two walked down the hallways.

But as they turned around the corner they were transferred to another floor causing them to stop when they saw the elevator "Did we end up back at the same elevator?" he asked as they looked confused at the elevator.

Sloane and Ben was on the on the 5th floor.

Sloane was taking a panting off the wall, searching for the sigil while Ben was standing leaning against the wall.

"Oh, don't forget to check under the plants" he said "Get off your ass and start inspecting the walls for hiding compartments" Sloane said "Hey, uh" Ben said and knocked on the wall "Here's a wall, and uh...Oh, here's another wall" he said as he tap on the walls he walked past.

"What the hell is wrong with you? People are dying left and right, and you're acting like a sulky teenager" she said as she opened a door to a room to check for the sigil.

"You sound just like Dad" he said and she snapped her head at him as she closed the door "Why is it so important for Dad to like you? He doesn't define you or us. We made our own mark in this world without him" she said "As the Sparrow Academy, but they're gone now" he said "He was never a Sparrow. He was our dad, and a shitty one at them. You don't need him" she said "Easy for you to say when you're already got a new family" he said "And the best part of that family just died" she said as she was trying to hold back her tears.

Then Five came walking around the corner "I can't believe I'm saying this. I'm actually glad to see you guys" he said and they looked at him "What's wrong?" Sloane asked "The hotel is changing. I've been walking around in circles but it's like the thing is alive" Five replied

"We should get to the lobby" Ben said "Tried it. Whatever direction I choose, I end up in the same spot" Five said "Or maybe you have no sense of direction" Ben said and Five furrowed his eyebrows "Okay, lead the way, Magellan" he said and Ben scoffed before he walked past Five.

Five and Sloane shared a look before they followed after Ben.

But then the whole hotel started shaking and metal scraping was heard meaning that someone has rang the bell, causing everyone to stop in their track.

"Does no one listen to me?" Diego asked "No, sweetie, we don't" Lila said.

Bright yellow lights shone through the ceiling and onto the floor and walls.

Ben, Five and Sloane turned around a corner and they saw a guardian.

The guardian had thick armor on, it kinda looked like a huge man who was dress as a samurai.

It started snarling at them as it was swinging with it's ninja sword.

"Really? A samurai?" Ben said as it growled at them.

Then Sloane let out a battled cry before she charged towards the guardian with only one thought and that was she was going to kill that thing that had killed her husband.

She jumped up into the air, flipping over the guardian before landing behind it and the guardian turned around before swinging its sword towards her but with her powers she stopped it.

"Revenge looks good on her" Ben said "Would you shut up and help us kill this thing?" Five said before he walked over and grabbed an axe that was hanging on the wall before he blinked over to it.

Five let out a grunt as he hit the guardian with the axe causing metal to make a clinging sound.

Ben just watched as Sloane and Five was fighting against the guardian.

Allison had being hit on her arm by one of the guardian and she was holding her hand on the wound as her and Viktor ran into the bathroom, trying to hide from the guardian.

"Okay" Viktor said as he closed the door while they were both panting before they walked farther in.

"We need...We need to tie off that wound" Viktor said as he grabbed a towel before he ripped a part of it off. "You were right, okay? I made a deal with Dad" Allison said and Viktor looked at her "Luther, Y/n and Klaus?" he asked "No, I had nothing to do with that. I swear" she said and he wrapped the towel around her arm where the cut was.

"Why tell me now?" he asked "Because I need you to believe me, okay? That I did this for all of us. Luther, Y/n and Klaus too" she said "What did he offer you?" he asked "I need you to trust me" Allison said and Viktor looked away "Look at me" she said and he looked at her "If we get through this, everything's gonna be okay" she said.

Suddenly the door was kicked down and they saw the guardian with the sickle and it throw something at them causing the two to ran in different directions.

Diego and Lila had being attacked by another guardian and they managed to get into the elevator and get away.

The elevator door opened and Diego peek out before they walked out.

"I told you to go, okay?" he said to Lila as they were walking down the hallway "And let you die alone? What's the fun in that?" she asked "And the baby?" he asked "You let me worry about that" she said "No, I'm its father" he said "Who has no part in the gestation of the baby for the next six months. Nice try" she said "Okay. So I can't convince you to sit this one out?" he asked "Finally, you're getting it" she said "You're right. I do" he said and she chuckled.

But then he pushed her into a small room before locking the door "What do you think you're doing?" she asked "I'm protecting my family" he said "No, no, no, no. Diego, don't leave me" she said "I'm sorry" he said "You promised we'd always be together" she said "I know, I know" he said "Diego, no, no, no, no, no. Don't do this" she said with tears in her eyes while she was banging on the door "When the baby gets here, tell him or her about the man I was. The man I tried to be" he said "No, no, no, no, no, Diego. No, no" she said as he walked away.

Five had suggested that they cornered the guardian in the laundry room.

So now Five, Ben and Sloane were in the laundry room, hiding behind some washing machines.

"You've hit him with your axe five times. He should be dead by now" Ben said to Five "The armor. It's like hitting cement" Five said "There's a space between the backplates" Sloane said "We need to get behind him" Five said and Sloane nodded "Let's kill this thing" she said before she got up "Wait--" Five said "Hey, asshole" Sloane said as she ran over in front of the guardian and Five blinked away.

Sloane used her powers to run up against the wall, but then the guardian threw a knife towards her, hitting her in the waist causing her to wail in pain before falling to the floor.

The guardian was roaring as it walked over to Sloane and it was about to swing it's sword towards her but then Five appeared behind it before he swung the axe at the guardian.

But before the axe to hit the guardian, the guardian spun around suddenly, before punching Five across the face, causing him to let out a grunt as he felled the floor.

The axe clattered to the floor next to Five and he looked up at the guardian as it turned around from Sloane, turning its attention to him.

The guardian growled as it walk closer to Five and it began snarling as it swung its sword towards him.

But then Ben came walking up from behind the washing machines with the tentacles coming out of his stomach.

He let out a battle cry as the tentacles wrapped around the guardian causing it to growled.

He grits his teeth as he started straning as he was trying to squeezed the guardian.

But then it managed the guardian to break loose, cutting the edge of the tentacles off causing Ben to wails in pain as he fell back onto the washing machines.

The guardian started walking towards Ben but then Five grabbed the axe before he let out a yell as he swung the axe, hitting at the spot between the backplates causing the guardian to fell down on its knees before it felled dead on the floor.

Five looked at Sloane and Ben before nodding, glad that they have survived.

Viktor was walking down the hallways "Five, Allison" he said trying to find them.

But then the sound of energy building up was heard before a door was blast opened causing Viktor to turn around.

"Finally, someone with a power worth mimicking" Lila said as she walked out of the small room "Lila? Why were you in the closet?" Viktor asked.

But then there was the sound of footsteps approaching "I'll explain later" Lila said as she saw the guardian at the end of the hall.

The guardian snarled at the two "Shit" Lila said before she walked over to stand next to Viktor "I'm tired of running" he said "Me too" she said and the two looked at each other before getting ready.

The two then both starting glowing as they both powered up "This feels oddly familiar" Lila said "At least this time we're not aiming at each other" Viktor said as the guardian started running towards them.

The two looked at each other before they both shot out a white bright ice blue energy blast wave forwards, towards the guardian.

The blast hit the guardian making it get thrown backwards before landing dead on the floor.

Lila let out a small laugh "Let's go" she said before the two left.
