CHAPTER FORTY-SIX: A VILLAIN

Five's blazer, suit, tie and shoes were laying on the floor together with your jacket and shoes.

Your back were pressed tightly against Five's chest and his legs were hooked around yours as you are both laying in bed in that bedroom that used to be Five's old room.

You should be happy right now, but you keep thinking like something is wrong, like it's not over.

"Is something on your mind?" you can feel Five's warm breath in your neck, causing you to smile.

"Nothing much" you try to shrug it off but Five is not having it. His hands go down to your stomach and when he starts to tickle you which 'cause you you to start laughing.

You try to wriggle yourself out of his grip but he doesn't let you, "Stop!" you continue laughing while trying to wriggle away.

Having to, you turn around. Five's face just inches from yours and a smirk is plastered upon his face.

"Tell me" he said in a demanding tone "It's nothing" you tell him, not wanted to talk about this subject with him.

"It's not nothing. I can tell that by the way that frown is upon that forehead of yours. I want to be here for you. We've been apart too long and too many times. Let me be here for you, please" he said.

"Okay" you said, taking a deep breath "I have a feeling, telling me that this isn't over and more danger will come and I'm scared that it's true" you said as you moved your eyes to look down "Hey" he said as he put his left hand on your right cheek "Look at me" he said and you looked at him "It's over, we won, so all we have to do now, is find a house where the two of us can start a new life together, get married" he said with a smile and a positive voice.

"But I'm still scared" you said "I'm here, okay. And I'm not leaving you again. I'm gonna stay by your side all the way, all the time. I'm going to follow you for the rest of my life, remember" he said and you let out a small smile "I'm going to keep you safe and protect you and nothing is gonna happen to you, not as long as I'm here. No one is gonna hurt you again. I will be here, all the time, everyday, forever" he said as you looked into each other's eyes "You promise?" you asked "I promise" he said and you smiled before you moved closer to him, laying your head on his chest and he wrapped his arms around you before he kissed you on the top of your head.

Five's face light up as he stared into your beautiful gentle Y/e/c eyes.

You were his sun, you were the only one who could turn his dark days into bright again.

You were his hope and happiness. He needs you, you were keeping his sanity and you were giving him strength.

He wanted to be with you and you wanted to be with him. You both want to hold each other's hands to show that you are never leaving each other, 'cause you won't.

You had become the person who made him and his heart smile. You had become the air that he breathe.

You had unfroze his clod heart.

You were the first to actually see through him and how he really felt.

You were the only person he ever opened up to. He was so soft deep down. He cared so much and you were the only one who ever saw that side of him, even so he couldn't see in himself. You made him feel less cold and alone.

Your face light up as you stared into Five's beautiful green warm eyes.

Everytime he looked at you with those eyes, you felt the world spinning and you felt a warm feeling through your body.

You didn't see a stubborn irresponsible person, you saw a broken but handsome, kind and soft guy that need to feel loved and that he is enough.

Both you and Five was happy, that you were not alone, that you had each other by your side and no matter what the world would throw at you, the two of you will find a way to overcome it as long as you got through the things together.

"Y/n, you have painted my world in color when I thought it would be gray forever. You are the only one who has ever being able to find me" he said and you smiled "I promise that I will always be here for you Five" you said.

"I love you" you said "I love you too" he said "I love you more" you said "I love you the most" he said with a smile and you smiled before you connected your lips with his again.

"As long as we're together, I know that our future is going to be so incredible. I can't even imagine the things we are going to see, the places we will go and the joy we are going to feel" he said and you smiled.

"Now, try to get some sleep. You need it. I'm so proud of you and I know that your dad will be just as proud" he said as you pulled away and you nodded.

You then moved your head away from his chest before you both turned around and he wrapped his arms tight around you while pressing your back against his chest.

"From now on. We will always be together" he said "Promise?" you asked "Promise" he lay a kiss on the top of your head.

Then you both closed your eyes as you were both laying in the bed cuddling. Five had his arm so tight around you, that it would be impossible for you to be taken away from him or disappear without him feeling it and waking up.

The sound of distant explosions booming was heard as Luther was sitting on the edge of the Academy, looking down at a book he have found in Sloane's room.

He let out a sigh as he looked up and out on the destroyed city.

"Are you avoiding me?" Sloane asked and he turned around to look at her.

"Busted" he said and she chuckled as he turned around before he jumped down.

He then cleaned his throat as he walked over to stand in front of her.

He let out a sigh as he showed her the book "My travel guide?" she asked as she looked up at him.

"I, uh, made you a new list" he said and she grabbed it "It's all your favorite Italian monuments that are still left standing, color-coded by region, of course" he said with a smile and she let out a soft chuckled "Nerd" she said with a smile.

"Well, you just saved the world. You deserve to finally see it" he said and she looked at him before looking back down at her book, flipping through the pages.

"And...I'd like to see it with you" he said and she stopped when she spotted a ring in between two pages.

She picked it up to see it was a golden ring with a moon stone.

"I, um...I made it myself. I couldn't exactly find a diamond on short notice, but the stone is moon rock. Um, I brought it back with me, and I've kind of been keeping it for a special occasion, and, well, I--" "Luther, it's beautiful" she said as she looked at him and he smiled.

He then lifted his hand and he slowly took the ring before he took her hand and slowly got down on one knee.

"Sloane, will you marry me?" he asked and she smiled before she nodded and chuckled causing Luther to smile.

Luther slid the ring on her finger and while looking at each other he got up before they kissed.

Diego was sitting up on the second floor, looking at the paintings that was hanging on the wall when Lila walked over to him.

"Sorry about your robot mum" Lila said "She wasn't my real one" Diego said "Okay" she said before she sighed "Sorry I lied to you about Stanley. I miss him too, you know. I liked that little shit and his wonky ears" she said and he looked at her "He deserved better" he said "Yeah, he did" she said and he looked back at the paintings.

"Do you know why I brought him to you?" she asked "Because you're a sociopath?" he said "No. Because I'm a coward" she said and he looked at her "Dropping a kid in your lap and seeing if you're reject us and run felt safer than telling you the truth" she said "Which is?" he asked "I'm pregnant, Diego" she said.

There was a few second of silence before he got up and was about to walk away but she stopped him "Diego" she said, grabbing his arm and turned him around to look at her.

"I'm pregnant" she said again and his eyes widened as he look at her knowing that she was telling the truth.

"I'll pee on whatever stick you want later, but for now, please, can you just..." she said before they both sat down and he sighed.

"My mum put a bullet in my heart. Did you know that?" she asked "Yeah. Five told me. How did you know?" he asked "Infinite Switchboard. I missed your stupid face, so I snuck in to get a glimpse of you. And instead...Thing is, I'm not gonna be very good at this...mother thing. Apples and trees. But I saw you with Stan, and you're a good dad" she said "What do you want from me, Lila?" he asked "Okay. Truth? I think you should run from me" she said and chuckled "I, um...I think I'm a bloody mess. And I think that someone who's...who never had a family is in no position to ask for one. But that's what I want. With you" she said.

There was a few second silence before he spoke up "Can I think about it?" he asked and she chuckled "Yeah. Of course" she said and he sighed.

Five knocked on a door before he opened it and enter to see Viktor sitting on a couch "Hey, want some company?" Five asked "Sure" Viktor said "Okay" Five said and closed the door before he walked farther into the room.

"Where is Y/n?" Viktor asked "She is resting. She is very exhausted after everything she had being through in just those few days" Five said "Wouldn't she freak out when she wake up and see that you are with her?" Viktor asked "I couldn't and wouldn't wake her and I also left a note, saying that I would be with you" Five said "You love her?" Viktor asked "More than anything. I would die before I let anything happen to her. She is my center point" Five said.

"Hey, that was really nice of you. Kill Mom so Diego didn't have to" Viktor said as Five walked over to the desk "My God. We are a weird family, aren't we" Five said as he grabbed a small box on the desk "Sorry. Yeah, I heard it as I said it" Viktor said "It's all right" Five said as he sat down on a chair next to the couch.

Five put the box on the coffee table before he opened it and exhales sharply as he took a cigar out of the box, before putting his right leg over his left.

"What are we gonna do about Allison?" Viktor asked "We're all worried about Allison. I'm scared for you" Five said "Seriously?" Viktor asked "Yeah" Five said as he leaned back.

"She killed someone. I was trying to do the right thing and save Harlan's life" Viktor said "Do you know why I wanted this last jump to work so badly?" Five asked "Because you're tired?" Viktor replied "Because I slaughtered a boardroom full of people to buy our way back here. Because that is how far I'm ready to go, to protect and keep Y/n and my family safe" Five said "Shit" Viktor said.

Viktor hasn't realized just how much Five had done for them until now. He didn't know what he did so they could get back. He hasn't realized just how much Five sacrificed and lived through for them.

"Little advice from someone who's been there?" Five said and leaned forward a bit "Don't do the math. That equation does not exist. Theres no 'save five Harlans for every two Claires' formula. People like us, we will never save enough lives to make up for the ones that we take" he said "I don't accept that" Viktor said "Then you'll drown. This is the price of being powerful. Sometimes we step on ants. And the sooner you face that, the safer we'll all be" Five said "What is that supposed to mean?" Viktor asked "It means you're very dangerous, Viktor Hargreeves. The decisions you make impact the entire world. So no matter how benevolent they may seem, you don't get to make them alone" Five said and Viktor looked down "You know what they call a superhero who works alone and doesn't listen to anybody?" Five said before taking a deep breath.

"A villain" he finishing and Viktor looked at him.

"I am not a villain, Five" Viktor said "And, Viktor, I hope to God you never will be. But that remains to be seen" Five said and put the cigar back in the box before he got up with a sigh.

"No more going rouge. If you ever need anything, I'm always here for you, so is Nat. But lie to us again..." he said before taking a deep breath.

"Viktor, I'll kill you myself" he finished and Viktor looked at him.

Five knew that it was cruel to say that to his own brother, but he meant it.

Viktor was growing too careless to be the hero he once wanted to be. Therefore Five couldn't risk him becoming a villain.

If Viktor's action will become a threat and put those people Five love in danger especially you. He will have no other choice than to kill everyone who is a threat or put the rest of Five's family especially you even if it means killing his own brother to protect you and the rest of his family.
