CHAPTER FOURTEEN: DONE WITH IT

Five had travel to 1982 to carry out his mission.

He looked down at the paper The Handler has giving him as if staring the address was going to change anything.

He then glanced up before he put the paper back in his pocket.

The sound of people chattering was heard as he walked past a line of parked cars and a man in a the driver seat of one of the cars, opened the door causing Five to move a bit so he didn't get hit.

He entered building before looking around while he fixed his blazer.

He then turned left before he walked over to a blonde woman that was standing by a table, writing something down on a black board in white letters.

He stopped near the woman that was leaning over a table and he leaned down trying to get the woman's attention "Excuse me" he said and the woman jumped back slightly.

"Uff da" the woman said, smiling while looking at him "You snuck up on me there. If you're looking for the cookies we don't put 'em out till 3:00" she said "I can hardly wait" Five said in a ionic and emotionlessly way.

"Uh, do you happen to know where the Midwest Soybean Society is meeting?" Five asked as he looked around the room while messing with his hands "Sure do. Muskellunge Banquest Room" the woman said as she pointed to a door that lead to a hallway making Five to look in that direction "You looking for your mom? She's in for the convention?" the woman asked but Five didn't answer as he looked down the hallway and spotted a vending machine.

While still looking at a vending machine that was standing in the hallway, Five reach his hand into his pocket "Hey, could I get some change?" he asked as he pulled out some money from his blazer pocket before he handed them to the woman.

"Oh, sure, I'll just look in my purse" the woman said as she took the money before she unzipped her fanny pack that was wrapped around her waist.

She put the money in it before she started riffling through the coins while counting them.

Five exhales sharply as he fixed his blazer's collar "Only a nickel and a couple of dimes" the woman said as she kept searching "Oh!" she said as she grabbed a coin "You...are...in...luck, mister" she said before she put the coins in Five's palm who closed his hand before he chuckled softly as he moved his hand.

"You know, some say the best luck is to die at the right time" he said and the woman's face dropped.

Five looked down on the money in his hand as he were walking down the hallway while staring at the door to the room where Midwest Soybean Society meeting was.

He then stopped at the vending machine and he put some coins in the vending machine before he press the numbers on the machine and clicked another button to buy the Fudge Nutter.

Five then furrowed his brows as the Fudge Nutter got stuck in the vending machine. He then press the buttons again before he bent down and began messing with the flap at the bottom of the machine before he try to put his arm up in the opening.

He press another button again just more aggressive but nothing happen which cause him to let out a scoffs as he kept pressing the buttons harder this time.

He let out scoff punching on the numbers again harder this time.

He grabbed the sides of the machine "Come on" he said as he grabbed the sides of the machine before he started shaking it.

He turned before hitting the machine with his shoulder up against the non glass part of the machine roughly.

"Stupid" he said as he grunted while he continued to hit his body against the machine.

He then put his hands on each side of the machine "Stupid mother-Fudge Nutter!" he said as he started shaking the machine more violently.

"Fuckin' Fudge Nutter!" he screamed while grunting as he continued shaking the machine while banging his shoulder against it.

He then started shaking it more as he kept grunting causing some of the candy to fell down from the shelves.

He kept grunting as he aggressive kept shaking the machine more violently causing the food in the machine to fall down from the shelves but not the Fudge Nutter.

He could feel that he got more angry and aggressive, so he took a step back before he threw a kick at the machine's glass causing it to crack.

He scratched the back of his head as he looked around to see if anyone saw it.

He could feel that he now was aggressive enough to kill the board.

He then walked closer to the door, walking next to a banquet table. And as he walked past the table, he slid his finger along the frosting of the cake that was standing on the table before he put his finger in his mouth to taste the frosting.

Five stopped by the door and looked up at the plaque above the door.

'MIDWEST SOYBEAN SOCIETY'

He looked around trying to spot something to use as a weapon and his eyes fell on an axe that was hanging on the wall. He walked over to it before lifting it off the hooks.

He tightened his grip right below the blade before he walked over to stand in front of the door.

Five sighed as he gripped the axe with both hands, before he looked back at the door, he then put his finger in his mouth one last time to licked the rest of the frosting off his finger.

"This is for you Y/n and for my siblings, for saving the world" Five said before he took a deep breath and entered the room.

Every member of the Board of Directors was sitting on a long wooden table. Their attention was to the head of the Temps Commission Board of Directors AJ who was sitting at the edge of the table.

AJ was a gold fish in a bowl that was on a robotic human like body.

"Let's move on to article seventeen, please" AJ said.

As soon as Five enter the room holding the axe ready to swing, AJ got up from the chair that was on the edge of the table while he leaned forward.

"You!" he breath out loudly as he put his hands on the long table in front of him and everyone gasped as they looked at Five.

"What's he doing--" a woman asked and they all looked at Five who was standing by the door holding an axe.

"Call security!" AJ said and woman closest to Five pushed herself backwards on the chair towards a small table where the phone was.

Five lifted up the axe as he charged towards the woman before he swung the axe down at the woman's arm cutting it in half as soon as it touch the phone and the other's eyes widened in fear.

"No!" AJ said as the sound of dial tone hums, beeping was heard.

Five moved the axe around, before getting it out of the small table and he looked at the blood on the edge of the axe before he turned around to the rest, sending out a evil and creepy smile.

He blinked to the left side of the table towards three men, killing them with the axe. Two had their organs coming out of their stomach while the other had his forehead slashed open.

He then fix his tie and burst something off his clothes before he blinked and appeared on the other side of the table where a man was. The man grunted as he grabbed at the desk.

Five killed the man, causing the lamp on the desk fell down with the man causing light bulb to shatter. Five picked up a glass of water before taking a sip as the man's dead body and the lamp slide to the floor.

"What are you doing?" a man screamed at Five.

Five put the glass down and lifted up the axe, before he blinked again and suddenly another dead man was hanging from the ceiling.

People grunted as Five killed them one by one.

Five appeared and the left side of the table next to another dead guy, he then blinked again before he appeared on the other side of the table behind a guy that was sitting next to AJ.

Five sighed and lifted the axe from the floor, looking around. The guy Five had appeared behind didn't move until blood started trickling down his face from a huge cut and he faceplanted on the table.

The sound of electricity crackled was heard as AJ peeked up from under the table to see that everyone was dead.

Then AJ moved his fishbowl head backwards slightly as he saw a par of shoes blinked onto the table and he looked up to see Five, looking down at him, covered in blood.

"She sent you, didn't she?" AJ asked "Does it really matter now?" Five asked as he leaned his head to the side while looking at him in a creepy way still holding the bloody axe.

"Whatever she offered you, I will double it, tripe it" AJ said with his voice frantically.

Five grabbed the axe with both hands "I'm not doing this for money" he said and was about to swung the axe, but then the woman from earlier tackled Five so they both fell off the table and down on the floor.

"Get off me!" Five said while grunting as he tried to get free from the her grip "You're gonna pay that vending machine, little mister" she said "Yeah?" Five said before he gave her an elbow in the face causing him to get free from her grip "I don't wanna hurt you, all right?" he said still crouching down.

"Hurt me?" the woman said before she turned and punched Five in the mouth causing his hand to shot up to his mouth as he furrowed his brows.

"Oh, I ain't afraid of you, you little pus ball" she said but then Five punch her in the face knocking her out.

Five then saw that AJ was gone and he saw that the door was opened "Shit" he said.

He then grabbed what looked like a cricket bat made of out wood and ran out of the room.

AJ was panting as he was running down the hallway but then suddenly Five appeared in front of him causing AJ to let out a gasp as he stopped up.

"Surely we can come to some form for agreement that benefits both parties. Quid pro quo? What do you say?" AJ asked "Why not?" Five shrugged "Here's your quid" he said before he swung the bat at AJ's left side causing him to shriek in pain.

"Here's your pro" Five said and swung the bat against AJ's right knee causing him to fell on his knees as he let out a groan in pain while Five just smiled with a sigh.

Five showed his devotion and a little blind love for his family and for you by killing innocent bystanders without hesitation in order to protect and save them.

"No! No! Please don't!" AJ whimpered as Five adjusted the bat in his grip before he put it next to AJ's fish tank "Here's your quo" Five said before he swung the bat backwards "NO!" AJ screamed and Five swung the bat forwards, towards AJ's head causing glass to shattered and AJ's body fell to the floor with a thud as the glass and body fell to the floor while the fish flew out of the ball before landing next to the body.

Then a door opened and two young women stepped into the hall but stopped when they saw Five before they turned around walking back to where they came from.

Five threw his head back, looking up at ceiling with a sigh before he looked back at the body.

The fish AJ jumped up and down on the floor while Five found a small plastic bag, filled it with water before putting AJ in it.

When Five return back to Dallas in 1963, drenched in someone else's blood, still drying on his skins, he decided to stay in the alleyway to wait on the Handler.

He was picking at the blood on his nails. He was holding the plastic bag with AJ in his right hand that was crossed over his stomach. His left hand that he was picking at the blood was propped up on his other arm.

There was a the sound op a zap behind him before he could hear footsteps approaching.

Five turned a little bit and let out a softly scoffs and a smile before he turned back.

The Handler came walking from behind Five "Well?" she asked and Five put his arm that was holding the bag out behind him and towards The Handler.

The Handler let out a gasp "AJ" she said and she put the briefcase down on the ground before she grabbed the bag from Five and she let out a cackling noise as she brought the bag up to her eye level so she could look at AJ.

Five turned around and put his hands in his pockets as she eyed him up and down.

"You know you're really starting to fill out those tight little shorts of yours" she said and looked back at AJ before she giggled while Five looked at the wall to his left.

She let out a sigh before looking back at Five "Why so quiet?" she asked as she moved her shoulders "Thought you'd be buzzing after this morning's slaughter" she said "All this killing..." he said as he paused for a moment before looking back at her ready to finally say what he had wanted for years "I'm done with it" he said.

"What?" she asked as she pulled out a rag and lick it.

"Am I supposed to take that seriously?" she asked as she stepped closer to him before she lightly wipe his face, trying to get the blood off. He let her do it, he would take it, he could if it meant you and his family would be safe.

"What I did today, I did for my family. I did it to save the world" he said and she moved her hand away from him before she shook her head slightly "Please" she said while moving the rag around his face.

"Spare me your little assassin with the heart of gold routine, will you?" she said "And keep up with this act. I'm not your puppet" he said "No, I don't think so. You're much more than that Five. You know that" she said as she wipe the blood off his face but he push her hand away.

"Don't touch me. I've made so many deals with you, just for you to rip it from me. For whatever reason, I'm hoping this time you'll hold up your side of the deal" he said.

"So ungrateful" she tilted her head "The Commission and I have done so much for you. This was only fair" she smiled.

"I saved you, Five. We made you the strong man that you are. Maybe not in this body, but nevertheless, you are still the man we made inside. A killer" she said before she picked up the briefcase and handed it to Five "Here. Per our agreement, this will get you and your siblings back to 2019" she said and he grabbed the briefcase while still looking at the ground.

"You have 90 minutes" she said causing Five to snapped his head towards her as she turned around "You said nothing about a time limit" he said as he took a few steps forward and she stopped causing him to do the same as she looked down at her watch "Actually, you have 89 minutes and 30 seconds" she said and he looked around gasping slightly "Better hurry" she said nodding before turning around again.

"This is impossible, okay?" he said as he stared her and he pointed to the end of the alleyway "My siblings are scattered across the city, not to mention I have to grab--" Five stop himself. He almost told the Handler about you, even so she knew about you, she can't know that Five had feelings for you and he actually want to take you with him.   

The Handler stopped before she turned to him again "Nothing's impossible. You proved that this morning when you killed the board" she said and tapped his nose.

"I need more time" he said "Any more time, and people will start asking questions. The sooner you get home and out of this time period, the better off we'll both be, so" she said "You" he muttered angry "Ticktock, ticktock" she said and he blinked away.

You were still at work, standing behind the counter when one of your colleagues walked over to you "Y/n, some boy is here to see you, he's waiting outside in the back" she said "Thanks Mia" you left the counter and walked out of the back that led to the alleyway.

You froze when you saw Five standing in the alley covered in blood.

"What happened?" you rushed over to him "Don't worry, it's not mine" he said "What happened?" you asked again "I did it, I did my part of a deal, you can come back with me to 2019, I will make some changes so you can come with me" he smiled.

"What was the deal about?" you asked "It's not important, but was is important is that we only have 89 minutes, so get ready, say goodbye, then we're leaving" he said.

A part of you wanted to go with Five, but since he didn't mention your dad was coming at all, you knew that he was nor going with you.

You didn't want to leave your dad, besides you don't know if that change is good and it's going to work.

"Come" Five grab your hand and you follow him for a few steps but you stopped which made him stop as well.

"I don't want to and can't go with you" he stopped before he turned to look at you.

"You don't want to and can't?" he asked "Yeah" you nodded "But you just said..." "I know, but that was only if my dad was also going, and I have a feeling that he can't come, so therefore I'm not going" you said.

"Do you have any idea what I had done to get us out of here?" he asked "I didn't ask you to risk everything just to drag me along and leave my dad, and my life behind" you said "This is not a life you want, the 60's is not a life for you, but 2019 is" he said.

"You don't know what I want. I don't remember telling you what I want" you said "Y/n, look, I'm sorry--" Five started but you cut him off.

"Don't apologize. Were you seriously planning to take me and make me leave everything I have known behind, my dad" you said "It's for the best. It's what your dad would want" he said "You barely know him" you said "I know that he loves you, and just wanted you safe. And I want that too" he said "Then why can't we take him with us?" you asked "He's a risk to us and my family. If I lost you like I lost my family here....I don't know what I'd do" his voice breaking.

"Five. I can't just leave him. I'm all he has" tears fell from your eyes "I know, but what about us?" he asked "I like you Five, I really do. But I can't just leave my life behind. My dreams, this is my timeline" you said.

Five's face expression softened with a mix of regret and understanding. You reached out and cupped his face in your hands, making him look at you "I just wish you'd ask me first before making decisions without consulting me" you said "It was wrong of me. I know but I can't just leave you here after we fix this" he said "I understand you want us to be together, but my life here matters. My father matters" you said.

The two of you stared at each other "I'm sorry okay, but I can't leave my dad. I just can't. He would be all alone" you said and Five looked down.

"I have to go back to work, but my shift ends soon, so I will be back to say goodbye, okay" you said and he nodded.

"See you later" you lay a kiss on his cheek before you turned around and walked into the back entrance.

Five let out a sigh when he saw you enter the building.

No, he can't just give up.

He knows that you just told him you couldn't go with him, but if now Five talks with your dad and your dad agrees with him that it would be best for you to go with Five to 2019 and he can convince you, would you go?

Or maybe your dad could come too, yeah, two people like you and your dad wouldn't affect the timeline that much, he doesn't think so.

Yeah, that is Five's plan, also take your dad Elliott with you, letting him come with you, Five and his siblings too.

He just has to talk to Elliott about it first. So Five lifted the briefcase up again with his left hand before he blink away, blinking back to the apartment so he could talk to Elliott about his plan, hoping that Elloitt would agree with Five's plan and also want to come and if not, then plan B, talking with Elliott about Five taking you with him.
