"What do you think you're doing!?" Melanie spat

"Trying to put in work, something your boyfriend doesn't seem to do, otherwise you wouldn't be such a pain in the ass all the time" Summer stated blankly

The green hair girl widened her eyes before lightly nudging Summer's shoulder

"What?" she whispered

"Don't talk to her like that, you'll get yourself in trouble. She's the student body president" Zelda said

"So?" Summer shrugged

Zelda shook her head smiling before returning her attention to the person at the door

"School is no place for such behavior" Melanie said, crossing her arms across her chest

"Then close your eyes and don't watch" Summer rolled her eyes, placing her hands tighter around the green hair girl, making her giggle

Melanie rolled her eyes as she started to enter the classroom

To Summer's surprise, a few students started to follow behind her

Summer furrowed her brows as she glanced over each person

"What this?" Summer asked

"This classroom is supposed to be occupied right now for our weekly Bible study meeting" Melanie said, gesturing her hand to the students to take a seat

"Oh hell no, I'm getting out of here" Zelda said

"And leaving me with them?" Summer asked

The green hair girl chuckled softly

But her laughter was immediately cut off by the feeling of someone brushing against her skin

Their heads then turned to see that Melanie was standing directly in front of them, so close that her shoulder barley touched Zelda's

Her eyes were narrowed and they avoided the green hair girl, locking onto familiar honey brown orbs

There was such fire in her eyes, a threat to explode at any given second. Her glare was intense, causing Summer to raise a brow

"Kindly leave so we can have the room" Melanie gave a small smile

Even the three blind mice would tell how fake her smile was

"You got it" Zelda grinned, peeling Summer's fingers off her waist
"Are you coming?"

Summer's eyes still hadn't left Melanie's since the girl had entered the classroom. There was something set ablaze inside her. Something much deeper than annoyance and it showed. Perhaps Summer was the only person that could actually tell what she was feeling without her even realzing

Which just made her even more curious as to what was Melanie's deal in the first place

"You know what" Summer said, bringing a small smirk to her face
"I'll stay right here"

Melanie rolled her eyes before turning on her heels, heading back towards the rest of students at the front of the class

"Oh I see what's going on here" Zelda whispered

"I don't know what you're talking about" Summer chuckled

"You like her, don't you?"

"Excuse me?" Summer scoffed

"Oh come on, I know how you do"

"Me? Like her? I met her yesterday and she's a living, walking, nightmare that originated from Pluto"

"Plus her dad's a pastor" Zelda chuckled

"She doesn't act like he is"

"And that's exactly why you like her" Zelda smiled

"Over my dead body"

"I'll be sure to attend the funeral"

"Shut up and get out of here" Summer laughed, playfully shooing the girl away

"Just. Call me later" Zelda said

"I'm not going after the preacher's God sent child" Summer rolled her eyes

"Whatever you say Harlow" Zelda giggled, blowing the girl one kiss goodbye

Summer shook her head smiling before shifting her attention towards the meeting in front of her

But she couldn't help to think about what Zelda had said. Her, like Melanie?

The girl's attitude was enough to scare away Lucifer himself. It's simply been two days and she was already sick of hearing the girl's voice. That didn't sound like a 'crush' to her

Her eyes glanced in Melanie's direction. The brunette's chin tilted backwards as her fingers stroked through a few of her brown strands. Her lips were parted slightly while her fingers moved quickly to wrap her hair in a hairtie

There was something so supple and soft to her in the moment. There was no doubt that she was beautiful. Her freckles looked like natural glitter against the sun's reflection on her skin

Summer found herself memorized in those few seconds, her eyes traveled down the girl's neck-

"Are you joinging us?"

The voice broke way of her little trance as she shook her head to find her composure

"Huh?"

"Are you joinging the meeting or not? Since you're staying" Melanie smiled sarcasticly

Yes. That's a thing.

"Anything for you, sweetie" Summer grinned, approaching the front seats and hearing a few students laugh

Melanie simply rolled her eyes as she started to walk towards the middle of the classroom

Summer's eyes still hadn't left the girl's body. It was amazing how quickly she'd find herself lost and completely forget a certain part of Melanie that drove her insane

But was there another side to her? A type that was actually calm and wasn't mad at the world

Well not the world... Mostly just Summer

But was there? The raven hair girl couldn't help but wonder

But then again, that had nothing to do with her

Besides, she's known her for two days anyways

The brunette stood in the center of the class, students were in seats all around her, leaning over the desk awaiting the girl's orders

Summer simply leaned back in her seat, bringing her feet up on the desk and placing her hands behind her head to rest the back of her head as she grinned

Melanie scrunched her face in disgust as she watched her, only resulting in Summer giving a small smile

Oh how she loved making the girl miserable

But her smile slowly started going fade when Melanie found herself in a deep thought, immediately it looked as if a lightbulb went off in her head as she watched Summer, matching her own smile by bringing a smirk on her lips

"My bad everyone, I think I completely forgot to introduce the new member of our Bible club meeting" Melanie started off

The brunette's hand gestured towards Summer and all heads snapped in her direction

"Excuse me, what!?" Summer hissed

"Did you forget what your mother said?" She smiled

"There's no way in hell I was going to do it either way"

"So what were you planning to do? Show up to church every week and stand there?"

"Actually. Yes" She said making Melanie scoff

"We work as a choir and we work as a team. We all put in work. People like you don't just get to walk in and stand in a corner, pretending to sing then disappear the second it's over"

"Why not. That sounds like an excellent plan-"

"Summer!" The girl hissed

"Fuck, that sounds so hot coming from your lips" She smirked

Once again, Melanie's face turned red but there was no sign of blushing anywhere. The girl looked as if steam was building up inside her and was ready to blow

Students around her didn't take the girl seriously and simply laughed it off, but Melanie could never

But there was something that forgot or perhaps she didn't learn as yet about Melanie

The brunette's anger was constantly written on her face, turning red as if she was about to explode every single time. But Melanie had a mind and attitude that moved fast

So when she anger striked, her mouth did as much damage when a light bulb went off in her head again

"You know what. Summer Harlow will lead the church choir" Melanie spat

"WHAT!?" Summer yelled

"AND be our dummy for the bake sale"

"Excuse me!?"

"AND every Sunday she'll be the first one there the clean, set up everyone's instruments, iron our clothes AND she's now second in command for every Bible study meeting" Melanie finished off crossing her arms across her chest and shooting a smile

Students cheered in appreciation as they applauded, turning to face the raven hair girl with smiles on their faces

But a smile was far from what Summer had written on her face

It was impossible to swallow that anger within her, it was like a fire-seed, growing inside and burning every section of her. There was nothing to diffuse it so it grew in the pit of her stomach until it came out as hot as any dragon has ever flamed
