Chapter 6

Narrator's pov

-

"Aren't you suppose to be in my class?"

A middle aged man folded his arms across his chest, leaning his shoulder against the doorframe as he watched back and forth between the two girls

A little lean in and they witnessed their classmates staring back at them, some avoiding eye contact. It was obvious that everyone heard the commotion outside

"Take a seat"  the man waved his hand, allowing the two girls to enter the class

Both were finally silent, their eyes avoided each other as they entered the classroom

Summers eyes glanced over the seats, most had been occupied but she preferred to be in a spot where she could avoid people at all costs

The girl then walked through the aisles, finding a seat at the back of the classroom

The teacher continued his lesson, her voice was loud enough for Summer go focus on but her mind and eyes were still occupied by an infuriating brown hair girl

Her brain was screaming for the girl to now come sit anywhere close to her

To her surprise, the brunette fitted herself at a chair right in front of the class

Close enough to reach over the teacher's table, must be a Teacher's pet, Summer thought

The girl shook her and crossed her arms against her chest, allowing her body to finally settle into her seat

Her focus was still on anything other than school

She was close enough to the big, clear glass window near the wall. Her shoulder barley leaned against it as she turned her attention outside

Cold air took the sky, greeting the fallen leaves resting on a brown dirt path. The green leaves danced with joy as the wind traveled through them, one by one greeting a friend and settling quietly until another passed by

Summer always found it hard to focus in class, she could never hold her concentration on whoever spoke yet she managed to pass all of her classes. Preferably, being alone with a book had done more for her than any teacher had

"Combustible materials" the man said

She had no idea why she wanted to study science, there was no interest there in the first place

But she couldn't tell her parents that she wanted to study art

Her mother would scream her ears off, a lecture she would never forget. It was as if they're investment wasn't for her future, it was for the story they wanted their bloodline to have. "a doctor and a nurse in the family". So she agreed to whatever they said, but managed to slip in a few creative art classes inside too

Which only led her to wonder what Melanie was doing here in the first place

Her eyes then wondered over to the brunette girl at the head of the class

But to her surprise, Melanie's eyes were already on her here

Honey brown orbs were trailing up her body. Slowly, those eyes captured her whole and tugged on her heart

Summer couldn't help but raise a brow at the girl, awaiting her eyes to lock with her own

Melanie's face immediately turned red and her eyes widened in fear at the fact that she had been caught

Summer chuckled to herself watching the red stained girl try to force an angry look on her face as if she wasn't just checking her own

So she pulled a smirk on her lips and gave the girl a wink

For some reason, Melanie's already red cheeks flushed with a deeper shade

Summer finally bursted out laughing at the blushing girl

Melanie groaned loudly before snapping her neck around, her way of trying to focus on the lesson

Oh but Summer was enjoying herself far too much already

If she enjoyed teasing her before, she was surely going to make it hell for Melanie Robbins

.

"Alright everyone, that's today's lesson. I'll see you all next class" the teacher announced

Students didn't hesitate to stand to their feet, rushing past each other and out the door to their next class or a few minutes break

Summer had her mind still set on the individual leaves that fell from the branches one by one

She hasn't realized that the class was over

"FYI, I wasn't looking at you" A voice hissed

The raven hair girl turned her head to the side to see a red cheek stained Melanie towering over her desk, leaning over slightly enough to show a small bit of her cleavage while both of her palms pressed flat on the desk. Her straight hair fell over her shoulder while a few stands danced around her so called 'angry' face

"Sure" Summer smirked

"But I wasn't" Melanie hissed again

"Uh huh, good to know" Summer chuckled, settling in her seat once again

"You just had dirt on your shoes and I was-"

"I told you already, I don't mind you checking me out" Summer smirked

Which simply made Melanie's face a deeper shade of red than it already was

By now she looked like a steaming train ready to be tugged by the last nerve she had left

"Whatever" Melanie hissed, spinning on her heels, huffing and puffing her tiny mean self away

Summer chuckled at her adorable she looked, the brunette girl was just a few inches shorter than herself which made her seem like the angry dwarf when snow-white invaded his house

But not Goldilocks though. We all know them three bears ate that bitch as the final page

Speaking of eating bitches

"Harlow. Nice to see you alive and well" A voice said

The raven hair girl had to inhale a long, deep breath before shifting her attention towards the person

Her short green hair stopped right above her shoulder, her deep red lipstick brought out the colour of her electric blue eyes that were already piercing into brown orbs

"Zelda" Summer greeted

"Oh. You remember my name this time" The girl fake smiled, following with a glare

Summer chuckled to herself before shaking her head. Oh how she regretted the day she hooked up with the girl and said the wrong name in bed

It had been an embarrassment she hadn't lived down

"I'm sorry, I don't know how many times I have to say it" Summer said

"Then make it up to me" Zelda replied

A small smile etched its way onto Summer's lips as she started to open her legs

Her hand reached out to take the green hair girl's as she gently pulled her down, settling her on top of her thighs

"How may I be of service?" She questioned

"Don't play so smooth with me Summer" the girl glared

But her body surrendered into Summer as she felt the girl's arms wrap around her waist from behind

"You ignored my calls and texts for a month" Zelda said

Summer exhaled deeply before pulling the girl on her lap in tighter

And so it begins, her explanation for ghosting and ignoring people through her break

But while in her thoughts, Summer felt a weird feeling on her. Almost as if someone was glaring so strongly that it could blow her into flames

"Sorry about that, I've been dealing with some stu-"

"Excuse me!" a voice cut her off

Their heads snapped in the direction of the classroom door, only to see a dreaded face glaring at her

"What do you think you're doing!?"
