Chapter 13
Narrator's pov
-
"Move" Summer hissed, the students heading down the hallway all created a space to let the girl pass
Seeing her narrowed eyes, behind that icy stare was a mountain of pain, yet extracting it would bring pain and instability
Either it would let it out and her soul reborn, or she would lash out and it would be forever over
Afraid to be the person it would be unleashed on, they all pulled into the corner one by one to avoid a simple hairline touch of the girl's clothing
The girl dashed down the halls and turned the corner, it was just one week into the school's semester and she already couldn't take it
The meeting was tragic, just more bickering with Melanie that led to no where. So she got up and left before she slammed the girl's head into a wall or filled her mouth with chalk
Hey, I vote fill it with cu-
Custard pie. Yes. Creamy custard pie.
So to avoid the brown hair girl, she left the meeting and headed towards a place she hoped to find some peace
Her art classes weren't scheduled as yet but it wasn't going to stop her from hiding away in a place of silence
Besides, school was over
Why not hide away in the art room and fuck some expensive government sponsored paint
Luckily the lock was open, the girl slid into the room and closed it quietly
There wasn't a person in sight, Summer finally exhaled a breath she had been holding since leaving the meeting
She inhaled deeply, allowing her lungs to be filled with a new scenery, out of mind. A place where her mind could wonder free to be itself
The colours of our room spoke of ocean, wave-kissed land and rock blue. Yet they sang of movement of the water, its sound and aroma
It was the most creative, youthful place in the school. Allowing those to express themselves through their art in the walls in unique ways. A part of every student who passed through, hung on the walls
It was a safe space for the odd ones out. Those who were troubled inside as well as out. Those who needed a change, somewhere, somehow
They kept alive the kind of memories that kept Summer well anchored
Her fingers grazed over the art upon the gallery wall, watching as polaroids of emotion, the sort of communication that could take volumes of the written word to convey... and even then, not nearly so well
Finally, a smile was brought to her lips after a while. Watching the souls of creatives be spread across the walls
Art that spoke of mountains and freedom
Her fingers stopped at a blank canvas placed perfectly on a stand. Brushes soaked in a glass of water nearby while paint scattered around on the desk
The temptation of bringing the virgin canvas to life with just a few strokes
Oh. So that's how babies are born-
A slight creak of wood pulled Summer's attention away from the canvas and glance over to the door
"Oh for fuck sakes" Summer hissed
Melanie closed the door behind her as she entered into the classroom
"What are you doing here?" she asked
"I could ask you the same question" Summer hissed
"I don't need to answer to yo-"
"Yeah well neither do fucking i"
"Must you always behave like this?"
"Like that?"
"A fool" Melanie stated
Those honey brown orbs were turned to angry eyes, turning her brain on a different mode, that she had switched gears from stable to cold emotional indifference
"Excuse me!?" Summer scoffed
"You heard me"
"I honestly don't know what's your problem with me. Apparently everyone in this fucking life thinks you're Ms perfect, not one flaw on you. But you're actually just a bitch"
"Well you act like a child-"
"No. No that's not it" Summer spat
She went down the devil's path, hatred took her eyes for the first time when locking into other brown orbs
"Be honest with yourself Melanie, you know exactly what your problem is with me"
Tired. She was tired of the constant yelling and bickering between each other. There was a route to all of the problems and she was finally ready to confront the girl
"Oh?"
"You and your beliefs. You hate the fact that I'm gay. Just fucking say that"
Melanie stayed quiet but the fire burned in her eyes watching Summer come closer
Both of their arms across each other as they stood just a few inches away, burning the brown dusted eyes to created a forest fire within each other
"Okay. Yeah. I don't believe you should be doing tha-"
"Doing what? Being ME!? FOR GOD SAKES MELANIE. I expected better for someone who's student president. You'd expect them to actually have a fucking brain"
"I have a brain. You're the one throwing your life away by creating sins"
"Sin? SIN?? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME"
"The bible says-"
"Oh fuck that. Do you seriously allow one book to run your life. Being preached by the mouths of millions of men. Translated and fixed to their liking through history?"
"You chose to-"
"You think I had a CHOICE!? why would I chose to be abused everyday!? To be looked at like a failure from the two people that are supposed to love you unconditionally!? All because I'm not the person they expected me to be? Don't you think if I had a choice I'd already chose to be different? But I can't. This is who I am. A fucking lesbian. Get that through your head Melanie because you know nothing about me. Who I am. Or what the fuck I have to deal with for being born this goddamn way" Summer yelled
By now the two girls were closer than ever, their chests were smashed together while their eyes narrowed with glares
"I don't have a problem with you. I have a problem with the choices you make"
"I LITERALLY just told you it's not a fucking choice"
"Your words mean nothing"
"Oh fuck off Melanie. God I thought you were annoying before but this is just fucking ridiculous"
"Don't talk to me like that"
"Or what? OR ELSE WHAT!? Your limp dick Tarzan boyfriend is gonna jump in and swing me across the vines!?"
Never had they both been triggered to such levels. There was a tension in their manner, a tightness in their faces and eyes move more robotically than others
Melanie was burning inside, each and ever nerve was spiraling and ready to explode. Her face red from steam, fists folded and sinking into her own skin as tightly as ever, slicing at her palm
Without thinking, her hands reached to the girl's shoulder and pushed her harshly, watching her stumble backwards
"I hate you" She hissed
"Fuck off" Summer spat, bringing her own hands up and shoving the girl backwards
Melanie's back collided with the door as her back pressed flat against the surface. Her eyes darted through the girl's as she was ready to shove again
Her hands reached to her shoulder but this time Summer was faster. The raven hair girl hooked her hands around Melanie's wrist and slammed them harshly against the door above her
She then pressed her body fully against the girl's to trap her in, using a knee the press between her thighs and secure her in properly
Melanie groaned as she struggled trying to break way from the grasp but the taller girl was stronger
Their chests rose and fell heavily, their breaths felt heavy while their veins showed through their foreheads
Their eyes lit a flame with a glare, cold yet burning each other
Their anger had clouded the realisation of the position they were in
Summer's eyes pierced into her own. Those brown orbs of Melanie gave her soul translation of her emotional indifference. She could kill and not care one bit
But realization was starting to take over them both, noticing what was happening around
Those brown eyes became a million hues, swimming on her own lust
Melanie started into Summer's window to her soul. They were the forest and the autumnal leaves, the soil in summer and after the rain
It was so spellbinding to one word, when the colours invited her to marvel in it's simplicity
Her heart jump started in her chest again, feeling an intense flutter fill her chest and sore throat her veins with a shocking feeling at the girl's touch. At the girl's warm breath hitting her lips. At the girl's skin on her own
Summer bit her lip, eyes landing on Melanie's lips. They were as good as her eyes in painting a picture of her emotions
Melanie's eyes then fell on the girl's lips, she had always found them pretty, such a soft and delicate state. She loved them even more when Summer would run her tongue over them, leaving them in a glistening state
She couldn't imagine what they felt like on her own. Just the thought sent her mind into a sensual state of intoxication
She moved closer with those eyes that look so deeply into her own, her breathing became softer, the pensive look melting
Her body squirmed just a little as her muscles relax. There was something about that gaze of Summer she'll never find in another person, as if in that moment their souls made a bridge
That's when Melanie finally reached toward when the urge to kiss her took over
Soft pink lips pressed against each other, starting a fire within that no one else could ever ignite
An explosive feeling soaked through the pit of their stomachs, reaching every inch of their bodies
The feeling that little tickle opened their hearts
Melanie melted at the taste of Summer, sweet and savouring. So soft and gently, far different than anything she had ever experienced
Her eyes shut as she allowed the feeling in engulf her, setting ablaze her insides with small fireworks
In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million thoughts condensed into a moment
Summer went weak, her body struggled to keep its balance and her fingers tingled
She released her grip from the girl's wrist as her hands then found her waist, wrapping her arms tightly around the area and pulling her closer into her chest
In that moment of the kiss, their chemistry becomes an ever-bright flame
Melanie's head was spinning in delight, her lips moved against the taller girl and her arms subconsciously reached up, hooking around the girl's neck
They fitted perfectly like two puzzle pieces together, with no space in between them
Melanie's heart throbbed in her chest as she started to feel her knees go weak from the intense feeling travelling through her entire body
Sensing the shaking girl, Summer's hands left her waist and slowly travelled down her thighs
Her hands then hooked around her legs and quickly pulled her up, wrapping the girl's legs around her waist and pressing her body against the door again
Their kisses became even more intense, Summer lightly sucked on the girl's bottom lip, hearing a soft moan from the shorter girl, simply making her heart flutter again
Melanie's hands around the girl's neck pulled their faces closer as she tilted her head, deepening their kiss even more, causing an intense heat to rise in their stomachs
Her breath shuddered against the girl's mouth but she attached their lips against quickly
Their kiss grew even hungrier, their warm breaths hitting each other lips as they moved their lips against each other
The feeling swarmed them both making it hard to control themselves in their moment
Summer was the first to pull away, her face pulled away and her breathing fell heavy
Their chests panting for the fresh air entering their lungs
Autumned colour eyes were shades darker then usual, locking with each other
Their daze had still taken control of them, their lips barely brushed against each other as they panted for breath
Unaware of what had just happened
