~ It's Left Me With Some Body Issues ~

* Y/N'S POV *

"Y/N!! I'm so happy to see you! I've missed you, my sis!", Jimin said as he hugged me and spun me around.

In the middle of the street.

"Jiminie! Put me down!", I squealed, feeling slightly dizzy due to the sudden spinning session.

"Y/N! You're such a baby!", he said as he set me down on my feet.

"I'm not!", I huffed as I pouted slightly.

He chuckled deeply as we made our way to his penthouse apartment in the wealthiest part of New York.

"Wow, Jiminie! Your apartment looks neater than the last time I visited.", I joked as I plopped down on the couch.

"Haha. Very smart, pabo.", he sarcastically remarked as he plopped down beside me.

I rolled my eyes at him.

He's literally the most annoying twin in this world.

"So, how's your moving in with Chris going? Everything ok?", he asked, worried as a brother should be.

No.

"Yes. Everything's good.", I manage to say, despite the lump in my throat.

I wanted to tell everything.

Just breakdown in front of him.

But, I couldn't.

He and the entire company are looking forward to Chris and my wedding.

If two rival companies join hands, the competition will become lesser.

They both knew it.

And I knew it too.

"Y/N. You here!?", Jimin's voice snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Y-Yeah! Were you saying something?", I asked.

"Well, I was saying that Taehyung is coming to visit us. From Seoul. I'm sure you remember him?", he informed and questioned me at the same time.

And with that one name, the air got knocked out from my lungs and I started coughing incessantly.

"Shit, Y/N!", Jimin panicked as he started massaging my back gently.

"I-I...am...f-fine, J-Jimin.", I managed to say between gasps.

After a while, when the coughing ceased a bit, I took a huge ass breath.

"Shit, Y/N! You scared me out here!", he said as he frowned slightly.

Ignoring his question, I asked,"When's he coming here!?"

I missed Taehyung.

He was one of the people whom I trusted.

Apart from my brother, of course.

He had been my best friend when we were young.

But Jimin and him always used to fight over me.

I wonder why...

But we three were best friends.

Strong and unbreakable.

"He will probably have landed by now.", Jimin said as he checked his watch.

"So, will he stay here for the night!?", I asked.

"Probably. I actually wanted to go pick him up for the airport.", Jimin thought aloud.

"Then, why aren't we going!?", I yelled as I stood up abruptly.

He shrugged as he fished out his car keys, while I snatched them from him and rushed to the entrance, putting on a comfortable pair of docs.

My brother chuckled at my antics, not minding my choice of footwear.

Chris would've minded though.

If it's not Prada or Gucci, it's not deemed as shoes in his eyes.

The drive to the airport was silent, each rejoicing within our hearts, the coming of Taehyung.

I wonder how much he had changed over the years...

Was he still the goofy little kid...

Or...

A matured old grandpa...

I sighed.

10 years was a long time...

"Y/N. Did you and Chris decided on the date for dress selection?", Jimin suddenly asked as we were sitting in the traffic.

"Huh?", I asked.

"For the wedding, pabo!", Jimin said exasperatedly.

I rolled my eyes at him and said,"Maybe this weekend? You know how busy Chris is, right?"

He hummed in agreement as he stared out of the window, the last glow of the evening doing his facial features the justice it deserves.

Being Asian was hard enough amongst the White Supremacy.

But, Jimin always had my back.

No matter what.

Finally, after battling with the traffic for two hours straight, we arrive at the parking lot.

"We're fucking late!", Jimin cursed as he sprinted towards the arrival.

"Wait for me, you lil ass!", I yelled as I ran while stuffing the car keys inside my fanny pack.

It was an achievement, if not a complete miracle, that I didn't entirely end up losing them altogether.

And all because of Jimin's unwarned sprint.

As I caught up with him, I clutched onto his shoulder, panting for breath, more or less being the same height as him.

Perhaps he was a head taller.

"Did...you...find...h-him?", I said in between gasps.

"Not yet. I don't even remember what the freaking guy looks like!", Jimin said as he aimlessly scanned through the scores of people.

I looked at my brother in disbelief.

"Are you serious!?", I shouted at him, not caring about the weird looks and whispers I was attracting towards myself.

He grinned sheepishly, having at least the decency to look apologetic.

"Now what?", he asked me.

"Call him up, for Pete's sake!", I said as I ran my fingers through my hair.

"Ah, right!", he said as he took out his cell and dialled Taehyung's number.

I chewed on my bottom lip, as I waited in anticipation.

Pick up the call, pick up the call...

"Tae! Where are you!?", Jimin's loud voice jolts me out of my small prayer.

"Ok! Got it!", Jimin said after a while as he disconnected the call.

I looked at him with a questioning gaze.

"Blue hair. Look out for that.", was all he said before he started scanning the crowd once again.

My eyes widened in shock.

Blue...hair?

What an eccentric choice...

I couldn't help but wonder.

As my eyes searched for the mop of blue hair among the vast expanse of preoccupied people, I smiled a little.

It was a long wait, Kim Taehyung...

You're so evil...

I chuckled a little.

"Taehyung!", Jimin's voice suddenly reached my ears.

His name was like music to my ears.

My heart rushed with joy, filled with happiness.

Taehyung...

Your arrival...

Is like sunshine in my life...

"Y/N! C'mon!", Jimin said as he pulled me along with him.

I closed my eyes, fearing of what I might see.

I was anxious...

Nervous...

To face him after all this time...

Affection fades away as time passes by.

But mine remained strong as ever.

A thousand questions passed through my mind.

Will he even remember me?

Will he still be the same kind and caring boy he was before?

Will he still smile his boxy smile?

Will he still remember our special handshake?

Will Jimin and him still bicker over me?

"Y/N.", a new foreign voice, laced thickly with accent spoke my name.

I couldn't look at him.

I wanted to.

But I just couldn't.

I shut my eyes tighter, shutting all possible light out.

"Y/N. Look at me.", the same raspy voice commanded as he pried my eyes open with his fingers.

As my eyes adjusted to the sudden burst of bright light, the first thing I found myself doing was staring into a pair of deep brown mysterious eyes, shining with mischief.

Then, the rest of the face came into focus.

Defined planes, flawless skin, full lips with a hidden mole on the bottom lip, one mole on the nose and one under his right eye and lastly, striking blue hair was the definition of Kim Taehyung.

"Hey.", I said breathily due to our close proximity.

He merely stared at me, as if memorising the planes of my face, every inch of it burning due to his gaze.

Suddenly, Jimin cleared his throat in the background.

Taehyung put some space between us, his warm presence filled quickly by coldness.

"Y/N. It's nice seeing you after all these years.", Taehyung said with a small smile.

"Likewise.", I said trying to smile.

Taehyung...

You've changed so much...

I couldn't see the glimpse of the old boyish and childish TaeTae in you...

You've matured so much...

"Y/N. Stop zoning out.", Jimin said as he smacked my head.

"Ya! Stop abusing me, pabo!", I said as I shot him a glare.

Taehyung chuckled lightly at the fighting duo.

"Stop laughing!", I yelled as I shot him an identical glare too.

This made him laugh harder and Jimin joined in.

I shot glares at them, but their laughter being contagious was soon contacted by me and before I knew it, I joined it too.

It felt like old times...

Just the three of us...

Laughing without a care...

I wished it would stay like this...

Forever...

And ever...
