Spooky Season| Roddy Ricch
Y/N sat in front of her laptop disturbed. The pads of her fingertips grazed the keys trying to figure out what to type. Her television played Supernatural in the background. She clearly wasn't focused.
Sighing she closed her laptop and retreated to her messy bed. She faced palmed into her pillow screaming from the tension that erupted in her head. Her feet hit the cold hardwood floors. Goosebumps rose on her soft brown skin from the chill.
The night air was crisp. Fog scattered on the ground outside making everything dark. The sun had set hours ago. Y/N headed to the kitchen in her lonely condo. She grabbed a glass cup and went to fill it with ice-cold water.
A breeze swept across the kitchen. She felt heavy hands on her shoulders. She dropped the cup on the marble island. Y/N jumped in fright. Standing in slight darkness she could hear someone breathing.
"Go away!" Her voice had dropped a couple of octaves from fear.
The feeling that she was being watched suddenly vanished. She went to the bathroom to calm her nerves. Her skin was bare and her blemishes were on full display.
Shaking off her feelings she started the shower. Finally undressed she stepped into the foggy tub letting the hot water soothe her skin. Her tension eased and she sighed in relief.
The water rained down on her from head to toe. She washed and conditioned her curls and finally washed up her body.
Stepping out she let out a soft scream as she stared into the mirror. A handprint was painted onto the foggy mirror. Y/N ran to her room and shut the door. She hurriedly dried off and pulled her pajamas on.
"You're okay. There's nothing wrong. You're just seeing things." She whispered to herself as she hid under the cold blankets.
The bedroom lights flickered on and off. The television changed stations. She screamed once more before putting the covers over her head. Y/N had never dealt with anything like this before. Once everything stopped she pulled the covers from her head and peaked out.
"What the hell?" She whispered seeing a man standing in her room.
He turned to her, "You can see me?"
She yelped pulling the covers over her face, "Get outta here!"
Roddy looked at her confused, "I'm not here to hurt you!"
She peeked from under the covers, "You swear?"
He smiled, "I swear."
Y/N sat up fully in her bed. She noticed he was dressed in plain jeans and a tee-shirt. But he must have been important because he had gold chains around his neck. He was definitely a rapper. Reaching over she turned on the desk light to illuminate the room.
"You're the one that's been haunting me?" Y/N questioned.
He nodded his head, "I was trying to get your attention. I used to live in this apartment before I was killed."
"What?!" Her forehead creased with wrinkles.
Roddy chuckled, "You really don't know who I am. Do you?"
Y/N shook her head no. He noticed her laptop on the desk. It levitated and he commanded the object into his hands. He could hear her gasps of shock as he opened her computer and navigated to google.
"Here." Roddy allowed her to take the laptop.
"Holy shit. You really are Rodrick Moore." Y/N was in genuine shock as she scrolled down the blog posts and article timelines.
Roddy sat on the bed next to her. For some reason, she could feel his warmth. Like he was a real person. But the ghostly white outcast on his body proved otherwise.
"I need you to help me."
Her eyebrows furrowed, "With what?"
"Finding my killer."
"And what does that prove?" Y/N closed her laptop and set it back on the wooden desk.
"If we find my killer then I can finally go to heaven."
