Spell| Roddy Ricch

warning: this image is fiction and mentions magic (some parts of this work mention spirituality and some of it is fake)

Nina Simone's I Put a Spell On You played loudly through Y/N's house. She danced in her pajamas letting her hips sway and arms touch the ceiling. The air was calm and quiet as Roddy slept in the other room.

She watered her plants and spoke to her spirit guides for a few minutes before moving on to the kitchen. Her eyes light up at the idea of breakfast in bed. She moved quickly wiping up the eggs and frying the bacon.

Turning the music down she made her way upstairs with two plates. One for her and one for Roddy. He was sleeping peacefully. Her eyes widened in awe. He looked like an angel sleeping. His chest rose and fell at a steady pace.

"Roddy! Baby, I made breakfast." She kissed his cheek trying to get him to awaken.

He opened his beautiful hazel eyes before sitting up, "Whoa, what's all this?"

"Breakfast for my love." Y/N giggled hanging him a plate.

He smirked eating the plate fairly quickly. He gulped down the orange juice before getting up to find his clothes. Y/N's smile faded seeing him move so fast. She put her half-eaten plate down and move towards him.

"You're not staying?" She questioned placing her nude sheer robe on.

He ignored her whiny voice proceeding to put his shoes on. He tied the white laces and brushed off the debris before filling his pockets with his items. With panic in her eyes, she counted down to ten before speaking again.

"I asked you a question. Are you leaving?" Y/N's demanding demeanor made Roddy angry.

He sucked his teeth leaving her bedroom, "Man what the fuck! Don't question me."

She scoffed watching him slam her door. Her heavy footsteps carried through her small house. Her anger radiated making her plants falter and crystals rattle. Her aura changed from white to red. Y/N quickly dressed in a navy blue sweatsuit before leaving her home in shambles.

"You always appear on my doorstep when you need something." Shandra leaned on the doorframe shielding her eyes from the scorching sun.

"I need something strong. Can I come in?" Y/N pushed her way inside the store before Shandra could speak.

Shandra shut the door and walked Y/N to the back of the store, "What do you need? Or should I say want."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Shandra let out a scruffy laugh, "You know what I mean. You always want something you can't have and then restore to spiritual work to get what you want."

Y/N sighed. Shandra could read anyone like a book. Her old ass soul had probably been on this earth two hundred times. Her locs almost touched the floor as she walked to the counter eyeing Y/N.

"I need a love potion and a spellbook." Y/N looked up from the twinkling bowl of crystals smiling.

"And this is for that Roddy boy?"

Y/N nodded opening her purse to grab her wallet. Shandra reached to her personal bookshelf to find the oldest spellbook in the world. It had been collecting dust. Y/N was the worst person to give that much power to but business is business.

"Love potion is over there."

Y/N quickly grabbed what she needed. The love potion was a crimson red in color. Herbs swirled inside the bottle. She placed everything on the counter waiting for Shandra to give her a total. Shandra clicked the buttons on her register.

"Before I sell you this stuff you betta be careful."

"About what, girl?"

Shandra continued to calculate the price, "Everything! You're doing this with the wrong intentions. It won't work out in the long run."

Y/N rolled her eyes, "I don't care. I want what I want. I will not let Roddy slip through my fingers."

"Read the last spell in the book three times every day at midnight. When the new moon occurs in the next few weeks, get him to drink the potion." Shandra placed the items in a bag.

Y/N nodded before paying Shandra. She grabbed her items and left the store in a hurry. Shandra shook her head in disappointment. She whispered some final words.

"That boy will never love you."

For the next few weeks, Y/N had been reading the spell at midnight. It seemed to be working. Roddy had come by every day to see Y/N. His eyes were filled with lust. Y/N knew it was love. That's all she wanted was for him to be with her.

It was the night of the new moon. The darkness covered the earth as expected. The moon resided between the sun and earth. The bright side facing away from humanity. Y/N sat on her floor meditating and waiting for him.

Anxious knocks sounded at her door. Her smirk was hidden behind the darkness of the room. Turning on some lamps Y/N opened the front door. Roddy was covered in sweat. His breathing was erratic. He was ready for the potion.

"I can't stop thinking about you." He kissed her face multiple times.

"Hi, Roddy." Y/N led him to her living room.

His leg bounced as he sat down, "Somethings wrong with me."

"There's nothing wrong with you. Everything's fine. Do you want something to drink? I cooked earlier if you're hungry."

"No. What did you do to me?" He questioned her.

Y/N sensed his anger and retreated to the kitchen, "Let me get you something to cool off."

Rodrick watched her move like a snake. She was in her natural habitat and he had to tread lightly. One minute Y/N was just a piece of meat and the next he was in love with her. His emotions turned on and off. Something had happened.

Y/N brought him some iced tea. He looked into a cup seeing herbs, "What's in this?"

Y/N huffed, "Bae, you know I got my garden in the back. It's just mint, ginger, and some other stuff. It's fine."

The glass was fogging up as he hesitated, "I know you into that magic shit. You could be trying some new shit on me."

Y/N placed a hand over her heart, "I would never. Now, why did you come here?"

Roddy drank the entire glass before speaking, "Something's happening to me."

Y/N sat in silence as he spoke again with a new look in his eyes, "I'm in love with you."

Y/N smiled finally at peace. That night Y/N had seduced him all night. He even stayed in the morning. And then he stayed forever. But what he didn't know was that the empty potion bottle sat at the bottom of Y/N's trash can. He had just eaten the forbidden fruit and was her's forever.
