Need Me| J.I Prince of New York (Unfinished Draft)

Y/N is in trouble and calls the one she can least expect

"Y/N, when you gone let me take you out on a date?"

Y/N rolled her eyes as she made her way down the corner store isles, "Never ever!"

Justin sucked his teeth, "You looking really beautiful today."

Y/N continued to ignore him grabbing a sweet tea along the way. Justin followed her more. Y/N looked at the line forming at the front. She stood in her place.

"So you not gone say thank you?" Justin posted up on the boxes.

Y/N turned her head to face him, "Thank you for the compliment."

He smiled at her as she turned around. The line moved forward and Y/N walked up. On the way to the register, she saw the owner's cat chilling by the chips. She pets the cat and moved to face the register.

"So you can treat the cat better than me?" Justin placed a hand over his heart.

Y/N laughed and quickly covered her face, "Why are you so pressed, Justin? Damn."

"I've liked you since the second grade. You had your hair in those big puff balls with the plastic bows. I remember it like it was yesterday."

Y/N mugged him, "That's not how I remember it. You cut my bows and said they were ugly."

"I must've left that part out."

She shook her head, "You were always kind of an asshole."

"Not to you though. I would never."

He stayed silent as the owner rung up Y/N's items. She reached in her purse but Justin dropped the bills before she could.

"I got it."

Y/N rolled her eyes, "You're so corny, you know that?"

He shrugged his shoulders, "I'd do anything for you. You know that."

Y/N grabbed her bag and went to leave the store. Justin followed her still intrigued by her presence. Y/N walked down the block.

"Y/N look, I'm serious. Just give me a chance." Justin shielded his face from the overbearing summer sun.

"I already told you I wasn't in the mood to be dating anybody. But, maybe we can try something."

"Really?" His face lit up with excitement.

Y/N knew he meant no harm. She couldn't help it if he was persistent. She kind of liked it. Y/N pulled out her phone and went to her contacts. Still silent she handed him the phone. He typed his number in.

"You going to that party tonight in Harlem?" Y/N asked putting her phone away.

"Nah, I gotta do some work in the studio."

"Ahh, ever since you got radio play you a star now." Y/N laughed as they walked further down the block.

"I'm trynna get up out of here." They walked side by side.

"I understand. I got one more semester of classes and then I'm gone."

"I forgot you were always an overachiever and took all those college classes in high school."

She laughed, "Overachiever?"
