The Bounty...
From beneath her tongue she speaks.
With a devilish grin, she geeks.
Crossing the creek, walking like a freak, she stretched out her sword coming down to us.
I swear, I saw her wink.
I couldn't help but scream.
"Don't weary the forest with your screams, your death will be simple, I believe.
It was an easy transaction you see, kill the princess and cage the king. Dark Lord Oza decreed.
It was a dreadful wait.
Boring and such disgrace.
I had to hide in the shadows of
The Eye of Hob and here those low lives pray.
Such devotion, makes me Want to puke and teases my sword to reproof.
So you must imagine how I felt
When you came to the very place I lay wait.
You cannot hide from my blade, you daughter of a slave.
You may have the 'princess'
For a title, but don't bother, I know you are Dale."
I'm what?.......
That name again strikes against my mind. Challenging all I am and my reality.
I'm not Dale!, I exclaimed.
Yes! She's not. Dylan backed up my claim.
"Silence you fools,
I won't waste time with you today."
Raising her sword up.......
I closed my eyes as I give up
I heard the noise of her sword
Going into her sheath were it belongs.
I opened the corner of my eye
Shocked to see her face to face with me, an inch apart.
I just couldn't help it
I couldn't conceal it
I screamed my lungs out.
Trust me, it wasn't sweet.
Her hands raised against my face, my voice she erased
My neck, she embraced
With her fingers growing like ropes across my neck.
Up in the air, I find myself
Gasping for breath.
Please don't kill the princess
She's not whom you seek.
Let her go, and you'll be greatly rewarded by the king.
Please, don't forget to release me.
I'm just a faithful servant and a cute thief.
Dylan pleaded for our release.
"Silence you fool,
My business is not with you
Stay still or I kill you.
I do not care if you're a thief
I am only here for this thief.
That should give you relief."
She winked.
She tossed me away
As she sets herself at bay
I curled up as I cough
Trying to regain myself.
With eyes red than before
I looked at her with such disgust.
"I will not kill you today.
Is really of no use.
I'll wait till you know the truth
Of who you really are.
That's when my blade is sweetest, when life speaks the loudest. Death becomes entertainment.
I'll wait."
She said as she disappears into the wind.
Finally, my body is mine to control again.
I undervalue how important it is to be in control of me.
Poor Dylan, see what your princess has put you through.
Dylan said, stretching as I hissed at him, he's beginning to overdo.
At last!
He remembers to help me.
He saw how fright consumed me.
He let out a sigh
And drew me into his arms.
Again I felt my Dylan, my friend turned brother.
Its all going to be alright.
You must improve on your fight or at least be perfect in flight. Just make sure you stay out of sight, till this 'Dale' is found.
I must know if I'm Dale.
I must speak to father or mother today. Someone must give me the answers I seek.
I am princess Yale.
I spoke with such disdain.
----------------
Back at the castle.
------------------
Be quick with the bath
I must see father before time pass. I cannot resist this half
That keeps nagging on my behalf.
Perhaps it's curiosity. I care not for the past. But this is my past. Hope it doesn't bite me in the ass.
Before I stormed out the door,
The Queen comes in my chambers unannounced.
She looks vexed, I figured she's crossed with me again.
I just stood still, in front of the Queen, I must be sober and come clean.
I'm sorry, I muttered
I try my best to be cultured.
I feel cluttered between the walls of my chamber.
I try telling you, but you've always been a shutter.
I'm sorry mama.
Going outside these walls has nothing to do with how uncultured you are, but how dangerous you live.
We living in dangerous times.
Humanity is at war.
This kingdom, your kingdom
Is the only one standing against the dark Lord Oza.
These walls keep us safe.
You....
For how long mother?
I interrupted her before she said another.
Lies I've been told for far too long. Our kinds have fallen
To this dark Lord.
Hell lives amongst us.
I will not agree with these lies.
Our walls will not keep us safe
From the demons outside.
It's only a matter of time
Before we all are Vanquished
From earth.
Mother! Can you not see?
Earth is Hell's new home.
As usual,
She dismissed my remark. Turning into the dark
She left with a bark.
Make sure you get ready for the evenings banquet.
I trust you'll look your best.
I hissed at those words.
Anger filled in my grudge.
I must find a way out of this mud, that has stained my sanity this much.
.......................
The Queen smiled to herself
To disguise the worry in her head.
"She's beginning to be more than what I can handle.
If this plan should work,
I must find a way to tame her."
She walks on ignoring her handmaid's birr.
Unable to see my father
I came back to my chambers
Frustrated and left with anger.
I fell on my bed, without noticing that someone was there.
Turned and looked to the corner of my chamber, she was standing there with a dress.
Is that suppose to be my dress?
She nodded with a yes.
It looks pretty I confess.
She smiled as my eyes digress.
Noticing a note on my bed,
I immediately opened the envelope on my bed.
I was stunned to see what it held.
Behind the envelop, it holds the name that challenged my rest.
Letters to Dale
That's what the note said.
¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶¶
At the banquet I stayed.
An empty vessel as always to any date, I didn't pay attention to the charade. Lost in those letters of Dale, I was left buried in questions, it's now a relay.
I'm close to my minds brink
I cannot understand what it all means. As I was shocked back to the fake bliss by a clink.
He cheered, and then gave a wink.
"You look dashing princess"
He said with such zing
With his smile so charming
Staring back at me.
Even with me awed, it still hasn't sink.
"It's funny how your parents choose to call you YALE instead of your birth name DALE"
My wine glass fell out of my hands, I didn't hear it shatter
I guess his hands were quicker.
I became weak in the knees.
I struggled with the weight, to keep at ease.
Nothing about me agrees.
As much as I tried to appease my weak knees, I failed the attempt with ease.
Didn't know when I let out a sneeze.
Helped up by the guest and servants, this stranger stands before me. This time asking for my hand.
Is it for a dance?
He glared at me.
"You should know there's a bounty out for thy head. A dance should be the least of your worries."
I gored at the sound of his tease.
Left with one question
I stood there utterly confused
At what my answer should be.
To be continued......
