Alexis-9

Alex was lying on the couch with her textbook on her knees when Violet silently walked into the apartment. She leaned against the door for a long moment before Alex turned towards her.

"What has gotten into you? Do I need to beat up someone?" she chuckled.

Violet slowly shook her head, a smile blooming on her face.

"I met someone. I don't know. I just have a good feeling about him."

Alex arched an eyebrow.

"This someone have a name?"

"Kip Hardy. He's in my creative writing class and is a talented writer."

"Ah, so he's one of those quiet deep ones, right?"

Violet seemed to snap out of her mild reverie, pushing herself off the door.

"Way to stereotype, Alex. But yes, I think he might be one of those. Anyway, are you going to the football game tonight?"

Alex groaned, "Maybe. Midterms are next week so I should get some studying done."

"Well, I'm going to be with Flynn, just so you know."

Alex's lip pulled up slightly, "That buff guy I saw you talking to?"

"Don't give me that look. He's a good guy. He was in one of my classes last year.

"So you're not going to be hanging out with Kip?" Alex took her book and pretended to kiss it passionately.

"Oh gosh, stop!" Violet blushed and stuck out her tongue. "Wait until you start swooning after someone."

Alex turned a page.

"Don't hold your breath."
